[ROM][4.3][CM 10.2][31/07/13] elicik's Unofficial CM 10.2 builds - Nexus 7 Android Development

Hey, I realized that there aren't many CM 10.2 ROMs out there yet, so I made one of my own. This is my first published ROM, so expect a buggy, unsupported experience. I am using fat-tire's repos for the time being. For now, I recommend the GAPPS posted here. I will attempt to post a new build everyday, but no promises.
I don't do support, but I will try to answer questions, and I would appreciate bug reports. Note that CM 10.2 is very much in development right now.
Download/ Changelog
07/31/13 (mirror) - Just a new sync, there should be no real changes.
07/30/13 (mirror) - Initial build, uses fat-tire's repos for device and kernel
For detailed changes see the gerrit page.
Bugs
Focal doesn't work
Two Clock apps, one from Google, one from Android.

Sweet. Been waiting for this. Thanks

the only reason that there are two clocks is because there is one in the cm10.2 zip and the 4.3 gapps.

Can I get a mirror, please? The download always fails at 144MB for me.

Why not use CMs repo? Just edit the manifests default.xml to include the cm10.2 tag, and enter the proper lines to grab the device and vendor file(s) for Grouper?

I would, but grouper's device and kernel don't as of yet have 10.2 branches. I use fattire's because I believe they are the best I can do until we have official.

* The /device tree is basically 10.1's device plus a bunch of cherry-picked stuff from AOSP 4.3, plus newer SELinux rules, plus my own minor changes.
* The /kernel tree is currently AOSP 4.3 stock with a cyanogenmod_android_defconfig added. None of the customization from 10.1 are here yet.

[NIGHTLY][ROM] [GWK74] CyanogenMod 7 for vendor Umts_Jordan (Motorola Defy)

This thread is reserve for nightly build of CyanogenMod Rom for Motorola Defy!

If you have issue with this rom just WIPE ALL and try again.
Although i do not agree on the title of the post. I like to have this info available.
Tks!
If you want to help newcomers then you might wanna include a more detailed procedure regarding the installation from scratch. Moreover in your brief "tutorial" you skipped the step regarding the installation of the 2nd init app, which includes also the custom recovery module. You should also stress that there are some (old) custom recovery apps on this forum which aren't enough (2nd init module it's also required).
Ok noob question, is the nightly build cumulative? I have CM7.1, if I install the nightly for 1/11 using ROM manager, will it include all the changes since 7.1 was released?
TIA
I haven't saw any incremental updates on CM7 for Defy, therefore the answer to your question is: Yes, it's cumulative.

Nightlies are build from files from repo every time, so it contains every chages all the time. They are a snapshot of the development.
Think them as a rolling distro of linux

Hi this is a hudge issue with the Lense style lockscreen. In nightlies #57 and #59. I selected my lockreen style Lense and when I locked my phone, I can't unlock it anymore. When I drag Lense bar down the phone vibrates, but won't unlock and I stucked in Lense lockscreen.
What page can you use to report bugs? My Sony Ericsson MW600 Bluetooth Headset does not work with CM7.1 on Defy. Anyone?
On nightly #60 there is constant fc on Google+. Even when I'm not using it I get prompts saying that it has to close.

[ROM][Nightly][ICS] Team Eos Transformer Nightlies (tf101)

Team EOSICS 4.0.4 TF101NIGHTLIES
Welcome to the evolution of TiamatXOOM.
With the AOSP release of Android 4.0 begins the next dawn of the Android operating system. And with this release comes Team EOS, the natural evolution of the TiamatXOOM development team.
It is the goal of Team EOS to develop and maintain the highest performing and most stable AOSP based rom for an array of platforms. The launching point for this development effort is the Motorola XOOM.
For the latest news on Team EOS Xoom releases make sure you follow @teameos on twitter and on IRC on Freenode in #xoom.

