EBay battery for Evita - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Has any one tried the 2400+ mAh battery being sold on eBay for our phones? If you want to look it up, it's called Deep Blue High Capacity Replacement battery. Just wondering

Just looked at it, I'd like to know too. That's not a bad price. If anyone can testify for it I might order it.

I really thinking about ordering it. If no one does before I do, I will keep everyone posted :good:

Do you have a link by any chance? I'd love to slap a bigger battery in this thing. I remember reading something about someone switching to the HOX international battery and poly carbonate body. I don't think any solid information was ever posted though.
EDIT: Found the link. Says its identical to the size of the OEM battery. Expected delivery states it would get here on the 4th of sept. That's a ways away lol. I don't think I could wait that long without knowing if it would actually work. Subscribing to this thread in case anyone takes the plunge.

Keep in mind that generic batteries usually don't have the actual amount of power that they are rated at.
( often a generic that's a few hundred mah higher then stock will be about the same life, or less even)

As soon as you joined xda, you know that warranty was out the window That is, if they can PROVE that you tampered with it personally say if you sent them the phone with Cm 10.2, s-off, etc. They would probably laugh and deny it. If its bricked and won't do anything, the warranty is still good as they won't investigate each and every 1000+ phones that come in for repair and 9/10 will just send you a refurb or fix it.
Installing a different battery into the phone and then sending it in for "repair" in the event something goes wrong is definitely a no-no as that's a guaranteed forfeit of your warranty.

hahah it was well worth it though...i hated sticking stock. and i agree, AT&T is simply too busy to make me feel special by void me specifically

I'm anxious to see if this was ever done by the OP. I know the Chinese variants of batteries tend to exaggerate there numbers a bit but if its showed any improvement over the OEM battery, I feel like its worth it to give it a shot.

Chinese battery (by that i mean low quality battery because not all Chinese products are bad) is complete no in my opinion, had very experience with HD2. besides original HOX+ battery with installation is available at $14 at HTC service center in my country.

I remember the thread about that (think I mentioned it earlier) a few weeks/months back. What it the difference in capacity between the two of them? The XL (att) has a 1800 correct? How does that compare to the hox+? And is it a complete "bolt on" so to speak? I understand you have to have the hox+ housing to go along with it as well. Have you done this before?

Did you try the larger capacity battery?

HTC ONE X+ battery for Our ONE XL
our original is 1800mah, the one X plus is 2100, (it's actually 2040)
so I just installed using instruction from this link
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAr4WWbn9Hc
The AT&T screws is different. there's a top panel that covers the camera and upper compartment.
I'll let you guys know if I experience better experience.
I HAD to replace the battery, I can have 50 percent before i sleep and it will die over night. that's horrible (On FACTORY ROM)
So I'll let you know if it's better on stock, and i'll root it later.
YOU SHOULD TRY IT
I'm planning to put the One X plus housing on my phone too, I have the white one and it's too slippery, and it's all scratched up.

anyone buy this battery yet? i wanna know the development, is it worth it or not?

Extra spare
I always have a couple of batteries for any mobile or any devices which I use.
I wait for Zerolemon to release a battery for this model.

I got the 2430 mah deep blue high capacity battery on ebay. Been running it for 2 weeks now and no noticeable difference in battery life. Only thing I noticed is the battery gets hot when charging sometimes. Had high hopes for it but maybe I just had higher hopes and it actually is different. Any suggestions on how I should test it so I can compare it to stock? I bought two in case one was DOA cuz I know how a lot of the Chinese products off there are as far as quality goes.
And today I noticed its a lot worse in the cold than the stock battery. I work outside and it's -15 today and the phone keeps resetting. Stock battery didn't have a problem working in the cold.

OEM Battery

It seems like my battery is slowly losing its performance after charging and discharging it repeatedly. I live in Canada and I am not sure if HTC sells the Nexus One battery anymore. Google used to sell them on their website for $25. Does anyone know where I can get an OEM one?

[Q] OEM Battery?

Hey guys, was wondering if this listing is OEM?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-FL-53HN...424337?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item27bd2ad0d1
At that price probably a copy. I would doubt it is a genuine LG battery. The only way to be sure is to buy one from TMO, LG or a reputable chain store. Everyone else most likely has copies.
I personally bought this one (can't post the link) on ebay:
LG Genuine Battery FL-53HN for Optimus2X/G2X P990/p999
Item Number: 250937514724
It is physically identical to the original (exact same labels, phone numbers, ect) and has slightly better battery life. It might still be a knockoff but if it is, it is a very good one.
I bought it, when it arrives, I let you guys knows how well it functions.

See how the battery temps report. Most of these batteries have bogus temps sensors and give phony data. Having a non-working temp sensor in the battery could result in a disaster to your beloved phone.

One-click Amazon ordering is easy. So easy , in fact, that I accidentally ordered the extended battery for an Epic 4g, instead of my Epic 4g Touch. I don't mind if they're off a little, I'd just call them maybe 2000-2200mAh to be closer to what they *often* are and still sell them at the same price. The same people are going to buy them either way and in my experience they've accomplished about that average of capacity. (I'd love if they all achieved 2600mAh like my dad's golden Generic does)

thats more of a soso, because they see a big battery and see "3500", if it said 2000 they stop and stare to the fact that "hey maybe the 1800 would do just as good" as it is an OEM and slimmer.

[SOLD] Anyone want to buy 2 3600mAh Mugen Batteries?

