Nice man ... Will be giving this a shot. Do you have a bug tracker set up or do you want logs and reports posted here?

Yummy. Also trying this out for sure.
Edit: Sub'd, Muuahahaha!....Oh.

Feel free to post logs / bugs here. Mainly have time to build after work on weekdays. On the weekends is when I can actually work on fixing things.
For device specific things just post the bugs / logs here. For CM specific bugs I would use JIRA and post a link to the bug here. (More helpful/useful to the CM team to make an actual JIRA bug report.)

3 WORDS: STABLE AS ****!
thanks for the rom, this will forsure be my daily driver. only little problem is the no service icon (xt1031) but data is working. soft reboot fixes it though!

Can anyone please comment on the speed of this ROM since it is Linaro based? The other 5.1 ROMs on my phone are pretty responsive, but if even more speed can be gained with our limited hardware, that will be great.

@CodyF86,
Having a problem with the download link. Rom starts downloading but does not download the whole 251mb. Only partial download. Tried about ten times but still same result. Tried with a different browser but same result.
Edit: Nevermind. Downloaded the rom from my phone and copied it from download folder on phone to internal storage.

Hello there @CodyF86 ! Thanks for you work! One little request. Do you think you will be able to add a mirror or upload your work to another claudbased storage? Like MEGA or Mediafire or AndroidFileHost or whichever you want. This one you are using is insanely unstable for me. It gets interrupted every 5 minutes. I'll be really glad if you could change it or add other(s).
Cheers.

I'll upload to Google drive starting tonight also. Driving home from work, will do another one.

Thank you very much! And sorry for bothering you with this. I really want to test your ROM since al Linaro builds seem gone from this forum. Thanks again. Drive safe
Cheers.

New build posted. Main link is to Google drive now.
Some more ARM assembly fun if you look under the kernel source commits.
Will fix the signal indicator so you don't have to do a soft reboot for it to work this weekend. Need to go through the soak test build.prop and compare a few other things...just need time this weekend.

thanks for both: new link and new build Can I dirty flash it over the build before? Just installed the first release lol
Cheers.

I've been dirty flashing; should be good to go.

Update: yes, this ROM is very fast indeed! Thanks for sharing.

This ROM is very fast! Especially for a CM ROM (which in my experience have gotten horribly slow over the last few versions) I haven't experienced nearly as many redraws, stutters, freezes or any other general unpleasantness. Good job @CodyF86

Same here. great work! Not as many customizable like other 5.1 based out there, but is enough fast and stable. Thanks.

just wondering what recovery you are using and do partitions need changed from stock?

What models are supported?

@CodyF86
thanks for your work!
I've a strange bug on last cm...every time i reboot time and data change and the year switch to 2025. I've read its time_daemon related bug...can you control? I've this issue with last cm12 builds

CWM 6.0.5.1 I think 6.0.4.7 is the last one posted on CMs website, I'll post the latest one in the OP tonight, but they're basically the same. Nothing needs to be changed from stock.

Weird, I haven't noticed that, but tbh I haven't actually payed attention to what year my phone shows / I don't even have it set up to show me I'll have to look and see if mine does it also.
Will do another one tonight / it's the weekend can play around with it get some things done now.

I wonder if you would be so kind as to add something to your 2nd post? A step-by-step procedure to activate ART. This would be a work in progress I suppose, as more info comes in. At the moment there is no central place, just widely spread out posts in numerous threads.

I can report newest build works flawless so far. ART is working, breaks Superuser though. Use SuperSU instead. Had the same with an early build of Slimkat on my Nexus7, no idea how they fixed this.
Awesome work TJKV!
/Edit: It won't boot anymore Don't know, what I did that caused this. I got everything ready, rebooted to backup and that's it.
/Edit2: again :-/ I flashed again, got ART ready, flashed gapps, SuperSU and restored /data from the backup I took. Booted up just fine, with all apps but greenify (that one was missing, no idea why). Installed greenify, didn't do anything else of note. Doesn't boot anymore.
/Edit3: after 3 times battery pulled the phone finally booted!
/Edit4: restoring a backup of CM now, maybe I give it another go tomorrow.

Test
Okay guys... You guys greatly overwhelmed my Server when we launched. I don't have any money so I am using a free host.
That said, I would like to provide a fast alternative to Downloads in case the site ever goes down. Now bare with me with this suggestion...
What do you guys think about BitTorrent Sync? I know that it is a little complicated to set up; but once you set it up, you are done. So I am providing a Test for you guys.
If you have some time (and bandwidth), would you consider (re-)downloading to test the capacity? Instructions on how to do it are hidden below if you want to test:
Download BitTorrent Sync
Skip Setup and add a Sync Folder
Select a Folder (maybe /sdcard/Vox)
Enter this Secret into the Box: BTD2MQMNDQGGPKMMEZTIFC3SAD4SUQLTI
DO NOT CHECK Automatic Sync as this will download all the files, you only want to download the latest for your device!
Press Done and then open the folder in the app and download the Nexus 5 ROM, Nexus 7 ROM, and/or the QuickBoot APK.
File will be in the folder you selected when you decide to flash (in this case /sdcard/Vox)
Thanks for all of your help and also thank you for downloading!
Sincerely,
Brandon Giesing, Founder of Team Voxive
Well guys... I just lost all my data on my computer because of a partition error. I guess this project is dead.

