You must upgrade Nokia apps and reboot phone.
Good way to do this is use app SysApp Pusher: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/sysapp-pusher/19d44d9e-f18e-4df1-9bce-36335242ed2e

Nokia Lumia 800 / 900 vs. Windows Phone 8

Hey there,
I plan to buy a Nokia Windows Phone (Lumia 800 or 900) in early 2012. Is there any information what will happen when Microsoft releases Windows Phone 8? Will Nokia upgrade the "old" Lumia Phones?
There is no information yet about current devices' compatibility, but it does not make sense to leave them out. It should support Apollo.
Windows Phone "8" is just the update version. 8 = Apollo. Just like 7.5 is Mango and so forth. Its still Windows Phone and all Windows Phones should support every update.
I guess it will be available via Zune as Mango.
> Will Nokia upgrade the "old" Lumia Phones?
1)
Nokia has no role to play in regards to basic OS updates. This is very different from Android. Microsoft is the only company with the power to decide which devices get which updates. So far, every device has received every OS update. Carriers have the power to delay the distribution of OS updates to devices on their network, but even they can't delay an update indefinitely.
2)
As others have mentioned, we don't have an official statement from Microsoft on this topic. To me, this indicates that WP7 generation hardware will not be getting WP8. I suspect Microsoft would have said so by now if the opposite were true.

That's if Microsoft have even decided yet! I imagine they're keeping quiet - remember the HTC HD2?

Nokia Lumia 800 OEM Update

Hello all!
I have 2 Nokia Lumia 800 and this weekend one of them show me the info about a new update, Zune installed two update to Tango but not OEM update and the other pone I have forced to updated to Tango and doesn't appear OEM update too... It's normal? somebody more with the same?!?!
Thanks!
What do you mean by OEM update? I guess that if you're other phone already has Tango, it probably doesn't need to update to Tango again
OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer. The OP is asking about a Lumia-specific update (i.e. not a general OS update like Tango) from Nokia.

DENIM developers version loaded on my 1020 when i connected MS Band

Finally I got my Microsoft Band and I thought I was lucky....
Then I connected my Band to my Microsoft Health app, it asked me t update the OS for better performance, and I never say NO to upgrade to WP.
After few downloaded and install and reboots when the 1020 power up it said welcome to Lumina cyan and was so passed that it downgraded my Lumina black to cyan, so I went to settings, extra & info, to my surprise it says Lumina Denim.....
Yee ha....
Now my 1020 can connect to my Band and my car Bluetooth hands free at the same time.....

I am using 2 Bluetooth device at one go, I can set notification sound for each app , and my extra & info says LUMIA DENIM so who gives a ****
And this post is FYI not a competition... I know I have the DENIM developers version and it was initiated by Microsoft server because of their new hardware, its not a ROM which I loaded after getting on XDA site.
Lol... WTF...
Lumia Denim is a firmware, and Developer Preview versions do not apply to firmware, only the OS.
The display of Lumia Denim on Extra+Info is a bug known now for some time. Furthermore, your version of FW is that of Lumia Cyan.

Any way to get Developer Preview without .edu email?
Hello guys! I wonder if there is a way to install Developer Preview without the .edu email?
Also wanted to know if it is a fact that the Lumia 920 and 1020 will definitely won't get the Denim upgrade?
I really cant conceived that Nokia and Microsoft just stopped giving support to these to great phones.
Thanks in advance.

[Completed] Windows 10 Mobile on unsupported Windows Phone 8.1

I have read the March 2016 article here. Is the procedure still valid, or simplified, since the several releases / updates of Windows 10 Mobile?
I have a Nokia Lumia 920 that has WP8.1 Denim, all updates done. Finally managed to get the Upgrade Advisor to download, and it tells me that this phone isn't suitable - and gives a very abbreviated list of Microsoft Lumia phones that qualify.
My own Microsoft Lumia 640XL Dual SIM upgraded easily, despite 8Gb phone space.
Hi !
If Microsoft decided not to support certain phones then there`s nothing you can do about , they may have some reasons behind
You can start a discussion here https://forum.xda-developers.com/lumia-920/general but I`m affraid that this won`t change anything but at least you might get more oppinions
Cheers !

well, i would want the update 2, not the 10
The update you search for in reality is called "Windows 8.1 August Update" and can't no longer get downloaded from Microsoft: links are dead.
