Hello
My HTC J Butterfly is currently in a state where I cannot use ADB (cannot install USB drivers):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2417098
Is there any way to install ROM without working ADB/USB ?
Of course if there is a way to fix the ADB/USB that would obviously help as well.
Thanks
Download the ROM on to your phone and install, that's if you have a working recovery.
Another way is OTA

Unfortunately I cannot download anything to the phone, because there is no ROM.
Bootloader and recovery are working fine.
Any other ideas ?
Thanks

I have flashed Droid DNA ROM to the phone. Since Droid does not support External sd card I cannot use the method you described.

It seems that the sideload option does not work either. Maybe it needs working ADB interface ?

What did you do? Take your sd card out and put it in the card reader on your pc. Download what ever ROM you want and put it on the root of your sd card. Then put the sd card back in the phone. If you are in the bootloader you should try getting into recovery. If you can then just do all wipes and flash the ROM you just put on there by installing from sd card.

Depending on what you've already tried, we can get you back just need to know where you are.

yes. relock your bootloader
from bootloader type fastboot oem lock
then you can flash the 1.85 RUU
just run the file from windows.
After that you can unlock with the same unlock token you got when you unlocked in the first place
then you can install recovery again
but the ruu requires the phone to be on and usb debugging on

You can find a link to the drivers in the first post in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709424
Once you have them installed you'll have to reboot in to fastboot and install the official 1.85 RUU.
Also so you know I had a similar experience when I was on cleanrom 2.6 and tried to format and go to 3.0. I had to relock the bootloader, RUU to stock and install a different rom cause 3.0 would just never install for me for whatever reason, it would always bootloop back in to recovery. However I had backed up my NANDROID to my PC so I copied it back over to my SD card after I was on stock then restored it then did an in-place upgrade to 3.1 which worked. I was able to install cleanrom 4 after a wipe without issue.
As the title said, since the ROM had blocked alot of my Nexus S main function(unable to connect Wifi, unable to connect to PC),now I even sta\uck in the boot screen. So I decided to remove it,to recover it back to my Android 4.1.2 But,I don't know how to. Can anyone tell me the steps to remove it?Please reply me ASAP,since I only have this phone, and I survive without my phone

And have you tried flashing factory images ? My sd card got stuck once too from flashing and this was the only solution that worked...

Okay, problem solved.Using the "ADB push" method will do.By following this guide:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667929 Just simply push the ROM into the SD card through fastboot mod,and flash the ROM,then everythings work fine. The ROM I used is Nexus S original ROM download from net.

Okays guys so my friend is having some issues, I can't solve it so I figured I would go ahead and ask you. When he plugs in his phone while in recovery to mount the sd card, nothing shows up on his computer. When trying to flash a custom rom or backup of a rom, it gives error status 7. I do not know what is wrong with it, and can not seem to find out how to fix it. I have spent the past hour or so browsing the forums after he did trying to find a resolve to the issue with no avail. If you can help me in any way it would be greatly appreciated.
What version of recovery are you using? Sounds like the SD card is corrupt from doing a factory reset in bootloader.

He is running TWRP 2.1.6, he does all of his wipes in recovery none in bootloader.
Edit: It even shows up in device manager, as a regular device. No exclamation point or anything. ADB even recognizes it in recovery mode.
Install the latest twrp and Wipe SD card in twrp then mount.

Attempting this right, he said that he flashed the newest one but he didn't. Thanks for the input this might just be a user error on his end.

In spite of that, it gave me the opinion to download htc sync manager. After two days trying (downloading and uninstalling htc sync and htc sync manager, rebooting my phone and pc, I have done nothing but ruin my nerves. How can have access to my memory and nedia again?
