[Q] Downgrade LG P500 to Telus 2.2

I tried to downgrade LG P500 from 2.2.1 to 2.2 by following these steps.
Install msxml.msi from the uncompressed directory
Conect your device (do not turn on disk storage) and run KDZ_FW_UPD.exe (Has administrator).
Select Type : 3GQCT
Select PhoneMode : DIAG
In KDZ file : Choose the ROM file you downloaded (V10G_00.kdz file)
Press Launch software update and wait (It will be 10 minutes or so). In your phone it will appear "Emergency mode". Wait until it reboots.
The phone never rebooted. When I manually try to reboot, it comes to Android screen and never gets past it. Has anyone faced this issue?

FIRST TRY TO PRESS THE POWER BUTTON FR FEW SECONDS WHEN ITS SHOWING THE ANDROID SCREEN IF IT LOAD STHEN ITS FINE ORELSE TRY THIS
IT does happen so in order to get it working make sure that u have enable usb debugginng and disable lg modem driver .
Restart ur pc
hold volume up and home button and connect to ur pc via usb
flash using kdz flasher choosing your rom file in diag/emergency/cs emergency(any 1)option
after it succeed flashing it will show battery getting charged but it never turns on on its own so manualy turn on the mobile.
Note : Do not disconnect usb from pc till the android loads up in ur mobile
if all doent work just gv it back to service they will get it repaired

How to Upgrade or Downgrade LG P940 Prada 3
1. Extract “LGFlashTool 1.2” and instal "Setup_LGFlashTool_1.2.45.921.exe"
2.Replace the file LGFlashTool.exe into C:\LG\LGFlashTool
3. Extract and Install “OMAPFlashInstaller-4.10(2).zip”
4.Exract “LGUnitedModemDriver_WHQL_ML_Ver_4.9.7_All_Win7_LG EAll.zip” and Install “LGUnitedMobileDriver_S497CA20_WHQL_ML_Ver_1.0 .exe ” and “LGUnitedMobileDriver_S497MA20_WHQL_ML_Ver_1.0 .exe ”
5. Turn Off phone, Remove your phone’s SIM and SD cards.
6.Press and hold voll up button in LG P940.
7. When u holding “voll up button” connect the USB cable.
8.When computer detects the new hardware (Omap4430) release “voll up button”.
9. Install the Driver.
10.After Driver installation, go to device manager and change the port “LGE CDMA USB SERIAL PORT” to “com41″.
11. Run LGFlashTool.
12.In DLL select file “LGP940_20120217.dll”
13. In S/W select only *.bin file from “LGP940AT-00-V***-EUR-XXX-***-**-***+0_AP”
14.Choice (Check) “USB” and click OK.
15. Click on Port COM settings(COM plug icon) and select "1"
16.Check as on photos. (host photo is deleted continue in step 17)
17. Click start (The Port 1 window should appear READY).
18.Disconnects USB cable and wait 5 seconds.
19. Press and hold voll up button in Lg P940 and connect USB cable.
20.The update process will begin automatically after that release the “vol up”.
21. When the progress bar reaches 100%, Power ON the LG P940. WAIT 5 MINUT is very slow first boot
If get error 80% (error= the program don't read phone because it restart) no problem go to step 22.
22. Reset the phone after first boot

yes because the sw flash tool is old 1.2 .. new version 1.3 fix but don't work for me get a reset after first startup

1. after kdz the phone turn on? reset the phone!!
2- 5. no battery into phone... (if don't start S/W without battery instert battery but get error program at finish the update ... no problem error is because phone turn on after 80% automatically but phone is been update) holding “voll up button” and connect cable

3- 8. I recommend reinstall all driver lg + omap
pc don't detect new hardware omap because you having flash KDZ already 'have the drivers on your PC..

