For the custom ROM part, they will be out, when a geek or developer buys it.I'm searching for the original phone as that might help you too find ROMs as like all Micromax Androids, it too would be a rebranded version of any Chinese or other mobile.Example: My spice mi 310 is rebranded cellon c8093 and sells in Indonesia as csl mi 320, so I found a few custom ROMs made by some Indonesian friends.So, that might be the case with your device.
Btw, how is Aisha working? Heard it's just a rebranded iris? Try iris from Google play and leave a reply regarding this

i m finding this device in my city for about 4-5 days, its not available yet in my city....but today a shopkeeper told me that the device will be available in a week or so......!!

micromax got a good customer support and there products have great quality too,
also the a50 looks great!
hey apple got the best mobile OS, the iOS, its fast, smooth, powerful, one can easily jailbreak(root in android slang) the device & gain control, install tweaks!

and there is no official price announcement from karbonn about the a7,
there r rumors that the device will cost 5-6k,
i think it will be around 7-8k!!!!

Hey guys i have A Micromax A50.I bought it from flipkart.
Resolution is kinda ok..And i think there is a problem with the touchscreen,Like xperia mini,when the device overheats(eg:when charging),the touchscreen kinda gets messed up.You'll not be able to type things properly.

I doubt you should go for a Micromax A50.

You don't want this. Buy a brand name Android phone.
iPhone clone Android are really dumb, because think about it: Android has home, menu (not really on ICS anymore), back, search (again, not on ICS). But the iPhone clones have a single button. So how will you navigate with that single button when you AT LEAST need back and home?

The goophone i5 has a Single Hardware Button wich is mapped with the menukey function. But there are onscreen softbuttons too. So there will be no Problem in Navigation.
The specs of the i5 Sounds good for me, But i haven't test it for myself

Makes it even worse. Why have a single hardware button, along with onscreen keys, when they could just add the menu button into the navigation bar (like AOKP)? It would look awful.
@OP The phone will probably be stuck with its original firmware forever, and most market apps will list the phone as "incompatible." For its price, which I think is upper $200s or even $300+, it would be a better idea to buy a Galaxy Nexus once its price drops, or even a used S2/Gnex

At any rate, it is trying to copy the iPhone 5 so it will attain its unique resolution of 1136x640, thus making pretty much any app unsupported
Also, it's tegra 3. Good, but incredibly overrated. The Snapdragon S4 dual core is on par with tegra 3

Just don't get something like Goophone.

Doubts about goophone.

I've this phone (Goophone I5) and the goophone y5 (iphone 4s clone).
In this post i'll do a review of both.
Goophone Y5
Unboxing:
Brings earphones, iphone data cable and charger. Even the manual is the same as iphone 4s.
Look:
Looks exactly the same as iphone 4s. It has the same aluminium structure, back case in glass and retina display with 960x640 pixels as the original iphone.
It came with a micro sim slot as the iphone 4s. So, you must cut your regular sim card to fit on this phone as you do with the real one.
OS Look
It looks exactly the same as iphone 4s. It comes with an default launcher that is 99,99% the same as the iphone 4s.
All the S.O was edited to look as the iphone 4s. And to be honest i'm really impressed with their work. It's very well made.
Performance:
This is a very good phone. It is fast, it runs all the most played games with no lag at all. I was expecting it to be some kind of slow and laggy, but it isn't. It does it job very well.
But you must take a point in consideration. This is an android based software, so it will not be as fast as an iOS phone. iOS is made in objective C and android is java based. so.. iOS is faster than any android based cellphone.
Camera
It has an 5.0 MP Camera with flash. The quality is good when you take pictures at day light. Night pictures aren't that good...but as any phone you get more quality with day pictures than night.
The video recording is good. The format is 3GP but is ok. The camera recording is fast and its quite reliable.
Overview
For that people who love android (like me) i recommend you to buy this phone. It's so similar, than if you have a real iphone 4s you can replace some parts from the goophone y5 (Screen and Battery).

