Okay,
sure you got the one s with snapdragon s4 processor?
what is your hboot? you can see that when you are in the bootloader.
Wich rom did you install?

Problem connecting to pc
Could you please help with my issue? Some day last manth, completely out of the blue, my htc one s stopped connecting to my pc as external memory unit. In spite of that, it gave me the opinion to download htc sync manager. After two days trying (downloading and uninstalling htc sync and htc sync manager, rebooting my phone and pc, I have done nothing but ruin my nerves. How can have access to my memory and nedia again?
Please Help me!

[SOLVED]HELP : no operating system on my htc one s

hello guys , last night i tried rooting my phone and then installing a custom rom. i unlocked the bootloader , flashed custom recovery , and then Perm-rooted it. everything went well. then i tried to install custom rom and the dialog windows on my computer said ``its finished , enjoy trickdroid.``
so i rebooted the device and after that problems started. i couldnt get past htc welcome screen , the one with the normal eroor message with red letters (this system is for development purposes only..). i tried a few times again , but still nothing. so i went on internet to see how to recover from this , and i did everything by the book. i wiped delvik cache , normal cache and factory reset. even after that problem persisted. so i wiped system (ROM) and now i am left without system on my phone. i still cant get past that welcome screen with error message , and only thing i can do is boot into bootloader and recovery. PLS HELP , what do i need to do. this was my first rooting and i bricked it... THX
Go in recovery. Wipe cache and dalvic. Wipe system. Wipe factory reset. Install zip from sd card ( rom)
Reboot into bootloader. Flash the boot.img from the rom with fastboot. And then reboot and enjoy.
Maybe you can check of you have s3 or s4 processor before you flash anything. Greetz

ty, i did as you said. i mounted sd card on my copmuter , but now i cant acces it , windows doesnt let me before i ``format it``. ``You need to format the disk drive before you can use it`` message apears. Is it okay for me to do that?
Can't help you with that. Never tried that..
Di you make backup of your original rom in recovery?
Or you can try to run a ruu from your computer and try everything again...

anyone else knows if its safe for me to format the card via windows , since i cant use it if i dont do that?
You can check football's ville/ville c2 collection thread. You need ruu from c2
You can run it from Windows with your phone plugged in with usb cable.

no mate , i still havent copied my zip file to my sd card , because i need to format it before i can copy anything from my computer to phone. windows doesnt let me do anything before it formats it. the only question i need answered is : is it safe for me to format ``Removable Disk I:``(my phone) so i can then copy my zip file on my phone? ty
Either PM me or hit me up on gtalk - [email protected] and I will help you out and yes it is safe.

download custom ROM and place those files on it.. unmount from pc and try installing ROM
Download a rom and place it on the same folder where you have adb. Then you could try the following:
Adb push name_of_rom /sdcard/ name_of_rom
Then hit enter and while in recovery select the Rom and install....

[Q] TWRP wont let me flash rom, no OS installed

Well i was trying to install cleanROM 5.1 and cleanKERNEL on my HOX, but every time i would try it would say failed (unable to mount /sdcard, etc.) so i wiped my cache, did a factory reset, wiped external storage, then accidentally did a system reset so i have no OS installed now, i was running 2.20 before but found a tut to unlock bootloader and root. in bootloader it says ***tampered*** and ***unlocked***
So if i have a custom recovery installed that means im rooted right?
and basically what can i do to install this rom and kernel without an error

You have to plug it in to computer, open up "my computer" and click it... It'll ask you to reformat sdcard. Once its done, download cleanrom on your computer, mount your sdcard in trwp, and drag it onto your phone. open up recovery on your phone and flash entire rom

Just wanted to let you know that you are in the wrong forum. This is the HTC One XL forum, you need to ask your question in the Galaxy Nexus forum. That will be the best place to get an answer.

[Q] Bricked my HTC One S

Hi all,
Got mine today, tried to install a ROM and it got stuck in bootloop.
I did a number of stupid things not to mention wiping the SD and im in serious trouble.

Ive heard restoring a RUU can cure it but I have a MAC and cant find anything to help.
Can anyone help? Im gutted....and fell like an idiot.
Ive got an S4 on the three network.
Thanks
Hold down the power button for 10 seconds then after the touch buttons stop flashing, just hold the volume button and see if ot enters the bootloader.

You can find boot.img inside the ROM zip file

The phone is locked to 3 but as a noob I spent 2 days flashing a generic euro ROM.
When i realised i need a ROM to match CID i downloaded 1.53. Tried this a number of times with no joy.
Just tried 1.78 and it seems to be working

Htc One S bricked
Hi im relatively new at rooting and am currently experiencing issues with a bricked device.
i have two htc one s devices
my personal one is running cm10 ville with clockwork touch recovery and is working perfectly
however the second one i was using the same exact files.
this one is bricked
its in a constant bootloop.
i can get back to my recovery just fine and get to the fastboot in the phone fine
i cleared my cache
wiped my data and wiped the dalvik cache all perfectly fine when i try to flash the cm10 official rom back on it cannot mount the sd card
i would try to install a different recovery and try again maybe using viper one s
but i cannot get the phone to power on
it doesnt showup on the computer when it is plugged in while in fastboot
when i try the cmd fastboot flash recovery it says waiting for device
any advice. this is not my own phone so i need it repaired pretty quickly.
any helpful information would be much appreciated.

This little post just pulled me out of missery. Love ya man!
all you guys getting sorted
make a nandroid and sdcard bu NOW and put them on pc,
obviously leave a copy of nandroid on phone also
makes it a lot easier if you get in trouble again
and you/we will
Mounts and Storage --> Format everything --> Now Mount USB Drive --> Put Gapps and ROM
Flash it, erase cache & and Dalvik...Blah blah blah. Flash boot.img in fastboot, and there you go.
Everybody, please remember this and there won't be noob q&a anymore...

[Q] AT&T One X stuck in Fast boot will not connect to PC

Hey all, I have run into an issue with my HTC One X where my rom became corrupt and I am now stuck in TWRP and for the life of me I cannot get windows to recognize my phone. I have installed the HTC Drivers as well as HTC Sync.
I am able to create a backup successfully as well as wipe and factory reset, I just can not get my device to link up with my pc.
I had a restore point on my phone but at some point it was deleted however I still have one on my pc I just cant get it.
I have tried formatting with factory reset and external drive format, Hasoon2000 recovery & ADB Sideload.
Any help is greatly appreciated
** The phone shows up as a cd drive at all times.

I think it might be, When I mount it I only get the CD Drive (E and i cant access it. I felt it was wierd though that within TWRP I was able to make a successful restore point (although its a restore point with no Rom). And that is right im trying to send a rom over to the phone to make it useable.
Well I'm not really sure what's going on but you could try this

Could you ever connect with your pc while in bootloader? I'm assuming it worked at some point since you're rooted.
Try removing all HTC software and drivers from your PC, then reinstalling. When you're connected and in bootloader, use Task Manager to find and kill any running HTC processes. Sounds like you need to reformat your sdcard, but once you do that, you should be able to get a rom back on there.

I found the solution : Plug the phone to the PC, open in TWRP recovery / click on mount, then the PC ask to format the device, format in fat32. Then copy the rom to the sdcard. Flash it with TWRP. Done!
