HTC SENSATION 4GHi there,
I had the "revolutionary s-off installed" Rooted htc.
I was trying to update my stuff. so I used the following link to do that.
Sorry I had to do that, as I am not allowed to put outside link. I just putted to make you well aware of my situation.
androidforums(.)c o m /thunderbolt-all-things-root/467448-updated-4-18-12-rooted-ota-2-11-605-19-files(.html)
Downloaded all three files.
PG05IMG.html - install was aborded I tried this was first
Ginger_BreadRock_V3.2_2.11.605.19.zip ----- successful
GBR-V33_-_21160519_710RD.html---- tried third was successful
I did all the things, wiped all user data, davlik, cache. And then installed the GBR-V33 and placed PG05IMG zip file into my sd card but my phones doesn't seems to turn on. It gets stuck on HTC logo screen.??
After installing GBR-V33 I tried going to to the Hboot so that I can update PG05IMG but my phone doesn't ask me for that, also I can't manually update PG05IMG, installation gets aborted.
Since this didn't work, I tried the Custom ROM.
insertcoin-roms (dot)org/archives/insertcoin-with-sense-4-stable-1-1-1
Placed it on my SD card and followed the screen instruction but this time my phone start, comes to HTC SENSACTION with audio beats and keeps restarting??
No matter how much I tried I can't get my phone fully on??
Please help me.
What can I do to make my phone the way it was. mean to be able to use my phone again?
Thanks in advance
I am really worried.
Well your phone was bootlooping when you installed insert coin sense 4 Rom means ....you probably didn't have correct/updated firmware...
Can you post the details from your bootloader screen...
I want hboot version, radio, soff or son
You cam go to bootloader by switching off your phone- remove the battery and put it back-them press power + volume down button together..then you will get bootloader screen

How to do I correct this?
I have download the Ginger_BreadRock_V3.2_2.11.605.19, and installed it from Zip sd card. Installation was successful but when I reboot and enter the Hboot menu, I should be automaticalled asked shall I update PG05IMG.
But it doesn't ask me. It is placed on my sd card. Not in any folder
Also the installed was successful Ginger_BreadRock_V3.2_2.11.605.19 but my hboot version doesn't change?

Ohh got your problem...you got non compatible firmware....and you need to update it....here get the firmware 3.32.401.x from this threadhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
You need to get 3.32 firmware based on your cid..
If you are supercid then use any 3.32 firmware ....else get the firmware based on tour cid...
If you don't know your cid then
Use this command to get cid
"fastboot getvar cid"
If its 11111111 then you are supercid
EDIT
Follow step 4 and step 5 from this thread to properly install firmware

if you got nandroid backup .....you can restore data of the apps...(do this only if you got ICS based nandroid backup) ..that will bring back your apps upto date...(but first install all the apps again...i think this will be taken care of if you add your google account)
Well.
I didn't create any back-up. and also I forgot my google security question as well as password.
I think I will start by installing all the apps I can remember.
BTW what about the apps I have stored in my sd card? will I be able to use them?

you mean the apps that were moved to your sd card...from internal storage...
then i cant say for sure ...but as per my understanding they should work...
just check in settings-apps -on sd card.....
you should see the apps on sd card
When I formatted, it deleted everything.
All the apps has been removed but I have all my pic on my sd card.
never mind. I will install all apps one by one.
This time I will try to remember my google account.lool

Hi guys
I have really strange problem, could you please help me out.
I am was using insert coin rom 4.4.1 and every thing was good so far,
Then i have realized that i have s- off and rooted my phone but i didn't super cid it
So i want to do that, i have supercid it by following the steps listed in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300.
After i reboot the phone, it stayed in the flash screen (HTC screen)
I have reinstalled the rom and even other roms, but nothing was done.
I have tried to reflash it using firmwire 3.24 but samething.
FYI: i have already supercid it i have checked it by adb and it is 11111111
There is small problem, i didn't remember my proper cid, all i know it is a europe version of sensation.
i have this written in recovery session:
REVOLUTIONARY
pyramid PUT ship s off RL
boot 1.27.1110
Radio 11.21.3504.13.2
Open ADSP V02-6-0.2226.00.0104

Please help me i am lost here, DONT TELL ME THAT I HAVE DAMAGED THE PHONE!!
Thanks
Not sure if this will help
Hey I am not sure about your problem not heard of this. Maybe you need to super cid before flashing new firmware. Maybe if you can remember what your cid was before, you can change back and see if it makes any difference. maybe once returned to the stock cid you can revert firmware and then super cid. I am not sure though! I am just taking a stab at it since no one else has answered. here is a link with some firmware and it also tells stock cid's for different carriers/countries. Also maybe try flashing different firmware.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
maybe that will refresh your memory to what yours was.
Good Luck
P.S. I think that since you still have access to recovery you will be able to resolve the issue (not hard bricked yet), just need to figure out what the problem is exactly.
Given that you still have access to your SDcard, trying flashing a new rom and firmware (go for Virtuous Inquisition).