The phone is good, is well made, good touch screen and it's fast. And the most important thing: It is ANDROID based. It's not heavy so it don't look like a brick in your pocket.
If i recommend it? Of course. Instead of paying more than $600 USD for a iphone 5 i can have this one for more than half a price, with the same look and with a good performance.

For the ones who say that chinese phones don't worth it, it's because you don't know how things are. China is currently the biggest smartphones productor of the globe.
There are hundreds of different phones, brands and models. So before buying one, you must search a lot until you find the correct one.
Some phones are exactly the same apparently, but then there are many brands making it..so, inside chinese clones are clones of clones..
Before buying a Goophone I5 or another Goophone, try to look for genuine ones and not clones like thunderbird, etc.
On that website, they only sell genuine Goohphone's. So if you want to buy one i think is the right place to go.

yes I do its my first android tablet since my touchpad . It's very fast no lag issues so far . No crashes so far . For the price I paid about 170 I think . It is very well specked . I bought it for my niece who I'm giving it today . I have been customising it for her for about 2 weeks and I defo recommend . Do you have a any specific questions . I was worried about the 10 inch since I have only ever had iPad size 9 inch , but I actually thinks it's better . If you use for reading etc . Kitkat also has a multi window feature which is neat so you display up to 4 apps at once . There are loads of videos of the p9 on YouTube . So far so good and for what my niece needs more than enough space as it has sd card slot too .

I bought it digitalplayworld.co.uk they are official sellers for uk . I disnt do any heavey gaming on it . Subway surfer and Spider-Man's is the best I got to play with it . Gps was ok once I did firmware update .

Lenovo vibe x2 a good looking phone with awesome specs.One doesn't find such awesome android dual sim phones in 20K price range here in india!(however i heard dual sim phones are in great demand in China)I especially like its layered design and its a killer at performance with its 2 GB ram and octacore processor. but i heard in almost all reviews of the device that its camera quality is not great,, however from reviews they also confirmed that poor camera issue can be fixed via a software update from Lenovo. also now that Lenovo has acquired Motorola from Google i guess its going to improve upon its existing models.
But here at xda there is no forum for the device.
This is one of the reasons why I am refraining from buying this phone. no professional guides for rooting and no custom roms etc.

Oukitel mix 2 seems like a better choice over the Doogee Mix 2. What do you guys think?
Oukitel Mix 2 looks also nice (more like Mi Mix 2) but cameras seem to be worse and casing of doogee mix and doogee mix 2 is very strong and tough. I've got Doogee Mix, which is a very good phablet (but I don't like selfie cam downside). Doogee Mix 2 has perfect quality, perhaps a little bit heavy.
Yes, USA has got many developers and if the phone won't work correctly in USA, there's a chance they won't make anything... but there's also other countries developer's. Hope someone develop a clean ROM for it!

i have heard that some guys managed to root their phone using superSU and placing it on a sd card and from the stock rekovery using update from sd card but that might just be a lie i dont know and sorry for the bad english
For now, there is yet no alternative, clean and function-adding ROM for the doogee mix 2 here at xda... because of the christmas bustle i dont have yet mine delivered, but i hope i can get it soon

Yes, that's strange.. I didn't yet receive my Doogee Mix 2 phone (maybe next week), so I really can't help, tho, I'd love some developer would look at this thread... I'll post when I receive my phone, till then, i really would like to but i can't help.

Sorry to put this query here. Even i haven't got any place to right it down. I also have a same problem. Rear camera not working. Bought this phone specially for camera specifications. When will be the updates release to make the second rear camera work. Even 8 MP Nokia camera takes better picture than this 16 MP. And there are many bugs. Many apps crashes. And on YouTube I have seen many videos which shows many camera app showing 4k video recording option, but I think that was after update and I still haven't received it.i show that video 1 month back

Sorry to put this query here. Even i haven't got any place to right it down. I also have a same problem. Rear camera not working. Bought this phone specially for camera specifications. When will be the updates release to make the second rear camera work. Even 8 MP Nokia camera takes better picture than this 16 MP. And there are many bugs. Many apps crashes. And on YouTube I have seen many videos which shows many camera app showing 4k video recording option, but I think that was after update and I still haven't received it.i show that video 1 month back .
