EDIT: i found vodafone ics ruu, up to u if u wana flash it, take a look. Also do a good google search first and try find it urself from a well known trusted site because i take no responsibility if it dont work or fails epicly. Also i couldnt find the uk voda ics ruu on the usuall sites like shipped roms etc etc, so be carefull

Once you've now fully charged the battery, use wall charger much quicker than USB.
What model is the phone (is it a desire s)? What ROM was on the phone? Stock ROM? was a Custom recovery installed? What does the bootloader screen say? Was the phone S-OFF or root?
yes its a desire s. no rom on the phone stock sense. no custom recovery. just stuck on bootloop. bootloader says
saga pvt ship s-on rl
hboot-0.98.002
radio-3805.06.02.03_m
emmc-boot
mar 30 2011, 17:29:31
if i press recovery it shows a black screen with green ''sync'' arrows and a green arrow pointing down to a phone. after about 10 seconds the screen cuts off then vibrates about 8 times

since it is not S-OFFed and there is no custom software on it the best option IMO is to give it for a warranty repair
Your phone is S-ON so you better should take a walk to the Service Center, Have a chat and then post here what they are saying..

Again ensure that battery fully charged
If it's not possible to return to warranty as a result of logistics, then first and I'd say only option is to try to run an ruu to restore the phone to state you bought it on, you need to download and run the ruu from a PC.
You need HTC drivers installed on PC see link in my sig
Then download stock ruu from link in Dev section index thread, use the one that is most like what ROM was on phone to start with with regards region and carrier.
Put phone onto bootloader connect via USB and run ruu from PC
If no joy post error or return to warranty as previously recommended.
Good luck
Swyped from my Desire S using XDA Premium
Would it be possible to download the ruu on my dinc2 SD card and save it as PMG32IMG or w.e it is for fascinate s and put that SD card in the fascinate and boot into bootloader?

For the Desire S the name of the update image is PG88IMG
For an s-off phone within warranty youre better off turning it in to HTC for repair / replacement.
Thanks everyone for the help. Does anyone have a link for desire s ruu? I don't really have the time to search religiously lol

Here you can find all that you need. The RUU is in the "Stock ROMs" section
Thanks just bookmarked it. Is there any way to tell which carrier is on his phone? It gets hung up at the splash screen I was thinking maybe the radio or something?

[Q] Can some one please anwsered my question freakin out lol

ok i just got finished rooting my sensation 4g and everything geting it s-off and i was on my way to flashing a firmware but i think i may of messed up ive searched everwhere when i start my phone it dous HTC then dous the HTC and the little words underneith it then it restarts is my phone messed or is this something stupidly simple please help freaking out and oh btw i was flashing the firm where from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1468683 i think the problem is i tryed to flash it in clock work mod recovery dunno if i was supose to do it there or not i tryed the how to fix radio bootloop but it didnt do anything should i try to flash to stock rom? im a noob but quick learner can some one help plz
Not to sound harsh but if you didn't read up on fixing issues should they occur then you should not have even attempted to flash anything.
It's starting to get really annoying having to constantly bail out n00bs who haven't a clue what they're doing. ALL the information is available to you so you have no excuses not to know what to do
i no im a big noob and a complete idiot ive flashed other phones but im new to the sensation any help would be appreciated
come on some one please i love this phone i just want a little help.... if its bricked tell me please some one help......
Dude, as the other guy said the information is out there and not even hard to find. But I'm in a good mood ....
Firstly, you don't flash firmware in recovery, you boot into bootloader. Secondly, once flashed you MUST delete it from your SD card. Otherwise your phone is going to go into a big fat boot loop. Thirdly, if you are flashing custom ROMs, make sure you read the first few posts of the dev's thread and understand what firmware you need to be running. Otherwise your phone is going to go into a big fat boot loop.
Do yourself a huge favour and make sure you read, read, read before you try anything else on your phone
Also, when creating a thread to ask a question, please give it a meaningful title. I thoroughly detest "Pleeeeeease help me LOL" thread titles and don't normally even view them.