If you wanna use ARHD 3.6.13 you need to downgrade your firmware to 3.12 or 1.17 it won't run on 3.24
I would downgrade your firmware, go to a GB rom, get it so your phone boots, then go through the process of going back to ICS.

Last time when I had major issue with my phone, I flashed couple different firmwares and different ICS and GB ROM. And somehow it worked for me. I'm just saying there's always hope. Dont give up! And good luck!
flash the latest official eu RUU, if nothing works.
You can always s-off/root then afterwards.

Nothing, most do not use fastboot commands, so don't worry about it. You are still s-off and able to flash any rom you desire.

I have downgraded my firmwire to 3.12 and i have used hd 3.16.13 GB rom.
The bad news is that nothing done yet, stucking in HTC splash screen.
But there is something i want to add, may be is the clue to this problem .
I have realized that when i remove my SD card from the phone and i want to read it in my PC, it appears protected each time and this is strange (virus effect).
may be my SD card was damaged and it is the only problem of stucking???
What do you think guys??

Perhaps you accidentally set some sort of sharing protection on the SD card, which doesn't let the phone access the adequate files? If so, try reformatting your card on fat32. And then copy back the firmware/rom and attempt flashing again.
i have already formatted the SD card, coping Rom and firmwire PG58IMG reflash the rom .
Still stuck in HTC S screen.
What about RUU?
Any suggestion ?

If your bootloader says LOCKED like you previously indicated then you can not use fastboot commands as kpjimmy already said. Because you never supercid your phone you probably have some partial firmware update.
If I were you I would flash an older RUU to get to a known stable config and then start over.
No i have changed the firmwire and it is written revolutionary in purple.

You have to remove the firmware from the card after flashing it. But to bypass it, does your phone boot once you flash the rom and then remove the sd card?
kpjimmy
when i updated the firmware hboot then the phone wrote push the power button to reboot, the problem is the phone will try to run the rom already installed in the phone, so i am forced to remove the battery and then remove the firmware from my PC.
in order to install the new rom.
I'm using Android Revolution HD ICS ROM from mike since a couple of days,
but i noticed that i'm stil ***locked*** in de Boot menu.
I want to flash my radio, but this is not working now.

There have been many people with the same issue. Please do some research, educate.
All that means is fastboot commands aren't going to work, most people rarely use them so you'll be fine.
Oke thanks, but do you know what i need to do to get it fixed?
(for my education)
Well you can flash a new update with the revolutionary bootloader. Kohr-Ah has a tidy selection with everything you could need located at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
Head over to the second post and find the section that matches your carrier/CID. Download the 3.24 Unlocked version for your CID and put it on the root of your SD. Now, reboot your phone while holding volume down. The bootloader will detect the PG58IMG file and ask if you want to perform the update. Hit volume up, and it'll update a few things. Then, it'll reboot back into the new bootloader and update the rest. After that, make sure you have an ICS based rom (preferably one built from the 3.24 base, and you're all set. Be sure to delete the PG58IMG after updating, because the bootloader will pick it up every time and refuse to do anything else until it's gone.
Edit: However, I forgot to mention, it really depends on what you mean by "fixed", because you can currently run any rom and do most anything even with a locked bootloader. However, since it is a ten minute fix, I suppose it's worth doing.

