Looking for T-Mobile rom ported for Verizon S3 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I am switching to T-Mobile pre paid and am looking for a stock t-mobile rom that is ported for our phones. I am pretty sure I have seen one here but now that I need it I cant find it.
I want all the wireless calling and other bells and whistles to work. I am working on porting one myself but its my first time so I still have some bugs to work out.
Thanks

Yeah I found that and even gave it a go for a few days, but basically its just directions to get t-mobile service on any verizon rom.
I had a real t-mobile rom working for a short time but started running into force closes and such. Having the real thing is nice because it gives account information plus wireless calling.

Total Noob Question..

I'm a long time user of HTC phones but recently switched carriers (today) to Ntelos. They are a local job here in Central VA but have a decent network.
I picked up the Galaxy Showcase which seems to be the same as the mesmerize as far as forums would show.
My questions are these:
Are there really no differences from the US Cellular sch-i500 and another i500. My phone is not branded in any way.
Being that I used to use unrEVOked to root what is the best method to root this puppy. I really am missing some MIUI on my phone.
SuperOneClick for root... your phone doesn't have much development though.
Sent from my MIUI SCH-i500
Yes there are differences. Don't flash anything not built for your phone unless you know how to fix it if it breaks.

Yeah I have noticed...I'm not too worried about the custom roms as I had miui before I switched to this phone and the two are similar enough. Really I'm just trying to delete some crap I don't want and tether.
Also I haven't figured out how to fix the dang gps lock problem and I thought root might give me more options

[Q] No ICS love for Rogers users?

I jumped for joy earlier today when i hopped right onto XDA to do my usual look around the forums for the skyrocket. And right infront of me were the words "ICS for SKYROCKET"
I quickly Downloaded the file and went on my way to wait for my phone to be brought back to me...only to figure out that Rogers users were left out in all this fun and joy
To my understanding, hardware is all the same...
What could possibly be done?
Is it best we wait for a work around or have someone create a custom ROM.
(Sorry guys, im new to this whole kernel/rom/rooting thing )
I think we just gotta stick together and wait it out for silver to get his ICS CWM flashable zip working.
Once that happens... do I need to say it?
hahaha i just read the thread that you referred to...reading that just got my heart pumping. Im so anxious!!
If it works, its another reason to sell my customers on the S2

LOL IKR, I was looking forward to using odin3 last night and my dreams got shattered
Can't wait for Silver to get this live for us. I will proally donate too.
weeeeeee
it looks like he has to do a little more work on it but I'm sure it will be ready tomorrow. I was waiting for him to finish it but I got impatient so I just used the Odin one. Hopefully everyone on Rogers gets ics soon I know how I would be if I was in that position

LOL its like right there within our reach! We want it so bad.
How are you liking it so far?
I love it so far. I had to do a factory data reset but after that it works flawlessly. The only thing that doesn't want to work is google wallet
still nothing for rogers users
Guys, be patient.
Silver's working as much as he can. It's only been a day.
and why can't we use odin to install this rom?

Because yours has an R at the end of i727
Firmware check wont pass
Check the development forum. There's one rooted ROM for ICS posted that may be worth trying and another one upcoming.
It will come buddy just wait.

will this work? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1566906
Is it just like the leak and can be installed through rom manager over GB?
None work. They all have the most ridiculous lag and everything FCs. Takes like 5 mins to click something. I've flashed em all. The only one that boots up nice is the one in the t989 forum but nothing works (no data etc) so we dont have it
how about this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1567817
Reading through the comments and it seems bearable.
Can you test if LTE works?

It's more than bearable. Very smooth, the bugs that it has seem to be in line with the bugs in the AT&T Odin install. Can't confirm LTE as I don't have it in my area yet.

[Bounty] Google Wallet NFC working on XL $60 w/Custom Rom|$130 w/out Custom Rom

So it appears wallet is working on the international hox, but not the ATT version. Want to see if we can get a bounty going for our devs.
I'll start offering my intro $10 that you get when you start Google Wallet, plus $10.
If enough interest is generated I will start a collection.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
$70 with Custom Rom required
$110 as a Mod to a rooted stock ROM
derekedw - $20
spec2323 - $50 (without need for custom ROM)
karan1203 - $10 (without need for custom ROM)
KitF - $20
KitF - $30 (without need for custom ROM)
redacted.
Please don't post anything you haven't tested or even read up on. It's been posted multiple times that the APK you linked doesn't work.
New version being posted today, guess it wasn't out yet.
I think he just means updating it to the latest Market version, not an updated version of the hack.
I believe there are security keys missing from the ATT version that stop Google Wallet from running so it will likely require a rom hack to get it working.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
I can confirm the new version doesn't work with the One X.
So need some more people interested in getting this working. Let's go people, let's get that bounty raised!

Don't think it's possible with out custom rom. Think the problem is missing security files on the stock. Probably need root at least.