I would post this in the marketplace section but XDA won't let me. Gotta be an XDA member for over a year.
I no longer need 2 of these batteries. One has the black back door, the other has the khaki back door.
I've been using my 2 Anker's lately because I don't need to travel as much for work. Therefore, I think someone could make better use of these batteries than I can.
I have the original receipts and boxes from Mugen. They're about 3 months old (bought them in June) and I've been alternating between both batteries by using an Anker wall charger. Needless to say, I haven't charged my Doubleshot via USB in a while. I get about 2 days of battery life from each Mugen with moderate use on CM9 A5.
PM me with reasonable offers if you're interested. I'm in the North NJ/NYC area if you're nearby and wanna meet up. I can also do PayPal and USPS Priority Mail. Thanks.

There are a couple ways to unlock. I followed the first guide (for a couple MT4GS'es) in the following link without troubles:

Make sure you are on stock or stock-based ROM (like MikTouch) when doing this, or the unlock code won't stick.

2nd Faulty Replacement, Now what?

Hey guys,
Time for a little advice. I have the HTC One XL on ATT, and began to notice sever screen rippling on the sides and middle of my device. So, naturally, I called warranty and had it replaced. That replacement came back with screen ripples worse than the original device. So I called again, and they overnighted a second replacement. Just came in this morning. 3 dead pixels, and a prominent ripple effect along the left side of the device towards the middle.
I've heard stories about getting it switched for another device, but is that even possible? What are your guy's thoughts?

Try getting 10 replacements before getting one halfway decent. I have to admit tho that AT&T is good with sending out replacements no questions asked.
P. S. How bout we let mods do their job instead of us trying to do it for them. Just sayin'.

They're definitely good at sending the replacements, no lies there. Only problem is that they're defective upon arrival.. Which isn't good at all.
I don't want them to keep sending replacements if they're all going to be broken, ya know?
P.S.- I thought that since this was more of an issue and advice kind of thing, that maybe general would be a good idea? Not exactly asking a direct question. I've been on XDA for a while, I know the rules.

If you happen to have a AT&T Device Support Center near you, I believe they will swap it out for you right there: http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB91429&cv=820#fbid=raRvhaTUUJr
Its not official policy to let you switch to a different phone. But I've heard of cases where they will do it, if you've gone through several bad refurbs, and b1tch loud enough at the right people. Having multiple lines, long time customer etc. helps also.
I think the One X is fundamentally a good phone, and HTC makes good hardware. As mentioned before, its probably a matter of the fact that you are getting refurbs and not new ones. Its a bit odd that you have had 3 phones with the exact same issue. Maybe the screens get damaged when they fix the phones and re-assemble them?

Device Support Center is 6 hours away unfortunately
That was my thought. When I got my One X new, it wasn't having the screen issues. Then they started appearing. So I called and got the replacement.
Granted, I know that all screens are going to flex if you press on them. That's just a given. But the One X (As told by HTC themselves) should not have as severe flex as I've been getting on all 3 devices. That isn't right.
I guess I'll call and see. We have 3 lines on the plan right now, and my family has been on ATT since it was called Cingular. So I'll see what happens. three phones just doesn't cut it when they all break
EDIT: Just got off the phone. They're sending a third replacement overnight. If this third one doesn't work, they're giving me a free make/model change. Hopefully this replacement is good though, I love the One X

Right. That's what I was saying. The poster above my first post is not a mod.

The reason why it happens is probably because you're getting refurbs which are basically returned devices that were only checked to see if they turned on and did not have major damage.
I would press for constant replacement until you get a perfect device.

Right? I called today and they said it was ridiculous that I've been getting defective replacements. The guy said he's gonna send me one more, and if it's broken that he'll give me a free make/model change.

Just got my third one today. All three were defective. So we'll see what happens tomorrow when AT&T calls me and I'll see which phone they're gonna let me get.

Who knows? I'm gonna ask for the One X+, and see if they'll let me go that route. But who knows honestly. But there's a good chance I'll be leaving the One X unfortunately :/

See I would demand that phone or have them send me replacements until I get a good one

That's my plan. Demand the One X+, or even the GSIII if I have to. But I will not take another refurbished phone. The guy says a free make/model change was in order if this 3rd device came faulty, which it did.

I had something similar happen to me but I have a replacement center near by so I wouldn't of left until I got a good phone

This is why I refuse to get anything refurbished. I'd rather spend extra money for something that wasn't previously screwed up..
Who wants to bet that these refurbs he's been getting were previously ICJ bricks... Anyone?

That was my thought. When I got my One X new, it wasn't having the screen issues. Then they started appearing. So I called and got the replacement.
Granted, I know that all screens are going to flex if you press on them. That's just a given. But the One X (As told by HTC themselves) should not have as severe flex as I've been getting on all 3 devices. That isn't right.

They told me they would do the same and at the time the only phone that was close was the sgs3 but they said I couldn't have that one. They gave me a choice of like 3 old phones. I was pretty pissed.

After 10 replacements not one was in "good" condition until the one I have now. But now that I think about it the more I can see the reason this one also was returned by someone and just sent back out by AT&T without checking or fixing it. It's extremely laggy at times for no apparent reason even after a factory reset and rom change and the vibration rattles pretty loudly. I never can notice a difference with the custom kernels set to 2.1ghz. Seems the same as 1.5. Those seem to be the major things. I wasn't looking for those problems tho.
The problems the other phones had were mostly screen and build problems. Overheating also.
Anyways, that's why I left AT&T and now use Straight Talk and buy my phones straight up and unlocked.

Who knows what this guy will say. The One X is a high quality phone. I guess it all depends on the rep you get because I've heard reports of people getting credit on their account, and a guy got the GS3. But I won't settle for anything less than the One X