Remember firmware can not be flashed using recovery.
You have to put it on the root of your sdcard and boot into bootloader.
Read this thread . Read very carefully before doing anything.

Ok to be very specific, answer me the following questions with very clear words.
A. Can you boot into bootloader??
To boot into bootloader do the following.
1. Power off your sensation.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Wait a minute.
4. Put the battery again.
5. Press Power + Volume Down key together.
6. The phone will boot into bootloader.
B. If you can boot into bootloader, then give us the full details of the screen message. If possible upload a photo of your bootloader screen.
C. What ROM did you tried to flash ???? Is it GB or ICS ??
D. What do you mean by "but it cant find the phone cause its stuck in the loop" . Even if you are in bootloop adb will be able to detect you phone .
yes i can get into bootloader and it says this

So you have actually flashed the firmware then. Have you then removed the firmware from your SD card? You MUST remove the firmware file from the SD card. Take the SD card out of the phone and use a card reader or another phone to do this. If you don't have anything else, there is a trick I've used.
Connect up the phone and open a command prompt. Type:
Code:
adb reboot recovery
If you get 'error: no device found' just hit the up arrow and enter. Keep doing this until you get no response on the command line. Then the phone will boot into recovery and you can 'toggle USB storage' from there and delete PG58IMG.zip using your computer.
yes i have deleted it then i restarted the phone and it still continuously loops the same thing over and over agian

Everything looks fine. Can you try someother ROM? Some users reported that firmware v3.24 didn't work but v3.12 worked fine. So I will suggest to try some other rom. If the problem persist then try v3.12 firmware.

If you're returning it to STOCK then you use the one it came with. However, if you're not sending it back to TMOUS (which I don't think you are) then you could just flash the EU 1.50.401.1 RUU

Hello,
I'm a complete noob.
My sensation 4G has decided to stop working. (HTC start up screen loops) I sent my phone to HTC but they want to take all my money. Phone repair guy says it just needs new software update, but wont do it for me. SO Ive tried flashing ROMs but it seems I dont have the correct ones. Some have CID error, some have MID error. Is this the right thing to do?
I really need to find a ROM that is compatible with my phone. I dont need anything fancy, just one that will let me text people and maybe even make a call. :crying:
I have unlocked using HTC dev.

I dont know if this info helps.
Does anybody have any idea what I can do to get this thing working again?
Thanks

Yes I installed 4EXT recovery and can get into it. I have tried following some guides to get S-OFF but they always fail. Which S-OFF method should I use?
pohh Maybe you should try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195902 for me worked as a charm hope for you as well try searching some guide how to flash custom ROM you should use a SSD memory card reader, and you should try to find a guide to install e recovery app something like that " http://www.xda-developers.com/android/super-utility-for-the-htc-sensation-4g-and-xe/ " " http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1668276 " have a try and hope will go everything toa good end

