Hey guys, so i'm having this huge problem and i would really like it if someone helped me out. So my t mobile lg g2x is having this problem where i can not watch any videos at all. Every time i record a video on the phone's video camera i try to play it back but it always says "Showing on second display" and i can't hear anything unless i plug in my headphones. Also when I'm on youtube, the video seems to be playing but the screen stays black and when i plug in my headphones i can hear the video playing. And it's not that the speakers don't work because i can hear the ringtones perfectly when i receive a notification so idk what's going on... Can someone help me PLEASE????
Sorry man but we need a little more information about your setup if anyone is going to be able to help you. Is your phone rooted? If so, is it stock or have you flashed a custom rom? If so, what ROM? What Kernel? Adjusted the CPU at all? Have you messed with anything lately, dpi values, scripts, mods, etc.

Not really big deals to me but whenever I take a picture with the front camera and I try to send it over mms, the person can't see it. They download it like normal but when viewing the msg, they don't see the picture. I'm pretty sure its because of their phone but I'm curious as to why it wont work.
The other thing is that one time when I was listening to music and I had some JVC Extra Bass headphones plugged in, someone called so I answered by sliding the bar on the screen as usual and when I answered, the music stopped and and the call connected and then right away, the music continued again with the call still connected and the caller could hear the music a little. That only happened once but I haven't tried to repeat it so I don't know how common it is.
If anyone could give me a little insight about it, please do. I'm really curious about these two things.

Hi all, yesterday I installed the Romulus rom and i begin to testing some things, when testing the camcorder I changed the media.stagefright.record parameter to false to record a video and it worked, but when I reproduced the video I hear a buzz in the audio as if the mic was too sensitive, i tried another videos that I record with another roms and I get the same result the buzz in the audio, then i tried some videos that I download from internet (game trailers, movies, etc..) and i dont hear the buzz in the audio, at last my last test was to tried the recorder video in the pc and again i hear the buzz. The thing is when i played another video in the pc that i record with other rom i hear the buzz too, so my question is Has anybody has notice this with any rom ???? Did other roms use some noise reduction to played the videos that the Romulus doesn't have???
Thank's for the help.
cheers
I just made a couple test videos while on Romulus, and I don't have a buzz.. Everything should be mostly stock on Romulus, so sound/video quality should be no worse than out of the box..
Also, what do you mean by reproduce the video? - just play it? Did you have anything plugged into your phone while you were recording (i.e. usb, headphones) that may cause interference?
One thing you can try is check the "Audio Scenes" settings in the camcorder...

When i'm saying reproduce the video i mean play the video (sorry for the confusion) , I didn't have anything plugged to my phone, but maybe your right i didn't check the audio scenes in the camcorder perhaps the solution is there, thank's for the tip i miss that .
By the way nice job with the romulus, i really like it and the mod lockscreen it's great.
Thank's again.
Hello xda peeps ,
I resently installed CM 11 on my Infuse 4G and my friend's S3. But it seems to me that there is a problem with both of our phones. When we play music and lock the phone and unlock it while playing music there is this bad loud sound like trrrtrrrrrr something. We even tried some other music players. Tried factory resetting even, nothing helped.
So do you guys know a fix for this? If you want more info, i can also record the sound or make a video?
Thank you for your support because you are the reason why we old Infuse people are even getting latest android.
Same here!

Having the same issue over here! Please help us with the fix Scott.
Temporary solution.
I got a temporary solution for this issue:
Go to Settings > Sound and then remove the tick from "Screen lock sound". This way, you fix the above sound error, but you will no longer have the screen lock sound (Which is not much important to me)
Hope I helped.
Thank you.
I guess I can notify Scott of this issue if he doesn't know already

Hi guys! So, i have a problem with my Galaxy S6, specifically audio. Sometimes, when playing music or watching video while audio is playing through the speaker, the sound will get "choppy". That's the only way I can describe it. It's like the volume is constantly going up and down, and there's a bit of crackling as well. It seems to get triggered by a screenshot, a screen rotation, when changing the video quality, or when the phone gets hot when playing a graphics-heavy game. I know a factory reset would most definitely fix this, but I'm trying to find a workaround, since a factory reset is a really heavy process, because i have a lot of stuff on my phone. If someone experienced this issue, or knows a fix, please help!
I was trying out the free version, and was interested in buying the pro version. But while watching a show today on my tablet, I noticed that the background/environmental sound was cutting out, going quiet, when there wasn't other sound at the same time. It was a scene on a plane, and the low hum of the plane in flight is constant throughout. But it was quickly fading out in the absence of dialogue or other sounds. And each time I went back and listened to that section again, it kept doing it. When I switched over to VLC to test it out there, I could hear the hum of the plane throughout the scene as intended.
I've tried switching to each audio output option (OpenSL, Java AudioTrack, AAudio), but the issue persists with each one. Does anyone know what might be causing it, or how to fix it? I like the user interface of MX Player more than VLC, but I'm definitely hesitant to make the purchase while this audio issue persists. Thanks in advance for any help that might be given. I'd definitely say I'm a relative noob when it comes to stuff like this.
After more testing, I actually do hear the same thing happening (even if not to the same extent) with VLC also - so this forum probably won't be able to help after all. The issue isn't with the video files, because it doesn't happen with them when played on a laptop, for instance. Not sure if it's something with my particular tablet (Samsung Galaxy S5e) or just android tablets in general. I'd still very much like to know the cause and if there's a way to address it, but I guess it's not a huge deal to just live with.
Well, I believe I finally figured it out. It seems to have just been an issue with the sound quality settings on my tablet. Under Dolby Atmos, "Auto" was selected, so I guess the tablet was altering the sound automatically. Once I changed it "Movie", I no longer noticed the issue. So this thread can probably be closed or deleted by a mod or something, if so desired.