NOTE: Team EOS, it’s members, friends, dogs, cats, and associates are in no way responsible for any loss of data or device functionality. Use this at your own risk!
--
A quick note on Nightlies: NIGHTLIES ARE DEVELOPMENT BUILDS. They are automatically generated once every 24 hours and represent the compilation of the latest commits to the code repository. While every effort is made ensure that the commits that are accepted are stable and do not have a negative impact to the overall performance and function of the builds it is not possible to test every aspect of a commits impact to the overall repo prior to it’s inclusion in a given build. As a result it is entirely possible that instabilities may be introduced as a result of a given days commits. That is the nature of the nightly system, and the risk that is taken using the latest code changes to the project.
EOS is an AOSP based rom. It is developed and maintained by Team EOS and is the culmination of our own in house development efforts.
Team EOS TF101 Nightly builds: http://goo-inside.me/devs/teameos/roms/nightlies/tf101/
G-Apps Package
Because this is an AOSP based rom Google Apps are not included in the base rom. To install Google Apps please flash the following package after installing the base rom:
Use the latest available gapps package available from http://goo.im/gapps
*Note - You will need to re-flash G-Apps after you flash an updated nightly build. You can do this before you reboot after the installation of a new nightly.
Also note that if you are coming from an earlier G-Apps package you will need to wipe prior to installation of this package in order to avoid FC issues.
--
Features:
Because these are nightly builds the included features are constantly evolving. Change logs are generally generated on a daily basis.
Change logs can be viewed at http://nightlies.teameos.org/changelogs/
For the most up to date and comprehensive listing of the changes included in this rom please visit http://review.teameos.org

Installation Notes:
These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery
Perform a full wipe (read Factory Reset) prior to installing this over ANY Honeycomb based rom (this includes all Tiamat roms)
BUGS!
If you find strange or otherwise unexplained errors please report them here: https://bugs.teameos.org/ Please include logcats and as thorough a description of the issue and what lead up to the issue as possible. With out this we will be unable to track down these errors.

I know this is a brand new nightly build, but I'm not able to enable wifi. It just sits there saying it's turning it on. I did a full wipe before flashing the nightly build and the latest GAPPS, got nothing for the Wifi...
Nevermind, after a reboot the back icon changed to that it should be.
Roach, when do you think full support for the dock will be baked in? Not looking for an ETA really, just where it is on your to-do list.

You can be the first to log bugzilla ticket for me - https://bugs.teameos.org/
If you can post some logcat output of when you try to turn on wifi in the ticket it will help a great deal.
I do already know about the down/back arrow. It seems to fix itself when you launch a new application.

Easy enough. Now as far as timing, do I try to turn on wifi first, let it sit for a while, then do the logcat?
I'm on the standard build myself. But I have the cornerstone one available too. Might give that a try after, or just try wiping and reinstalling after I get the logcat.

I can report newest build works flawless so far. ART is working, breaks Superuser though. Use SuperSU instead. Had the same with an early build of Slimkat on my Nexus7, no idea how they fixed this.
Awesome work TJKV!
/Edit: It won't boot anymore Don't know, what I did that caused this. I got everything ready, rebooted to backup and that's it.
/Edit2: again :-/ I flashed again, got ART ready, flashed gapps, SuperSU and restored /data from the backup I took. Booted up just fine, with all apps but greenify (that one was missing, no idea why). Installed greenify, didn't do anything else of note. Doesn't boot anymore.
/Edit3: after 3 times battery pulled the phone finally booted!
/Edit4: restoring a backup of CM now, maybe I give it another go tomorrow.

Feel free to post logs / bugs here. Mainly have time to build after work on weekdays. On the weekends is when I can actually work on fixing things.
For device specific things just post the bugs / logs here. For CM specific bugs I would use JIRA and post a link to the bug here. (More helpful/useful to the CM team to make an actual JIRA bug report.)
3 WORDS: STABLE AS ****!
thanks for the rom, this will forsure be my daily driver. only little problem is the no service icon (xt1031) but data is working. soft reboot fixes it though!
Can anyone please comment on the speed of this ROM since it is Linaro based? The other 5.1 ROMs on my phone are pretty responsive, but if even more speed can be gained with our limited hardware, that will be great.
@CodyF86,
Having a problem with the download link. Rom starts downloading but does not download the whole 251mb. Only partial download. Tried about ten times but still same result. Tried with a different browser but same result.
Edit: Nevermind. Downloaded the rom from my phone and copied it from download folder on phone to internal storage.
Hello there @CodyF86 ! Thanks for you work! One little request. Do you think you will be able to add a mirror or upload your work to another claudbased storage? Like MEGA or Mediafire or AndroidFileHost or whichever you want. This one you are using is insanely unstable for me. It gets interrupted every 5 minutes. I'll be really glad if you could change it or add other(s).
Cheers.
I'll upload to Google drive starting tonight also. Driving home from work, will do another one.

