[Q] How do I go from CM7.0 to SupeAosp 8.2-AW for Nexus S

hi,
I bought rooted Nexus S (i9020t) and turn it to work on CM7.0 (KB3). Now I am tired of waiting for CM7.1 to benefit from 2.3.4 goodies. How do I switch to SupeAosp 8.2-AW + KD1 in the most secure way?
Please note that I never rooted my device or did anything sophisticated besides downloading roms and installing them through RomManager.
Thanks!
You do it the same way you flashed cm7. Using rom manager/clockwork recovery.

[Q] Anyone interested in doing a Rom with 20c from rogers

As the title say's would anyone be interested in doing up a 20c version rom for us rogers folks so we can have 4g on our phones. All these other roms are awesome but there 3g only and I would love to have a 4g rom with all the crap out and all the dressings that all the other wonderful roms get.
Actually, you can now flash any custom GB on your 20C,you will have 4G,but you won't see it in your status bar
Are you referring to flashing over the 20c version

I would be interested in this too!
I also have a Rogers 4G P925G and would welcome a new image but went through hell with the baseband during playing with Gingerbread roms and was forced back to Froyo to get NextG working here in Australia.
Am willing to be test bunny
Hey i flashed that thiazo3d rom over v20c then the .4 kernel and man this rom flys so smoth and fast i underclocked it to 800mhz and still supper fast spent the hole day in a horrible service area and my battery is at 60 persent still i recommend this rom to any thrill owner
ps you have to add your apn manually
Yes but do you show 4g or 3g when you did that

P5110 Stock 4.0.4

Hiya
I had stock 4.0.4 on my UK P5110 Tab 2 wifi, until the damn thing bricked when Device Spoofer went awry and messed up on reboot. The only stock rom that I could find to flash back on was the 4.0.3 European ROM, which is fine but now it wont update telling me there is no update available from the default 4.0.3 that is on there now.
Asides from the fact that Device Spoofer has caused me a bit of a headache and I likely wont be using it again without backup (doh!) I miss a couple of the tweaks that 4.0.4 brought to the table.
Can anyone help? I cant seem to find mention of a stock 4.0.4 for the P5110 anywhere
Cheers
Nope. You could flash CM9, though.
Went for the cm10 preview instead, seems to be pretty good so far tbf
Cheers though

Has this ROM popped up anywhere yet?
I don't know what the rom version it is other than on my UK P5110 and it was definitely4.0.4
Reverted back to the European stock rom from samfirmware but that is 4.0.3 P5110XXALD6 with no upgrade available to 4.0.4 according the software update in settings.

Will my phone OTA update to Jelly Bean if it is running CM10?

I am running CM10 because I wanted a taste of jelly bean, but now that jb is being rolled out for the Nexus s 4g I am wondering if it will still do the automatic update from sprint? I would rather use Sprints version of jb for the nexus s 4g. Will the OTA update still be sent to my phone if it is not running the stock rom?
No.

you can use the 7.2 one click tool to return to stock, but make sure to back up all of your aps and data first

Where can I find this, though? I didn't make a copy of it when I started flashing new roms.
Rookie mistake.

cm10 is based on jelly bean. Your question is non-sense...

But isn't it possible that Sprint made a better running ROM for this phone that CM did? Can I expect the CM Jelly Bean ROMs to get better for the Nexus S 4g because Sprint released their version?
I know my noobness is showing but seriously I am trying

Your choice: stock rom (sprint ota) vs custom rom (cm10). Custom rom gives you more tweaks, enhancements, better battery life, etc...
A little bit of googling for sprint nexus s 4g ics factory images will take you right to the google page with the factory images. After flashing the 4.0.4 image, the jb ota should arrive. Of course read all instructions before flashing, and you will lose all apps/data

what kernel are you using? I'm running marmite kernel 4.4 currently and I'm pretty happy with its performance and batt life.

Looking for a good rom for my phone

I have a galaxy note 2 i317. I am using the Jedi x rom it is 4.1.2. I really like the rom and would under normal circumstances just leave that rom on this phone forever, but I just got a galaxy gear fit. It will not work with my current rom. I require 4.2.2. I can find roms, but many are less than 200 mb. I know that is not a full os. I downloaded ezkat and it would not install, so I went back to my jedi x backup. The ezkat was 1.23 gb and jedi x is almost 1gb. Any ideas on a rom that is kitkat 4.4 ( I only need 4.2.2 but if I am gonna update, I may as well get the latest update I can get) I want cyanogen also. I know someone out there has a perfect solution for me, please help me with fixing this. Thank you for your time in this matter
