Hello everyone!
I have a Droid RAZR HD rooted with 4.1.2 MR-2 - Verizon Wireless.
I have used Uninstall Master to uninstall 31 bloatware apps.
I keep a backup of the uninstalled files just in case I want/need to restore them.
The problem that I am having is with Titanium Backup. It used to show the uninstalled apps in the backup/restore section with a line crossed through it to show that it was uninstalled but still being backed up.
Now I can't seem to get Titanium Backup to recognize the uninstalled apps which are in the Recycle Bin of Uninstall Master and also showed as backed up in Clean Master.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
In the filter of tb do you have uninstalled checked? Or backed up checked?

There is no real reason to *REMOVE* the bloatware.
It it make more sense to freeze with Titanium or disable with the stock options.
You reall don't gain that much space and what you gain in headaches, makes it not worth the hassle.
I just freeze all mine.
I can still take an OTA and not have issues.

Before you posted this I came to that conclusion. I restored everything from Uninstall Master and it crashed a few times but I got everything successfully restored. I then immediately froze the apps I didn't want with Titanium Backup. Thanks for your input.

can someone recommended me an app that can backup all of my apps, bookmark etc thing in my xoom? so that i will easily put them back after rooted or flashed my device. its quite annoying to reinstall them 1 by 1 zz

Titanium Backup. I've only been using it for a day, but everybody I've ever heard who has it says it's wonderfully amazing, and it seems to work pretty well from what I can tell. Root required. If you're looking for something without root, then you won't find much.

I'll second that... its the best i've seen/used
I bought titanium because of all the good reviews....but....out of the 30 or so apps I have installed, it seems to only backup a few...like 8 or so. I kept wondering if I was missing something simple, but when doing batch backup it always list a small portion of the apps I have installed.

Titanium Backup
I've been using it since it first came out.
No problem backing up and restoring 200+ apps on my Nexus One.
Plus it will do settings, sms messages, and bookmarks.
Update. Since I updated to 3.1 and rooted again, seems all 150 or so items are being backed up....yay!

I found this thread while trying to figure out if there is any way to backup BEFORE rooting.
I have a stock 3g Xoom with 3.1 I would like to root it, but my understanding is that it will be wiped, and then I will have to reinstall everything and reconfigure everything, as I now have it, and like it.
So, my question, and I think the question of the original poster, is whether there is a way to backup before rooting? Or is there a way to not loose everything I have now, when I root.
I have used Titanium Backup on my rooted Evo, and it is a great app. But, as was stated, it will only work once the device is rooted.
I am considering getting this phone on or near the release date. I use Titanium Backup Pro on a rooted Samsung Captivate right now to backup my installed apps and their data. If I get the One X, how will I be able to restore this data from my Captivate? Is the One X easily rooted yet? Or is there another program or technique that I could use to accomplish this same task?

I don't know how easy the phone is to root, but I don't think that you should have any problems restoring apps from your old phone. A few weeks ago I busted my Captivate. I pulled my titanium backups off the phone (luckily the USB/ADB still worked), and put them onto my new phone.
When I restored, I restored apps only (not apps+data, and DO NOT RESTORE SYSTEM DATA), and everything worked great. For a few apps where I really needed the data (note everything, tasker, angry birds), I selectively restored the data.
If you have a box or dropbox accont you can upload the backup to one of them and then download it your new phone. Just beware that it takes FOREVER to upload (at least mine did). Once you are rooted and have TiBu installed you could then use the backup for box or dropbox.
Just wondering If this app is a good idea to have or do we really need it?
From what I have been reading, it is... doesn't cwm and a nandroid backup accomplish the same thing.... Also is the current version compatible with the ics leaks and all current roms?... I will continue my research but thought I'd throw this out here... It is a question.... Thanks...
Cwm backs up 95% of your setup (it doesn't catch the modem), it's also an all or nothing backup and restore. You can't selectively pick apps or data to restore. That is where titanium comes into play. You can selectively backup your apps their data and your user data (texts, mms, contacts). This is really useful if you flash new Roman. You don't have to reinstall all the apps and data from scratch. You can do batch backup and restore. Titanium also allows you to recover apps from Cwm backups. It's really useful

Titanium works wonders with ICS. I use it after every flash. The previous post described it perfectly. Backup and restore what you want. Its a must have for a flashaholic. I highly reccomend it. You wont regret it. Oh and you can delete, freeze, and unfreeze apps that you dont use or bloatware.

Yes, I've used TB with the ICS leaked ROMs.
I'll third that. I was without home internet few over a month and instead of re-downloading apps and using my data I was able to just restore using TB whenever I was flashing roms. I just started using it and wonder what I did without it.
Titanium Backup is awesome if you switch out ROMS and want all your APPS back without individually re-downloading them.
You can Backup selectively or all apps at once. Restore them selectively or all apps at one.
You can even backup to Dropbox for those unique apps that you don't want to risk losing.
If you are rooted, Titanium Backup is an essential App in my opinion.

I just finished restoring my Samsung Galaxy SIII after jumping into the latest Verizon OTA without checking it out first. (Mistake!)
I like what I have now, but would like to see if a custom ROM might be a little less loaded with Samsung and Verizon bloat. I am not interested in tons of more tweaking options, just good wireless reception, and UI quickness. I do NOT want to repeat reinstalling all my apps from scratch, and setting them up again. I am rooted, unlocked, have TWRP, Odin, Titanium Backup Pro,Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper. Can someone help make the transition into a new ROM as pain free, and easy as possible. Once again, I'm not asking about how to flash the ROM as much as I am asking about getting up and running after flashing. Thanks for your time and help.

Dear tgrobi one has to restore only data not the app as the app might clash with the contact app of one's new rom so what is advisable is to only restore data also titanium will give a warning message that restoring the app will not work properly and eventually result in a FC
It happened with me.....:crying:
U must do a backup first using titanium backup.

You have to download app saver in the market. And backup your app. App saver make your app become .apk. Then just backup your .apk to your sd cars.
Hopefully it helpa you

^^^This.
I have titanium backups and mess around flashing numerous roms.
Apps and their settings can easily be restored by making backups with titanium and restoring apps and data.
You can also save your contact list with it but if you have a google account and sync enabled your phone will restore contacts from your google account.
Is the Titanium Backup still a good advice now, after 8 years since this thread was started? I'm going to migrate my Moto G "falcon" from 4.4 to 7.1. I do have a paid version of Titanium Backup. Thank you!