HTC sensation, ROM UPDATE FAILED! help please

HTC SENSATION 4GHi there,
I had the "revolutionary s-off installed" Rooted htc.
I was trying to update my stuff. so I used the following link to do that.
Sorry I had to do that, as I am not allowed to put outside link. I just putted to make you well aware of my situation.
androidforums(.)c o m /thunderbolt-all-things-root/467448-updated-4-18-12-rooted-ota-2-11-605-19-files(.html)
Downloaded all three files.
PG05IMG.html - install was aborded I tried this was first
Ginger_BreadRock_V3.2_2.11.605.19.zip ----- successful
GBR-V33_-_21160519_710RD.html---- tried third was successful
I did all the things, wiped all user data, davlik, cache. And then installed the GBR-V33 and placed PG05IMG zip file into my sd card but my phones doesn't seems to turn on. It gets stuck on HTC logo screen.??
After installing GBR-V33 I tried going to to the Hboot so that I can update PG05IMG but my phone doesn't ask me for that, also I can't manually update PG05IMG, installation gets aborted.
Since this didn't work, I tried the Custom ROM.
insertcoin-roms (dot)org/archives/insertcoin-with-sense-4-stable-1-1-1
Placed it on my SD card and followed the screen instruction but this time my phone start, comes to HTC SENSACTION with audio beats and keeps restarting??
No matter how much I tried I can't get my phone fully on??
Please help me.
What can I do to make my phone the way it was. mean to be able to use my phone again?
Thanks in advance
I am really worried.
Well your phone was bootlooping when you installed insert coin sense 4 Rom means ....you probably didn't have correct/updated firmware...
Can you post the details from your bootloader screen...
I want hboot version, radio, soff or son
You cam go to bootloader by switching off your phone- remove the battery and put it back-them press power + volume down button together..then you will get bootloader screen

Ohh got your problem...you got non compatible firmware....and you need to update it....here get the firmware 3.32.401.x from this threadhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
You need to get 3.32 firmware based on your cid..
If you are supercid then use any 3.32 firmware ....else get the firmware based on tour cid...
If you don't know your cid then
Use this command to get cid
"fastboot getvar cid"
If its 11111111 then you are supercid
EDIT
Follow step 4 and step 5 from this thread to properly install firmware

if you got nandroid backup .....you can restore data of the apps...(do this only if you got ICS based nandroid backup) ..that will bring back your apps upto date...(but first install all the apps again...i think this will be taken care of if you add your google account)
Well.
I didn't create any back-up. and also I forgot my google security question as well as password.
I think I will start by installing all the apps I can remember.
BTW what about the apps I have stored in my sd card? will I be able to use them?

you mean the apps that were moved to your sd card...from internal storage...
then i cant say for sure ...but as per my understanding they should work...
just check in settings-apps -on sd card.....
you should see the apps on sd card
When I formatted, it deleted everything.
All the apps has been removed but I have all my pic on my sd card.
never mind. I will install all apps one by one.
This time I will try to remember my google account.lool
Thanks again for all your help. I already hitted Thanks many times, anywhere I will do it again.
I am off now.
Bye.
Have a great day.

You got S-OFF / superCID infact you can flash any RUU of any region/provider as long as is not older than the installed one.
Which country/region you need?
You should look here for the RUU http://androidruu.com/?developer=Ville
Step by step guide from "Flashalot" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2678700
Thanks for quick reply... Can you give a complete procedure & exact firmware RUU? Because most HTC phone in my country don't have a supported Box like Spookey if i get Deadboot phone... I need more ideas & information...
First thing is first, you need to update the firmware. [URL=" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2322755]This link [/URL] should help you about that since the device is s-off. Then flash a custom recovery, I recommend twrp 2.7.0.0, mount sdcard via twrp, copy the rom's zip to sdcard, install rom from recovery. That's all.
Sent from my One S
Edit:
I had a strange problem with tapatalk. It messed up my post

When its done, you can install a custom recovery. I prefer TWRP http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/ville
You can flash it with this tool --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471151

I just looked out the bandwidths for the One S. In the USA its only sold by T-Mobile and Solavei. Both providers use the GSM(As used in Europe) frequencies and that means the choosen RUU should usable in the USA too.
Yes sir, i always used Europe Firmware for every phone brands for universal use...
Off Topic:
I've finished all download software & firmware, but the battery phone is less than 30% said by the RUU software, i'm disassembling the unit now, then unplugging battery into motherboard to separately charge the battery by using RPS...

I think its not charging when connecting to charger because the phone does not in normal mode, and keeps restarting and restarting instead of charging... i observed this before using multi-tester its just stuck at 3 volts, yet not make a fully charge caused of phone faulty...
One more thing... If i passed the RUU, then in Custom Recovery what should i choose in S4 variant or S3 variant?
