[Q] 4.1.2 URL - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone have the 4.1.2 Verizon update URL? Or the update itself in ZIP format?
I have an everest but rarely use the 3G - would this build run on an everest in Wifi mode?
Even better I'd love a CM 10 or MyXoom build as close to the Verizon build as possible - hopefully get back some battery life which is rubbish on most 4.2.x Roms
edit : found it in the beta thread:

No that is the WiFi update. The update you're looking for is http://android.clients.google.com/p...signed-trygon-JZO54M-from-IMM76L.bfd5cc10.zip.

[Q] system update 4.0.4 with teamos 1.0 rom

Hello, i installed the teamos rom stable a week ago, and i'm very surprised to receive what it seems like an official update to 4.0.4. So i have a few questions :
1. Is it safe to accept this update ? I mean without loosing the teamos features ?
2. Could the teamos propose its updates the same way ?
Thank you
1. No. You will end up in a boot loop.
2. They don't have that capability to my knowledge.

Nope. I would not attempt it.
How do we get rid of the update notification if we are running TeamEOS or Other custom ROM?
Yea I am having the same issue with cyanogen. 9 rom. Anyway to bypass it
Sent from my HTC sensation 4g using Tapatalk
you need to get the paid version of Titanium Backup and freeze the android updater process to prevent the update notifications.
Edit.. well this worked on my phone to get rid of the notifications.. but i cant find the program that does it on CM9.. so i dont know

Is this for the wifi only model? Has ICS officially come out for the 4G models?
I'm getting the same notification but I cannot find the android update process as mentioned. Any ideas?

4.0.4 can be found in n75 here http://goo-inside.me/devs/teameos/roms/nightlies/stingray/ the nightly's are more stable than 1.0 rom and 4.0.4 runs great on EOS n75.

I agree the solution would be to upgrade to a 4.0.4 teamos version. Maybe they could tag this as a 1.5 stable So « simple users» like me wouldn't be afraid.
The problem still exists since a new 4.0.5 OTA would cause the same problem......

system update 4.0.4 with teamos 1.0 rom
I would never try to perform an official OTA update after a custom from has been installed. That is just asking for trouble. You also mentioned that you were running team eos's rom. I can tell you first hand experience, I've been a very loyal team EOS from user for my Xoom for several months and typically load every nightly they put out for my model. The reason I point this out, is because most times the developer roms xda are actually much further along than the official updates. The biggest example is the fact that ICS is not available officially from Motorola/Verizon as of yet. Plus you get so many features and functions you will likely not see in the official builds.
Others - feel free to help me explain, agree, disagree, etc....
Good luck,
®obert
I've tried many, and I mean many roms, mods, and themes. Hands down - Team EOS is the single most exciting, knowledgeable, helpful and down right customer oriented in the Android Development groups.

Will my phone OTA update to Jelly Bean if it is running CM10?

I am running CM10 because I wanted a taste of jelly bean, but now that jb is being rolled out for the Nexus s 4g I am wondering if it will still do the automatic update from sprint? I would rather use Sprints version of jb for the nexus s 4g. Will the OTA update still be sent to my phone if it is not running the stock rom?
No.

Where can I find this, though? I didn't make a copy of it when I started flashing new roms.
Rookie mistake.

But isn't it possible that Sprint made a better running ROM for this phone that CM did? Can I expect the CM Jelly Bean ROMs to get better for the Nexus S 4g because Sprint released their version?
I know my noobness is showing but seriously I am trying

Your choice: stock rom (sprint ota) vs custom rom (cm10). Custom rom gives you more tweaks, enhancements, better battery life, etc...
A little bit of googling for sprint nexus s 4g ics factory images will take you right to the google page with the factory images. After flashing the 4.0.4 image, the jb ota should arrive. Of course read all instructions before flashing, and you will lose all apps/data

But for each nihgtly 128 129 130 when i go to thé APN configuration for activate the 3G
Error service com.Android.phone stoped
If sombody have a issue for this ?
Big thank's for advance
Yes I have the same problem with you... and the thread about the Team EOS 4 for MZ601 isn't created yet it means they (teameos) still working on it. Do you have a problem that you can't turn on your bluetooth? The teameos 4 for MZ601 is still have major problems. Maybe you can use the eos configuration to enable eos tool and enable or disable the 3G from there?

[Q] Can I skip an update of a ROM?

Hello. Will ask the question straight:
Is it possible to skip an update of a custom rom and install the latest one?
Currently using the [ROM][DEV] CyanogenMod 10.1 JB 4.2.2 - Androidarmv6 [RC2 - 17/04/2013 Beta 7 and there are two updates (RC 1 & RC 2)
My point is if it's possible to update the ROM straight to RC 2 while skipping RC 1. Does it harm the smartphone and i assume it it safe to do it via the CWM.

Yes, you are safe to skip. The latest release will be having all updates from the previous release.
Thought so. Thanks mate!
You're perfectly safe. You're wiping the system partition anyway when you're installing a new ROM so no data would remain from the previous ROM.