4-17. in computer > go to device manager > looks com ports > your pc read LGE CDMA USB SERIAL PORT? set com41
No > start S/W upgrade phone but the pc don't read the phone test in other pc procedure and if don't work send phone in assistence ...
Yes > go to flash tool Click on Port COM settings (COM plug icon) and select port "1" press start and after you read start u holding “voll up button” connect the USB cable

No exact steps, just some points:
1) Use XP.
2) uninstall all old LG drivers.
3) install OMap & 2 LG drivers.
4) the phone come with battery (if no battery, my pc don't find my phone). Volume up + connect USB.
- Omap didn't appear (i don't know whether the reason is my phone installed OMAP beflore or not).
- Only LG 2-3 drivers to be installed.
5) execute LG flash tool, steps 12-17. Disconnects usb, battery off & in, volume up+connectUSB
6) The update process will begin automatically after that release the “vol up”.
7) phone reboot at 80% (showing "AP download SUccess"), counting continue. (whole procedure finish).
8) few mins later, target is resetting --> reset--..... (showing "Download Fail!)

i have 2 Prada 3.0, the one normal can be flashed vai this way. the another is suck at "S/W screen when i turn it on. but can't be flased via this way, just keep "download fail" after 1-2mins updateing.

Hi I don t have tested smart flash because crash on my sistem... but if it work on p920 I think that work for prada3..

[Info] all in one tool instructions for beginners

install LG PC suit latest version for ICS {1V is for gingerbread}
1.install latest LGUnitedMobileDriver {comes with latest version}
2.connect your phone in Mass Storage mode wait till all drivers install then disconect your phone
3.connect your phone again in in USB debugging mode enabled wait till all drivers install
4.disconnect your phone and power off your phone
4b restart computer to let all drivers install and register.
5.install OMAPFlashInstaller-4.10 { setup.exe} from OS-Hackings tool folders wait till the installation finishes. Restart computer.
6.remove your battery connect your phone without battery[no vol- or vol+]
7.open device manager and search for OMAP4430 (it connects and disconnects ) so quickly double click on it or right click on it and chose update driver select browse my computer for drive software and select usb_drv_windows folder in OS_HACKING tool then press Next wait till the driver installs.
8.doubleclick allinone. bat( with your phone connected WITHOUT BATTERY ) then press space bar on your keyboard, wait for 2 seconds then put your battery in your phone then LG silver logo will appear on you phones screen when you see LG silver logo press space bar on your key board then immediately press number 8 which selects...(Flash ICS BootLoaders) then double press Enter.
if you see..... ( waiting for device ) go to device manager and search for LG COSMO driver with a yellow exclamation mark. double click on it and select update driver then choose browse my computer for drivers. Navigate to OS_hackings usb drivers folder and select install drivers . after that the tool will flash your selection [8] and your phone will be flashed with lCS bootloader
9.after your flashed lCS bootloader then press number 6 [choose Flash TWRP Recovery ] then double press enter button on your keyboard wait till flashing finishes after finished close OS_HACKING TOOL and disconnect your phone
10.turn on your phone wait for one minute then turn off your phone and wait for one minute if your phone automatically turns on Then you have successfully flashed ICS bootloader.
11.download Su_Bbox_1.20.2_gazhead_signed.zip and put it in your phone external memory. after that turn off your phone , when your phone turned off press and hold Power boutton and volume -down and 3D button then you should get in recovery. In recovery choose INSTALL and navigate to Su_Bbox_1.20.2_gazhead_signed.zip that you have previously saved to your SD card and flash it after that turn off your phone then turn it on go to your apps and see if Superuser installed

I recently bricked my LG Optimus 3D and am trying to install the software again. I am using the steps:

-In the device manager, you will see TI OMAP 4430 appearing and disappearing
-Double click on it when it appears and click update driver
-The select Scan my computer for drivers

-Show the driver from the Flash Pack you just have downloaded
-Install the unsigned driver and you are good to go
5. Run start_fastboot from the omap4boot-for_optimus-v1.11 folder and choose option 2, enter
6. Remove the battery from the phone and start pressing the Vol+ button.
7. Now connect the phone to PC, Omap4boot will flash some files and will wait for 5 seconds for you to plug the battery back.

What are u trying to flash? Gb or ICS?
Did you tried to flash the baseband also?
U can flash both at the same time.
@80% ca you should have "target reset" then your phone go off.
Flashtool should give you an error but your phone should be ok.

