So, recently I flashed my I9003 with the ICS http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658920
After that, I do not have a play store app and whenever I press the play store button in the menu, it does nothing.
Neither do I have an android market app.
Do you flashed gapps after the rom?

Dude, format the memory card, and also wipe data from setting menu,
then,
reinstall ICS
If that's the only option I'd rather flash the Frankenstein rom and just read you shouldn't factory reset on ICS :/

Buddy. The Problem Pulley06 faced and urs might be because of the play store version u r using. U might have restored the play store u used in GB to ICS. Delete the play store apk. Grab a fresh copy of play store and push it to system/app. Delete data of existing play store from Settings->Applications before removing it.:good:

Hello,
I recently flashed the CM7.2 from Marcellusbe http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101218 and also flashed the Gapps from his link http://goo-inside.me/gapps
But it seems like there is no Gmail App included? I cannot see it after flashing the GApps in CWM, but GMaps is there.
Does anyone know how to get the Gmail App in this CM7.2 on the Samsung Galaxy 3 GT-i5800?

If you install the Play Store 3.9.17 .apk after flashing gapps you won't need to reboot or wait until the market auto-updates. I've done this for a while and it saved a lot of time.
Did you try clearing cache and data? On the market itself. Does it give you a message when trying to download?

I just install it as a normal app
use the root explorer method to install play store .
download the apk
copy to sd card
using root explorer , mount system as r/w , copy the apk in system/app folder and change the permission to rw-r-r
for details you can see a.cid's thread

Hello all,
I've been having a lot of issues with the new google play store, specifically with the new in-app purchase window crashing all of my apps.
I was wondering if there was a way to downgrade it to the previous version, and keep it from updating to the new one?
I have a MoPho running 2.3.5 Gingerbread. (Super outdated, I know. I'm cheap.)
Downgrade by going into 'Settings - Manage apps - All - Playstore' and clicking 'Uninstall updates'.
Keeping it like that would be a problem. Maybe u can use a modded older version? That may not update automatically.

It think I'm about to downgrade from 4th version of the Play Store, because it needs sync on in order to work and I'm against it.

If you like the Android Market, try Old Market Installer app. Be sure to remove Google Play from /system/app (delete Vending.apk , Phonesky.apk and MarketUpdater.apk)
It worked for me

keeping the older play store might create some problem with the downloads. As when i did, my downloads were being interrupted and restarted again.
I'd want to keep com.android.vending-3.10.14.com and don't upgrade automatically to 4...
