Can I ressurect this? - HTC One S

Phone details: Relocked - VilleC2 - S-ON RL- HBOOT 3.01.0000 - RADIO 16.11.20.24_M - CID: HTC_304
So after some bad hard reset the phone couldn't boot. I had TWRP installed so tried to wipe from there everything.. After trying that then the phone couldn't boot and only went to bootloader screen and TWRP. Then I tried to flash it and return it to stock so I downloaded:
RUU_VILLEC2_U_ICS_40_S_HTC_Europe_2.15.401.100_Rad io_16.21.20.02U_16.09.20.11_M2_release_286571_sign ed
Tried it and although it seemed to start then it finished with an error 155. When removing the cable the black HTC screen left and I saw: hboot version is older update fail.
Can I save this phone somehow? If yes how??
(I can't enter recovery)

Try downloading any JB ota for S3 from bugsy lawson as androidfiles downloads are corrupt.
Then use the method in my signature to get to stock ROM. Just SKIP steps 11 to 16 (i.e firmware update, don't do it)

Thanks for answering! Just two more question...
1)The file I downloaded is a zip and inside is a firmware.zip. Should I rename the zip file I download to firmware.zip or flash the firware.zip that is inside the zip file I downloaded?
2)Will I ruin the zip file if I open with winrar extract the file needed to change and then drag drop it in winrar (which is already open in a window)?

You don't need to do anything to the firmware.zip inside the OTA.zip.
Just follow the guide in my signature (skip steps 11-16)

Okay that's fine.
You might want to download it again as it can be a corrupted download.
Also you have to be bootloader unlocked to flash recovery.

Almost at the end. Stay with me a little more
Unlocked bootloader, flashed TWRP, entered it and went to mount USB storage to put the ota.zip inside (cause there is no sd card in this phone), windows asked to format drive and I said yes. After formating I saw in windows the drive, put the file in and unmounted. Then wiped data, cache, dalvik (all successful). Went to install and selected the ota.zip but got: E: Error in sdcard/ota.zip (status 6) Error flashing zip '/sdcard/ota.zip'

That's because you formatted it using windows. Bear in mind, correct formatting can only be done via stock recovery in our case.
That said, now you have to flash STOCK RECOVERY, format SD CARD then.
You can get stock recovery from Firmware.zip inside OTA.zip . Should be recovery.img or recovery_signed.img. extract recovery.Img from firmware.zip and flash it via fastboot.
Then go to bootloader, select Format Storage.
Reflash TWRP and continue with the process.

I did as you say... Flash stock recovery. Selected factory reset from bootloader. After it finished I flashed TWRP image and from there mounted USB storage. This time as you said windows didn't need to format the drive and I just put the ota.zip in but got again the same problem. status 6. Could I have done something wrong with the OTA? Should I go the same steps with editting and all or is status 6 another kind of problem?

What I can sense is that the sd partition should have been formatted using CLEAR STORAGE option in bootloader.
Other than that, double check the updater-script, that it has been edited correctly using NOTEPAD++ only, and omitting specific lines.
Try formatting again using stock recovery but using CLEAR STORAGE option, then selecting FACTORY RESET.

This seems to be a bug with 2.4.x.x versions of TWRP. If you downgrade to an old version, it should be OK, from what I've read.

errors given were E:unable to mount '/sdcard'
did you factory reset from bootloader if so you have corrupted your sd card there is a fix let me find it
I did this and this is what Xsmagical and I did to fix it.
Take the stock android recovery from a ruu or stock Rom. (I used the one from 1.85 ruu but it doesn't matter.)
Fastboot flash the stock recovery to your phone and then reboot into bootloader where you originally wiped.
Factory reset from hboot and then Fastboot flash twrp again, mount sd should be available now. Mount sd, copy whatever Rom onto sd card and flash from there.
Freaked me out too man

boot to bootloader/fastboot
fastboot flash recovery twrp2.3.3.1filename.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
select recovery
Wipe cache, dalvik cache, system, factory reset

if S-ON with hboot 1.14 or higher > extract boot.img from the rom zip then fastboot flash boot boot.img
2.4+ has issues. use 2.3.3.1 You would also get failed if you have zip file signature verification or force md5 on all zips checked when flashing so leave those unchecked.

After flashing twrp Factory reset in bootloader simply corrupts your SD card and does nothing else.
You should flash twrp 2.3.3.1 and then mount SD card, format it as it will be listed as an unusable drive.
Then factory reset in twrp.

Question about Cyanogenmod 11

Hello guys,
I've been looking around for CM11 for my HTC One X+.
Now I've found the original CM11 on their website for HOX+, but there is one little question I got about this.
http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=enrc2b
That's the link where I've found it by the way.
There is no boot.img download, how safe is it to just install the ROM? In my opinion it isn't.
So let me know what you guys think.

Oh okay, you will need to flash the boot.img alone then as flashing the ROM zip won't just work. So boot into bootloader, and flash the new boot.img you had extracted from the .zip
Once yo uhave flashed the .img boot into recovery mode and perform a gull wipe, including cache. Once done simply flash the zip and reboot.
First reboot takes a bit so be patient. I also recommend you getting a band backup in case.

If you're coming from a Sense ROM you can't just flash the zip without flashing the boot.img. It wouldn't even boot. And sometimes it boots but without mobile signal or WiFi signal.
So just place the zip on your sdcard, take the boot.img out of the zip on your computer.. Then boot into bootloader and connect it to the computer using USB then type
"fastboot flash boot boot.img"
Then "fastboot erase cache"
(you must have fastboot installed and configured on your computer)
Then boot into recovery and flash the zip file and gapps. Oh don't forget a wipe is mandatory if you're coming from sense ROM. But if you're coming from an AOSP ROM it's recommended but you can go without wiping. I flashed cyanogen over paranoid android without wiping data and had no issues at all. But I wiped the system partition.
And you cannot S-OFF an HTC One X+.. If it's S-ON then it stays that way. Only a few amount of people have S-OFF on their HOX+.
Oh and I don't think TWRP recovery is compatible with CM11 on HOX+.. So I recommend you flash philz recovery. Flash it by using the fastboot command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
(recovery.img should be replaced with the name of the recovery you downloaded)
It doesn't take a lot of time. I change ROMs almost every week.
Please press the thanks button if I helped!

RUU failing

Good evening,
I have run into some issues. I downloaded ViperRom, and after installing it I noticed that the soft keys weren't working. I rebooted and the phone into recovery to restore a backup I made a few minutes prior. Every time I try to restore the backup, it fails. I also can't reflash viper. It always fails installing. I then downloaded the RUU file for the One, and when I try to flash the RUU, it says this:
load_file: could not allocate 1610682630 byte
error: cannot load '0P6BIMG.ZIP
Any idea what's going on and why I can't restore my backup?

load_file is a recovery routine. To flash an RUU you need to be in RUU mode and use fastboot:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip 0P6BIMG.ZIP

Use option 2 as I have detailed in that thread. You copy the zip as is to your SD card (formatted to fat32) and reboot to bootloader..
Bootloader runs it for you...