I have the same problem. Following the steps described above the phone which is in "green S/W" download or "emergency download mode (initiated by the flashboot.bat) always turns off after some 2-3min during the flashing process with the LG Flash Tool. This 2-3 minutes are only sufficient to go up to 27-28% for me. then download fails. I am pretty sure my battery has power! How can one prevent the phone in "emergency download mode" to go off after 3 min????
I would not be able to tell you any details on which parts I want to flash. I am just following the procedure described above because my phone is totaly bricked and I need a complete restore with everything which needs restoring...

and Follow step
flash fastboot and Replace the original boot and download mode Until the fastboot is the basic boot for device.
Connect phone without battery,phone detect OMAP4430 {device manager}
Install driver omap "inside folder have drivers"(omap4boot-for_optimus-v1.22 modified by XcachorroX®\usb_drv_windows) by select update driver then select browse my computer for driver {install driver Manual}
After driver installation ends remove usb cable
Run start_fastboot.bat and select option 2
Pull out battery
Hold Vol+
Connect USB cable, the usbboot will start
Insert battery while the usbboot is waiting
and follow the instructions,after this you see logo LG Gray in phone He asks you entered fastboot Answer no and accept to flash and Replace the x-loader / u-boot source
If the LG COSMO appears in device manager install driver for her by select update driver then select browse my computer for driver {install driver Manual} and select Install driver from "inside folder have drivers"(omap4boot-for_optimus-v1.22 modified by XcachorroX®\usb_drv_windows) then try again step 2 flash fastboot

0. Make sure to disconnect the USB.
1. Download latest SP flash tool " search for it using Google"
2. Download b123 firmware from the link below , then extract it.

i have the same problem(its L125).I downloaded the firmware for l125 and flashed as per your instructions.But its still stuck in the loop.

No, don't format, it will make it worse.
Are you sure that you have selected all partitions to before pressing download, and then it showed a "Success" message ? ,, you may try to repeat the process, it should work because it will restore the phone to the factory codition!

It won't show any thing while flashing, if you did it correctly after flashing disconnect the USB cable then reconnect it ,,, better on charger and wait some time and turn on the phone

I tried this, as although twrp was never installed, i had the same issue described - on charge it would show red led, battery logo, then black screen, red led and so on til infinity, i have had it on charge for 3 days with this cycle endlessly repeating.
The flashing with sp tool went fine, at least it reported it as successfully flashing, and when i put it on charge i just got the red led, without the battery symbol, yay!
But then I pressed the power button (not for the 3 secs required to power the phone on) and now its back in the same cycle as before, and when i try to use sp tool now, i get timeout errors or another vague one that says to check the power on the device, at any rate its not letting me try to flashing process again.
As it had no charge when the process worked, i'm not sure whats going wrong now :/

Mine worked... I had the same problem...
I used sp flash tools.. As we load the scatter files from the firmware folders. I loaded the scatter files..
Firstly I choosed only the boot files and e recovery files not the system files from the scatter file...because the battery was not charged....as it flashed i plugged in charge for about 30 minutes... Then i unplug it.. and then flashed the remaining files from the scatter files like system...
Then again i plugged it in charge... NOW it is showing battery icon and it is charging and percentage is increasing... It was zero(0) at initial....
I found out the problem is due to lack of charge of battery...

Fix boot problem
Dont wary. It worked for me with B126 firmware with sp flash tool.
Use mauimeta too for fixing invalid imei error.

Prerequisite:
You need SP drivers for this phone, find it on 4pda forum.
0. Make sure to disconnect the USB.
1. Download latest SP flash tool " search for it using Google"
2. Download b123 firmware from the link below , then extract it.

3. Edit scatter file from b123 by deleting last 2 lanes,

4. Open SP flash tool,press on Download tab, then Load the scatter file from b123 firmware ,it will take sometime.
5. Press the download button "Green arrow "
6. Now on phone, Press and hold the " down volume " button and plug the USB cable the flashing will start automatically .,,,, Keeeeeeep holding the down volume button until the " yellow" bar start to progress
Note1 : select "download only " I think it's enough , I by mistake chosen format all + download but that broke the imei and baseband :/ . There's a workaround but ". NEVER CHOSE FORMAT ALL + UPGRADE".
Note2 : make sure to make the firmware path and the scatter file path very short and of ASCII characters only to avoid problems,. For example c:/fw/scatter.txt
