Battery saver rom? - General Questions and Answers

Is there anything battery saver ROM? I have 1650 mha akkumlator, and its running out of energy in about 6 hours. Even if I do not really use it. Any suggestion to make that battery life a bit longer? (New akkumlator ....)

I think you could first check which apps are consuming the power.

Where can i check it?

search for the compatible kernel either for jb or bg..

I use gamerzrom maybe the 3 or 4 th version with semaphore kernel.. Can u suggest any better one?

stock rom for you phone i think have best battery save no ?

you could download es task manager to kill unwanted tasks that are draining battery

Actually not apps are draining my battery. Its the android os and the screen. Can I anyhow make the screen brightness even darker? When i put it to the minimum its like apple stuffs on full bright... 40% screen light on battery 14% os ...

Help with Roms, Karnels, Etc..

ok so i got my charge 2 days ago and am rooted with Gingerbread leak,
so i have some questions.
First: is there roms for gingerbread? because i couldn't find any.
Second: what kernels are there for GB? can i use PBJ?
Third: now ever since i got the phone it drains batter pretty quick with everything off. and hardly using it maybe about 20% per hour. i tried undervolting with Setcpu but wasn't successful, so what app do you guys recommend to undervolt the charge? or any guides to do so?
thanks,
Check out the development section. Gummy Charged GBE is great

I did, thanks for the reply. now i have voodoo and on the recovery sais enable 100mhv something like that. is that so i would get more battery?
You can't undervolt on gb because its a leak meaning no kernel source.
I think setcpu will let you underclock which would give better battery life but reduce performance considerably.

Whenever you change roms, you should calibrate your battery. It works wonders

You need to return to stock, then fresh Odin GummyCharged GBE 1.9RC2.3 if you want Gingerbread as it's really the only modified Gingerbread rom. Eclipse is available, but i'm not sure if the dev still supports it or not. The quick battery drain is something that goes along with the fact Gingerbread is a leak. GummyCharged team has done a wonderful job with minimizing this drain. I have found it actually has better battery life than Froyo. That's just my personal experience.

Try to wipe battery stats at 100% and get through at least two charge cycles, it helped in my case
personally , stock ROM has longest battery life
I´m running MV Nexus Rom with matrix 10.5... Using 1320/440... Deep idle enabled and max freq when screen off enabled and it´s giving an awesome battery life... I´m using a TMo Nexus S

Battery Life test Results

I was pretty pleased with my results here, so I thought I'd share. This is done with both OC and UV and making use of the the 3500mah batt and with moderate/normal use.
I can get that on stock battery, you must play some games and leave your phone on full brightness at all times or something.

No, I play one game in particular, and I spend more time on the web on my phone than most people do on their computer. I could get that on a stock battery too, if I never actually used my phone Before the the changes I made, I was getting significantly less life. Especially with OC.
It looks like the moment you turn your screen on your battery life plummets.

Thats from Oc'ing to 1560 lol
It's more useful to post test results on a standard battery and standard voltages and clock speeds so others can compare. I've gotten 3 days on stock CM7 nightly before, it really depends on how much one uses their phone. The biggest clue to how a ROM or kernel affects battery is to look at the idle drain (maybe with data off too). It should be flat or with < 0.5%/hr drain.
Where'd you get the 3500 Mah battery you are using? I've been trying to find a decent maker for one.

Best battery life ROM?

Which ROM do y'all think gives the best battery life? I'm on baked right now and right as I get out of school I'm down to 35% usually, thanks

I use viper and it is giving me a good battery life. I don't know about aokp/cm. I think you should try everything and then you will chose whatever is good for your needs.

For me, cm10 gives better battery life than stock Sense. I think it depends on how you use your phone.
I'm using Baked too, but for me battery life is just great! Actually on 57% with 8h 27m and almost 1.5h screen...

Of course rooting for battery is a good idea. Undervolted & underclocked kernels, delete bloatware that's constantly running, etc. And as far as best battery life, baked has been very kind to my phone.
A typical day for me (7am on phone for 2-3 hours reading the news before work, music to/from work, light usage on breaks, then hotspot at home for internet, and all the calls/texts in between and countless downloads) will leave me with 20-30% battery when I go to bed around midnight

Battery Saver App

Hi, All with my brand new, rooted, unlocked bootloader, and new kernel, HTC ONE S CS (S3) I've noticed poor battery performance.
So is there any app that could help? Of course they are many, but actually is one of them work good on HTC ONE S? Thanks.
There isn't really an app that can save you battery. It depends on what ROM your on. You should around and see which works best

I'm using battery guru. Just started using it so I'm not really sure how well its working. I have found that the kernel can really affect battery life, try flashing to another kernel and give it a couple of days to see if its better.

Kernel is the main contributor to battery life as it is mainly what controls everything behind behind the scenes