Update: yes, this ROM is very fast indeed! Thanks for sharing.
This ROM is very fast! Especially for a CM ROM (which in my experience have gotten horribly slow over the last few versions) I haven't experienced nearly as many redraws, stutters, freezes or any other general unpleasantness. Good job @CodyF86

CWM 6.0.5.1 I think 6.0.4.7 is the last one posted on CMs website, I'll post the latest one in the OP tonight, but they're basically the same. Nothing needs to be changed from stock.

Theoretically they all should work, but I need someone to the GSM version to try it out.

Will do another one tonight / it's the weekend can play around with it get some things done now.

[ROM] [DEV ABOOT] [UNOFFICIAL] VanirAOSP m6 [KLTEVZW] [Weekly-ish]

-- Begin copy-pasta template from one of my other unofficial build threads... please let me know if I miss updating something --
Note: I don't run this ROM personally, I really just built it. It shouldn't, but it may eat your cat.
Code:
*** Disclamer
-- You install these at your own risk! You are responsible for anything that happens from flashing these files to YOUR phone! If your
phone melts into a pile of goo, catches on fire etc. IT IS NOT MY RESPONSIBILTY BUT YOURS!
FAQ:
Q: Can I use this?
A: Do you have a developer aboot? If so then yes, but I won't help you install a developer aboot. I only ever had a Developer phone, so I only know the process as well as reading the thread. See this thread for info/help: HERE
Q: When/how often are these built?
A: Less often than my CM13.0 build, but at least every week. Unlike my CM13.0 build, I don't use this ROM so I won't be doing a "does it boot" check before uploading. Please tell the entire thread if one day's build doesn't work properly.
Q: Why did you do this ROM next instead of ______?
A: #1, it was easy. Vanir doesn't require me to make a new branch to change file names and text lines in the makefiles from "cm" to XXXX. #2, Vanir holds a special place to me for having device trees that worked for our S5 at least through Lollipop -- they allowed me to make my own CM builds. #3, I used it back in the day and they seemed pretty tight.
Q: Can I get help with something?
A: I have a full-time job and travel a lot. I'll try to jump in and answer some questions, but there is a lot of info out there for you to learn on your own. Aside from you having a vzw-variant, most of the details are standard KLTE.

Recovery:
The standard KLTE TWRP 3.1.0-0 should mostly work, but MTP doesn't work for any klte* variant using it.
I prefer KToonsez's 2.8.6-based Recovery. It's older, but MTP works.
There are Unofficial 3.*.0-* recoveries available by @jcadduono. I find that these don't support decryption properly, which I find to be mandatory.
Like many other devices, the .zip files can be flashed in a recovery. The .tar.md5 files can be flashed in ODIN. The .img files can be flashed using Flashify, a TWRP recovery. You can even get an .img file from a .zip or .tar.md5 if you just open it up.
If you use adopted storage then things get odd. The latest recovery by @jcadduono MAY support adopted storage if you don't encrypt userdata (I personally know that TWRP handles adopted storage for jflte and d2), but I do use encryption so I don't use that recovery. It may be that you only see /data/media/0 -- if so, I find that using Flashify for each nightly is the most straightforward way to update, but you could always manually copy to /data/media/0 before rebooting to recovery. This is a standard Marshmallow and TWRP thing.

Modem/Firmware:
Most of the LP modem/firmwares should work, but I use the one PB1 here. This modem matches with the proprietary vendor files that are part of the build. Flash it in ODIN. Please note that some have reported that you cannot flash these after the aboot unlock; If you cannot flash the PB1 modem/non-hlos it shouldn't cause any big problems.

GApps:
Various Vanir threads recommend SlimGapps, OpenGapps, or a Gapps packaged by DHO (the Vanir main developer). If you use OpenGapps, make sure to use an 6.0 version for ARM architecture. Like with all Gapps selections, they're all pretty much the same with the differences being which apps are packaged and what versions are packaged.
OpenGapps
SlimGapps
DHO's Gapps. These are a little bit older.

Downloads (the thing you were looking for):
I'll build at least once per week, at least until the RR team picks up the torch. Once the build is complete, I upload it to my AFH account.

Thanks:
Everyone on the Vanir and CM teams. This is 99% of their stuff with just a couple tweaks to make it build, (hopefully) boot, and run for KLTEVZW. See Post 2 for those changes.
