ODIN Flashable Stock Recovery - I337UCUAMDL_I337ATTAMDL_ATT - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 General

Started on my attempt to look for stock recovery for the I337 with no avail. Attached is the stock recovery for I337UCUAMDL_I337ATTAMDL_ATT flashable from ODIN after unzipping.
Good luck...

This will put the stock recovery back on a device with mdl firmware?

Oh man, here come the hordes of " I was on MF3, and I bricked my device" threads.

Only if they're dopes and don't do their research and know mdl is not the same as mf3.

They never research that's why "I bricked my phone"section is so big lol

Yes but you must agree the sprint updater was a more solid device for flashing roms. Once we had that we all abandoned odin.

This is my first Samsung phone so I can't agree with that, but I don't refute it because I have no experience with Odin. I can say for sure that a good recovery is about as solid and easy a way to flash a rom as I can imagine. I came from the HTC hero and backup/restore/flashing from recovery is by far my preference.
Not to be a fire starter but my experience on the moment odin alwayss worked perfectly and sprint update utility usually required multiple attempts and battery pulls to get past 1%. I'm not saying I don't want to see an official update utility just saying.
That is true. SWU for the Moment was tempermental but a quick unplug and replug and making sure it wasn't in debug wasn't a terrible option. Either way an official would be great to see and we have options in the meantime!
Swu for moment works great as long as you don't have debug drivers or new pc studio installed. But it's kind of stupid. And an official will be good If we can't get in recovery or boot

Just rooted, how do I flash roms/recoveries

Just rooted with one click root and I'm trying to install a custom recovery so i can flash roms and such... I see something telling me to use ODIN but I have no clue what that is.
I tried to flash the .zip from the sticky in the development section but the stock recovery obviously wouldn't work. This phone is much more complicated to work with when compared to my evo lol

Maybe you should read them before you answer with nonsense
I just wanna get a recovery on this phone and everything starts with ODIN, no clue what that is. I googled it and downloaded something but it doesn't appear to be what I need.
Something a little more clear would be helpful..
Nevermind, got it
Actually, the link is in a sticky . . . just not in the General section, lol. It's in the Development section, Files to get your Mesmerize back to stock 2.1 and 2.2.1.

Better buy a nomex suit cause you're about to get torched.
Wrong place for a QUESTION. Look in the Bible and there are plenty of odin flashable ROMS as well as a kernel to gain root. Hope I don't come off as offensive it's just a lot of people here are getting tired of this type of stuff(me included).
EDITED TO ADD
Man there are THREE ODIN flashable roms on the front page of the dev section right NOW. LOOK before you post.
Thanks, I will keep looking i guess.

The amount of time that it would take me to go find you a ROM you can flash via Odin would be the same amount of time that it would have taken you to read a little and locate the correct section to post this. Give a little to get a little, until then...

He's the mod so he's making sure you did
Anyways if your on GB and you want to use Odin why not flash a Dr Honk kernel you will get Cwm/ root and voodoo lagfix and ext4 aat the same time! Lol then you can flash the rom of your choice.
You can also use superoneclick 2.2 if all you want is root.

[Q] Unroot my SGSII

Ok,
I'm trying to Unroot my phone and I've looked all around, including outside of XDA and I cannot find a fix. The K0nane method is a no go. Everytime I run it through ODIN it fails, giving me the DL screen of death on my phone. (phone----caution-----computer) I have to reflash the CWM .zip and it works again.
Can someone please PLEASE point me in the direction of a comprehensive unroot method? It would be greatly appreciated.
(yes I've looked, I've searched, I've combed, I cannot find anything that works for my Skyrocket.)
Any idea why Odin method doesn't work? Try the tar from sammy. Try a different version of Odin. Try a different computer or USB slot. Theres no reason it shouldn't work. Maybe reinstall drivers. Have you tried all that?
Sent from my SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
Have you Odin'ed the .tar from sammobile.com yet? It will take you back to original 2.3.5 unrooted and 3e recovery. Seems you are comfortable with Odin. Your phone will be unrooted. Make a backup of calls, schedules, messages and etc. With Kies then restore after you flash back to stock. You will have to redownload all of your apps. If you had a nandroid of 2.3.5 you could restore it then use the zergrush exploit to unroot.

Make sure your phone is connected via USB at moment you place the phone into firmware update (download mode) konane tar and Odin should work I hope that this is mistake you are making and that it works out for you mate.
---------- Edit---------
Make sure the phone is hooked up to the computer and then do the same step you would do to place the phone into recovery mode, without the USB cable connected your phone will not go into download mode. Make sure none of the boxes on the top are checked in.
Hey thanks guys, i'm looking into all of this asap. I appreciate all.the responses as soon as i'm back to a computer thanks to all.

Odds are if it doesn't work for your skyrocket means you are doing it wrong . Odin failing can happen for a variety of reasons. Bad usb cable, not using a Motherboard usb port on PC (if desktop use rear USB ports, don't use any adapters or external USB hubs), not using Download mode. Just to be sure run ODIN as admin. Plenty of references in general and Q&A.

Rooting was the easy step and from experience Samsung has the easiest to root phones. Mind you i'm saying this based on the blood, sweat and tears of the devs who paved the way. This is a great community and the tools available are awesome.
even for the absolute noob the"all in one" guide in the Dev forum is awesome. Hell even for someone not new to it the all in one rocks!
Again thanks so much guys, and for the record, after getting flamed enough times in the past for posting a question that I know damn well has been asked, yes I'll dump HOURS into combing the threads and googling and checking various other sources before I ask anymore. I never knew a community of people could be so hostile towards someone for asking, god forbid I was the pinnacle of noob and got some of the responses on a question that I've gotten in the past for various other phones and issues.

Not too recently. It just happens from time to time. You get people who instead of just shaking their heads and moving on they would rather let you know that your post insults them because they took the time to read a lot of similar posts...really its as easy as saying to one self "another one, really?" Then moving on.