Not to sound harsh but if you didn't read up on fixing issues should they occur then you should not have even attempted to flash anything.
It's starting to get really annoying having to constantly bail out n00bs who haven't a clue what they're doing. ALL the information is available to you so you have no excuses not to know what to do
i no im a big noob and a complete idiot ive flashed other phones but im new to the sensation any help would be appreciated
come on some one please i love this phone i just want a little help.... if its bricked tell me please some one help......
Dude, as the other guy said the information is out there and not even hard to find. But I'm in a good mood ....
Firstly, you don't flash firmware in recovery, you boot into bootloader. Secondly, once flashed you MUST delete it from your SD card. Otherwise your phone is going to go into a big fat boot loop. Thirdly, if you are flashing custom ROMs, make sure you read the first few posts of the dev's thread and understand what firmware you need to be running. Otherwise your phone is going to go into a big fat boot loop.
Do yourself a huge favour and make sure you read, read, read before you try anything else on your phone
Also, when creating a thread to ask a question, please give it a meaningful title. I thoroughly detest "Pleeeeeease help me LOL" thread titles and don't normally even view them.

Remember firmware can not be flashed using recovery.
You have to put it on the root of your sdcard and boot into bootloader.
Read this thread . Read very carefully before doing anything.

Ok to be very specific, answer me the following questions with very clear words.
A. Can you boot into bootloader??
To boot into bootloader do the following.
1. Power off your sensation.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Wait a minute.
4. Put the battery again.
5. Press Power + Volume Down key together.
6. The phone will boot into bootloader.
B. If you can boot into bootloader, then give us the full details of the screen message. If possible upload a photo of your bootloader screen.
C. What ROM did you tried to flash ???? Is it GB or ICS ??
D. What do you mean by "but it cant find the phone cause its stuck in the loop" . Even if you are in bootloop adb will be able to detect you phone .

So you have actually flashed the firmware then. Have you then removed the firmware from your SD card? You MUST remove the firmware file from the SD card. Take the SD card out of the phone and use a card reader or another phone to do this. If you don't have anything else, there is a trick I've used.
Connect up the phone and open a command prompt. Type:
Code:
adb reboot recovery
If you get 'error: no device found' just hit the up arrow and enter. Keep doing this until you get no response on the command line. Then the phone will boot into recovery and you can 'toggle USB storage' from there and delete PG58IMG.zip using your computer.

Everything looks fine. Can you try someother ROM? Some users reported that firmware v3.24 didn't work but v3.12 worked fine. So I will suggest to try some other rom. If the problem persist then try v3.12 firmware.

Well Im going to quickly explain my way I rooted the new hboot (NOT S-OFF)
In all my time trying all methods I found a couple that did things for me.
First was the all in one kit http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...-mytouch-4g-slide-amaze-4g-rezound-and-vivid/
this I used to unlock boot loader and have a recovery img
but it didnt want to root my phone. Su granted and all.
With that said I hope this can help people who want a little change until a s-off method comes about but this is a whole lot to work with for now.
Thanks to everyone and I hope this helps.

Unlocking through htcdev and then installing recovery and superuser.apk will give you root permissions....not hard to root anymore. If you want s-off it is a bit more tricky but even with s-on you can flash roms just have to do kernel seperately

I did the wire trick also. It took me about 10-15 times for it to actually work though. The 0.4 version of the program worked with me. Just takes patience and truly following instructions. Now I don't have to flash ONLY at my computer anymore. So glad of that!

For me, the first couple times I tried it the response was always something different (from it saying things like "couldn't find bar" to "connect device" even though it was connected). I asked around a little but since it was still kind of experimental there was no definite answer for much of anything. When I got ver 0.4 a few of the same errors happened but not as much. For some reason I found that restarting my computer and then running the program worked. Every time I did it went further in the ControlBear program, then finally when I did the wire trick the phone rebooted but not into fastboot, it just stayed at the boot animation logo while the program finished its work. I think the results vary for everyone...My SD card did crash but I was able to restore it with the info Indirect posted. It was an extra card tho, I keep them laying around.
Ok so heres the link. I still have it ---> Ver 0.4
help please

Good day, and welcome to XDA!
What is the OS on your PC? Windows, Mac, Linux, or something else? Which drivers have you tried? I had good luck in the past with the adbsetup package, but your mileage may vary.
Hope this provides a good start.
My HTC Sensation doesnt let me factory reset it, I know, weird right? sorry, I'm completely noob at this. When I go to settings > storage > factory rest on my ics HTC sensation, it shuts down to reveal the htc logo then after a few seconds it boots into the bootloader. PLEASE PLEASE someone help. EDIT: i found vodafone ics ruu, up to u if u wana flash it, take a look. Also do a good google search first and try find it urself from a well known trusted site because i take no responsibility if it dont work or fails epicly. Also i couldnt find the uk voda ics ruu on the usuall sites like shipped roms etc etc, so be carefull
