Dear,
I read already about 20 post and I still don't untherstand how to let my sensation upgrade to 3.33.401.55
I can go in the bootloader and this one is showing :
UNLOCKED ( in pink color )
Pyramid PUTSHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.27.000
eMMC
Jan 13 2012, 17:33:34
Now I am on :
4.0.3
Sense 3.6
Soft 3.33.401.53
My phone keeps on asking if I want to update to v55.
If I select OK, it reboots and some time later, it asks the same again.
I can go in bootloader and select fastboot. It shows the CWM image for 2 sec and then continu to normal start up.
What do I need to do to get my update installed ?
( PS : I like to stay on the HTC image/soft )
Thanks for all answers.
U can't upgrade via ota with custom recovery, go back to stock recovery...

I have the same sort of problem. Still with your file it won't update. I get a screen with the android emblem and some blue thing in him that suggest there is something working. But in about a minute it just stops and restarts. Then it becomes clear nothing happened.
This is going on for at least a couple of weeks now and it is getting more than annoying.
Is there another solution to get this update to work?

Hehe you are too quick and I was at work anyway (surprise shift - phone call at 10 in the morning, not what I wanted to wake up to ). I will post a stock 3.33.401.154 build though (I dont think XE has had a .155 so .154 is the latest in XE version)
Anyone got the update yet (via OTA)? I've got nothig yet...
Here is CID list (extracted from file on OTA server):
modelid: PG5813000
cidnum: HTC__001
cidnum: HTC__E11
cidnum: HTC__N34
cidnum: HTC__203
cidnum: HTC__102
cidnum: HTC__405
cidnum: HTC__Y13
cidnum: HTC__A07
cidnum: HTC__304
cidnum: HTC__032
cidnum: HTC__016
mainver: 3.33.401.55
hbootpreupdate:12
But the file is a bit strange because it has old release keys (from v.53 not .55) in version info...
So I got the super cid to 1111111, and followed the instructions for turning the S-Off for my phone to the letter. I confirmed that by running the command "fastboot getvar cid" and got the super cid response of 11111111. Then I flashed Pac-Man rom pushed the zip, but when the rom booted, I couldn't enable USB Debugging because I couldn't use the touch screen.
Please help
Using:
Rom: re-flashed to Viper XL 3.6.6
Recovery: TWRP 2.4.4.4
Tried using pac-man rom.
Please keep help as simple as possible
Thanks

Hex edit your CID. See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2212737&highlight=hex+edit+cid
You need to have root obviously.
I'm not sure we should be telling noobs who can't even find their software version to hexedit. One typo or error when hexediting that partition will hardbrick you. I remember people doing it back when we first got the unlock exploit and there was no other way to do it. A couple of people accidentally left out digits when trying to do it and promptly killed their phones.

I'm specific about checking filesize before and after, if they follow directions, they should not brick, it's not my fault if they can't read. But, I do agree with you, that's why I'm so attitudish sometimes, I've said ti before and I'll say it a million times over. ROOTING IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. Too many people think of it as just a way to make their phones look cool. They don't understand the risk of having root access to a device that stores tons of personal information.

Exactly. Takes patientce. It isn't easy like a one click jail breaking tool. Many people asked me to root their phone and they had different phones, carriers, and versions. After explaining the risk, they agreed. I am very good at directions and have a 100% success rate. If anything happens it is because of them

You cannot write to system with that hboot. there's a guide in general section for telestra that should work and my guide in original android dev section will work too but Jet tool can be a bit risky.
Good luck.

I ain't talking about that either.
In sense based ROM, SETTINGS - ABOUT - SOFTWARE INFORMATION - MORE - BUILD NUMBER.

Check for the OTA FILES in the dev section with your baseband version for TMOUS. That would be your firmaware. 3.14 or 3.16...

It basically flashes a modified HBOOT, if anything is to go south, your phone goes with it so yes, IF it is to brick your phone, it will be pretty much bricked.
But your latest baseband and hboot indicates that you had updated your phone OTA, hence you have the firmware which they support.

Yes, if you haven't flashed any other firmware then you're good to go.
Fastboot is a feature of sense ROMs only. No need on CM.
The fastboot in hboot is a different thing.

If you have stock, then just select update from in stock recovery and select this OTA file.
By the way, i was of the view that you can directly use moonshine

How do you update the HBOOT when you're on CM 10.1?
I tried connecting my phone to my computer and running the latest RUU exe but it doesn't recognize my phone, does anyone have a flashable zip? Sorry to thread hijack but need a response and a fix asap.
