[Q] Stable ROM? Baseband problems? - LG Optimus 3D

First of all, hello! Since it's my first post here, and I am new to Android, I am sorry if I fail to provide all the needed information. Let's cut to the chase then!
I have an LG Optimus 3D (p920) and I am struggling to find a good ROM.
The one I have now works, but it is very slow (I only have about 60 mb RAM left, I have to keep killing processes, but they come right back).
The details are:
Model Number:
LG-P920
Android version:
2.3.5
Baseband version:
L6260_MODEM_SIC_01.1042.00
Kernel version:
2.6.35.7+
Build Number:
GRJ90
Software Version:
LGP920-V21e-Apr-19-2012
I have been lurking around the forums in search for other ROMs, and I tried some of them, but most got me to the same problem.
I tried CyanogenMod and a couple of other ROMs and this is what happens:
Using CyanogenMod I get a connection to the provider but it goes out randomly and, although it still shows me I got a signal, I am unable to make or receive calls.
With other ROMs, the problem persists, I am unable to connect to my mobile network, this time being represented just by the crossed signal bars.
I have just tried ThiaiZO3DV2.7,1GB, which lead to no connection.
Also, I tried JellyBam, but I am unable to complete even the first configuration (After completing it, the phone asks for a reboot - if I manage to get that far) and then keeps restarting every time it boots.
I've read around that this might be a baseband problem, I downloaded GetRil on all the softwares I tried. I allow it to have superuser privileges, I download and install the recommended baseband, reboot, still no network connection.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your time!
Regards, BrreaKer.
Later Edit: The ROM I am using now is a custom one, but I can't seem to remember where I got it. When I first bought the phone, it had Android 3.1.3
Also, I haven't got the slightest idea what's with Kernels ( I know what a kernel is, as a base idea, but nothing in detail )
I have a lot of things to learn about Android, and I figured this would be the best place to seek guidance.

Quick Radio/Custom Rom Question.

Hey all,
I just recently installed the JF 1.51 rom so I could take advantage of having root access..
From what i've experienced it's workin' great.
The only problem I seem to have is my bluetooth connections, like my headset.. I've tried two, (both worked perfectly before I installed the rom); they seem to pair and connect without flaw, but I can't hear anything through it and the person on the other line can't hear me. I'm also experiencing issues with my speaker phone performance. (I might just be imagining the speaker phone issues, but still I would like to get this sorted out). My 3g signal seems to have been decreased as of late, and my GPS takes a little longer to locate my position. During the rom installation process, I installed an updated radio from the stock RC27 (or 29 I forget exactly)
So currently here are my specs:
Firmware version: 1.5
Base band (Last 4 entries): 1.22.14.11
Kernal version: 2.6.27-00392-g8312baf [email protected] #2
Build Number: CRB43
I tried downloading the radio image from HTC (See attached file: Screen shot 2009-09-07 at 3.46.30 PM.jpg )
And the steps I took in doing that were compressing the file, naming it "update.zip", and trying to install it
So pretty much I'm just asking what you guys think I need to do.
Do I have the correct radio version already, and my problems are just with Jf's Rom?
Is there a certain way I'm supposed to boot the HTC radio image?
Is there another radio version I'm supposed to download?
Should I just install the official 1.5 because I'm a total noob?
Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it. I've searched the forums, and could not find specific instructions on how to solve my problem.

Complete Noob/Wifi & Blutooth errors

Just purchased a HTC Inspire off ebay for my wife and the wifi pops up with "error" everytime I try to connect. The bluetooth doesn't work either. I have no idea where to start and expect to get flamed for posting a question. I have read other posts similar but could find no answers. I don't know if this phone was previously rooted and had an error or how to go about re flashing it to stock or if it's even necesarry. Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Andoid version 2.2.1

Go to the HTC website and download the gingerbread Rom. Also download and install HTC sync.
After you run the ruu you will be at stock gingerbread. If things don't work then, your phone could be damaged.
Thank you for the advice, it took me a while to get the inspire to connect to my computer through passthrough but finally got it, and installed it to stock rom, but alas...that didn't fix the problem. The screen is cracked on the bottom left corner so I guess when I get my replacement screen in the next day or two I'll open it up and check the ribbons to see if something was damaged when it was dropped. So far though, no luck...