Put me down for $20. Ive been waiting to get wallet ever since i switched to my S2 last year.
Update: First of all I am still working on it. I am trying to make it work on 1.85 stock rooted base. I would love to get it going on CM 9 but NFC is not yet working on it. I have it installed opened, created my account, got $10 free, and looks like it should work but I have tried a few times now and it is not recognized at any paypass I have tried. I am almost positive it is a lib issue somewhere and I will put in a lot more work this weekend and hopefully get it fully running then.

thanks for the update, if you need any help testing let me know, my second job has this and ive seen one guy pay with his phone so i can confirm if it works or not
not that you can't test yourself but i have kind of carte blanche of swiping (in case you have to do the embarassing "this may work" thing)
p.s. im on cleanrom 1.85 rooted so im close to stock rooted (Cleanrom 2.1)

I am Jealous of all of development for the international sgs3

I have already had the AT&T sgs3 but returned it because the user base is no were need Verizon's user base so I figured that we would ultimately have more roms kernels and themes. I am hoping that will still be the case. Either way I do not regret my decision because AT&T Lte is so tiny in comparison to Verizon lte when it comes to coverage.
Anyways back to the point of my thread.. the development for the international version of both the sgs2 and the sgs3 has always blown me away with the vast number of different roms, themes, and kernels! If anyone has every taken a peak over in the i9300 Dev forums they will know what I am talking about. Whenever I browse over there I find myself in a state of pure jealousy. The best of the best can be found there from roms like OMEGA to kernels like syliah kernel. I wish there was a way to easily port the international roms etc like entropy did for the AT&T sgs2 when he created the hellraiser packages which essentially swapped out the incompatible parts of a rom and replaced them with the compatible libs, modems etc that were meant for the AT&T sgs2. It would be nice if we could find with way to make it happen with our Verizon sgs3, not sure if that is possible though. Cross my fingers for this and definitely for an unlocked bootloader

I agree. Even the sprint S3 has more roms than the Verizon S3. I can not find any popular ROMS that run on the Verizon S3.

I was not complaining at all. I am very grateful but regardless i was comparing all us variants to internal and not us to us..
We'd have more development if Verizon cared about their customers more than their money.
I'm confident we'll have more development. Coming from an LG Revolution I'm very happy with the amount we have now even
Sent from my SCH-I535
Unfortunately we will never see nearly as much development as we would if we had an unlocked bootloader.
I am fairly confident that the developers around here will conquer this and we will have an unlocked boot locker before too long.

Why do you say that? The people in the r&d threads are working as hard as they can to find paths that could work to get around the bootloader.

Yea its not looking like the bootloader will be unlocked...thankfully with kexec its not that big of deal.

It doesn't even matter that the BL is locked we already have a"Work around" and can do anything an unlocked phone can do we just have a few extra steps.
They have more development because it is... Verizon in the US alone vs the rest of the world..
I'm not surprised that they have more development at all
I myself have just started dev on this phone with nothing released as of yet. It will come soon. I have friends in the same boat. Just be patient. Roms will start coming in heards now that there is a workaround.

Also agree with this. With kexec it seems we have some decent flexibility already, with just a couple resets in startup which I consider a very small price to pay

I'm not sure why it is such a "big deal" exactly. What we have basically gives us the abilities of an unlocked bootloader (not 100% but exactly what we need development-wise) and all we have to deal with is a few short reboots on bootup. I'd say this is just fine even if we never get a true unlock.

Having a locked bootloader is still very much a big deal. It slows development if anything and reduces the possibility of seeing ROMs other than stock TouchWiz because developers who don't like TW have to go through the trouble of learning how to correctly make a boot.img that is compatible with kexec or else face the consequences. I just learned this the hard way by hard bricking my phone while trying to build a working boot.img for Sense 4.0.
Trust me, we want an unlocked bootloader...
I think we have a smaller user base because of the costs associated with Verizon. Let's face it, we all know Verizon is hell of expensive. We pay the highest price for one reason, the 4G is blazing fast and we always have a good signal.
Good bye HTC Rezound, hello Galaxy S3!

Verizon Sent me GS3 by Accident

Hey guys...I'm actually a Galaxy Nexus owner and my phone broke and somehow Verizon sent me a PB Galaxy S3 somehow for my replacement device....they didn't tell me they were sending it and my phone still shows on my account as the Galaxy Nexus. Does anyone know if I can keep this phone or will I get some kind of call from VZ about this? If I can keep it, what's the best and cheapest way to get a battery and back cover for it? Thanks!
they are for The most part sending sgs3 as a replacement. I got mine this way. I called and had them send me a battery and cover as well. no charge!
When I complained about signal issues, I managed to convince them send me a GS3. This was about 4-5mos ago. Was sent a battery and cover also.
Like the previous posted said, they probably are sending out GS3s as replacements for GN. Just ask nicely for the batter and cover.
Gave VZ a call and got it taken care of. Thanks guys! That also means my new home is the GS3 forum. !
I think it has something to do with Verizon discontinued use of the galaxy nexus.
You got lucky haha

This is interesting. I just got off the phone with Verizon. I have a GNex that's on the fritz and they're sending me a replacement. I was worried they'll substitute it with something I didn't want, but I'd be happy to have an S3.
If I get another GNex, maybe I could sell the refurb and get an S3. Any places to find good deals on them right now?