[Q] Installing ICS Rom Properly

Hey Everyone,
Recently had a go at flashing different roms on my Nexus S and all went well apart from not being able to use 3G which was really annoying as I use it all the time when I am out. I flashed numerous roms and could not get any access to 3G just Edge network.
Then did my final flash and totally lost all access to my network... I solved this by flashing to Android 2.3.4 then doing an OTA update to Android 2.3.6 and all was ok.
Now that I have a working phone again I would like to know if I can possible upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich without any problems such as losing my 3G access?
Do I have to back up any folders like the 'efs' folder then copy it back when I have flashed ICS? Or is there more folders that need backing up and copying back after flashing ICS that contain important files to run my Nexus S properly?
I would appreciate any help you guys can give me.
Current working phone details are as follows:
Network: O2-UK
Model: Nexus S
Android Version: 2.3.6
Baseband Version: I9020XXKF1
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7-gf5f63ef [email protected] #1
Build Number: GRK39F
Preferred Network Type: GSM/CDMA auto (PRL)
If you need any more information to help me just let me know.
Looking forward to your help.
Thanks, Lee
It is weird that you cant use 3G. That's not supposed to happen. You should try to update your radio, that might help.
you don't need to backup or restore any special folder. just make a backup of the efs folder to make sure you dont lose your personal information.
Im running CM 9 v.3.4 and i dont have any big issue. Just some random reboots once in a while.
Thanks for your reply quiquegabriel.
Yeah I don't know what went on with my 3G, I used to get it everywhere and I never would see Edge on my phone. Then were I would get 3G like at work for example... it would be Edge after a flash. I found no solution for this unfortunately.
Because I had so much trouble with the flashes before its made me reluctant to do it again. Which is rubbish as the most of the roms I flashed were amazing like ICS.
I have heard that there is going to be an ICS update for the Nexus S this month but how true this is anyones guess.
Thanks again for your reply.
Cheers, Lee
Did you check your APN settings once you flashed ICS? Usually these settings are automagically populated with ICS but who knows if any of these did not match. You can compare your settings with what you have in GB and configure once you have ICS.

[Q] Won't connect to Operator Network

I just flashed for the first time and everything seemed fine,
till (after flashing the Gapps) I noticed my phone won't connect to a mobile network.
WiFi is working, only Mobile Network is defunct.
I tried two different SIMs, both worked on other devices but not on this.
I may be wrong, but I don't think a locked SIM is my problem, since I don't see any SIM-with-an-exclamation icon icon as described in other posts.
Detailed Description:
Lock-screen shows the text "(No Service)".
When trying to search for a network in Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Operators, it says "Error while searching for networks".
Additional Info:
Device: LG P-500.
Flashing toolchain: Gingerbreak; ROM Manager + CWM.
Flashed: Stable CM7.2 from CM's site;
Gapps from Goo.im.
Baseband: P500-M76XX-V10f-FEB-18-2011-XX.
(Taken by LGMDP AFTER flashing to CM7)
P.S. Before posting I looked for similar posts, but could only find ones dealing with the New Baseband (e.g. http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...&highlight=error+while+searching+for+networks). As I have the Old Baseband and CM7.2 requires the Old Baseband (so it seems), they seemed irrelevant.
Thanks in advance!
Cm needs new baseband. There's your problem.
As a substitute, chech the cm7.2 development thread in the original work category. The first post provides a temporarely fix.
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
Mine got strange problem:
After flashing ROM PowerGB X 1.0, everything works fine (sms receive & send, Internet via mobile / Wifi, calling outside) but only one problem, I cannot receive call! When I call from outside to my P500 no, the network always says busy or I've requested to block my phone from outside.
I've check all settings regarding call blocking, but all is normal.
Thanks, thatnextdoorboy!
I've updated to the new baseband (using the LGMDP guide) and it now works great!
I think that this guide is a bit unclear, reading it it seems that only CM7.2 Nightlies require the new, while the Stable version doesn't.
Thanks again! (You're actually pretty nice to newbies around here...)

Possible kernel screwup. Need help!

Hello o'wise developers,
I'm a flashoholic... Switching android os all the time, for what I like the most. Using the international Samsung S4, i9505.
Long-story-short: flashed a ported version of a MIUI os that I liked, and wifi did not work. Figured it was a bad kernel, since it seems like the software had no connection what so ever with the wifi hardware. So I looked around and found a promising thread on a forum, that had what I needed. This was a .tar file that I downloaded and flashed with Odin v3.07.
Next, hard-bricked: no boot, no recovery, only Download Mode. Found a topic on xda that guided me through repairing a "dead s4". The torutial should work for both i9500 and i9505 it said. Luckily it seemed to work.
Next, soft-bricked: I flashed an old backup and got back on the horse..
At present: Mostly things works, but everytime someone calls me I get the "Android.phone stopped working" message and then hang up the caller. Also at times when just "wabbling" around doing nothing, sometimes the screen freezes and the system hangs..
I'm sure I've got the wrong files flashed down below again... On this level, I don't know what to do. Can somebody help me repair my phone?