An Update
I know that I promised an update a while ago and have not (yet) delivered...
First, Swipe to Float is becoming a pain in my A**. Literally, I just can't get it to build with it in there...
Second, PA has abandoned the Settings Reorder on their Gerrit... Should I also?
Finally, in some better news, I am trying to add Native USB OTG support for Flo. PA has it enabled on Hammerhead but not flo even though it should work.
If anybody wants to help with the ROM (some code fixes and stuff as I don't know how to code), that would be great!
Stay tuned...
Nice! First, i love PA-based ROMs and secondly native USB otg is what im ultimately looking for. Since sabermod is not updating thier ROM for a month now and third im gonna try this ROM now but the dL link is not loading. ?

Good and Bad
Okay guys, some good and bad news...
Bad news, my flo's charging port broke yesterday. This means that I have no way to test my ROM. Also, I am without any device...
Good news! It broke while I was in the middle of building! So, I have one release you guys can try while I wait for my device to get fixed by ASUS.
Below is the changelog and it is big.

Also, I have moved downloads to AFH as my personal server had download issues. Here is a direct download to today's release.
Finally, no... this doesn't include the new recents. AOSPA hasn't released the source yet. But it does include a month worth of improvements to AOSPA.
I hope you guys enjoy this and I will see you later.

Update
As you may have read a few posts back, my Flo has broke. Here is an update on that.
First, I have received it back from ASUS. Problem, they didn't fix a thing. Charging port is still broke and all they did was slap a sticker on the back.
Secondly, I tried to build an update anyway. Problem here is that some changes AOSPA has merged in are breaking builds for Flo/Deb, meaning I can't build an update till they fix it.
However, there is some good things. By time they fix the build system, the new recents will probably be open sourced as they are introducing a new feature called Dynamic System Bars. (I actually helped them announce it by Teasing the Teaser!) I have not got a chance to try it but it looks amazing. Think Tinted Status Bar but 50x better.
Also as of last Wednesday, I started back at School, I am a Senior this year so after I graduate, I will have more time for projects like this!
Hope this gives a little insight.
Thanks,
Brandon Giesing

[WIP/DEV] Kernel 3.4

So far I've got the basic A51x/A70x support added to my linux-tegra-nv-3.4 branch.
What works:
- The kernel boots
- Panel (partially?)
- USB
- Android is trying to start
Whatnot:
- everything else
So my first goal is to get display up. Currently, I've got a black screen after the bootloader logo, and the following logs:
dmesg
logcat
If anyone can help with this, hit me on hangouts, my g+ profile can be found on my xda profile. I'd appreciate any help, this would be a huge step forward for these devices.
Great work so far !
I quickly looked at your logs, there is some problem with the GPU and SurfaceFlinger can't start.
I'm not very good with Kernel specific devs, but at this point maybe you will have to upgrade hardware libs (egl, etc.).
Maybe you can try to use some Nexus 7 2012 vendor blobs : https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/drivers#grouperktu84p

Newer ones may be needed for 3.4, dunno... also, I may have just missed something simple...
Code:
W/SurfaceFlinger( 266): no suitable EGLConfig found, trying a simpler query
F/SurfaceFlinger( 266): no suitable EGLConfig found, giving up
...
D/NvOsDebugPrintf( 270): NvRmPrivGetChipIdStub: Could not read Tegra chip id/rev
D/NvOsDebugPrintf( 270): Expected on kernels without Tegra3 support, using Tegra2
Anyways, I'm still working on 3.1, refactoring Acer's mess with the kernel files outside the kernel files... minimizing those changes will ease 3.4 development a lot, as it's confusing to watch out for Acer ifdef's all around the kernel

I don't have the device ATM, so I can't do anything related to this.
OK, received an A700 for free to work on this project and I made quite some progress; I fixed almost everything, so 3.4 is like, usable as a daily driver now. Are there any users left to enjoy it? I'm going to start official Unlegacy Android builds (4.4 and 6.0, then 7.1 later on) shortly more details will follow later. The changes include switching to slightly newer blobs for slightly better 2D/3D performance with 3.4.

I found the builds on Jenkins. I even ran them on my a700. If remove checks from the installer, they are flashed.
But the recovery does not work.

OK, received an A700 for free to work on this project and I made quite some progress; I fixed almost everything, so 3.4 is like, usable as a daily driver now. Are there any users left to enjoy it? A thread will be opened soon. Until then - feel free to use the aosp-6.0 builds from Jenkins (they're almost fully complete)

what checks need to be removed?
I tried flashing with twrp 2.7.1 (newest publicly available) and ctr 3.3
twrp failed at unexpected contents (I previously wiped all partitions)
and ctr auto-rebooted in the process when I wasn't looking, and it apparently failed as well.
this was using the newest "stable" 6.0.1 build

No flashable zips? I didn't own a pc...

Looks like Cellular part doesn't work. Reboot on setup screen, and endless searching when looking for providers.
Am wondering if this has an apns-conf.xml?
Baseband isn't installed?
Never mind, apns-conf is included.
Also notice it only has 2 and 3g capability, even if it worked. No LTE
Screen rotation doesn't work and gets stuck in portrait mode when Hangouts opened.
Wifi drops out and will not auto-connect (sporadic)
Camera Forces closes
GPS doesn't work (locations doesn't work with wifi either)
Seems these issues are also on the Z2 Phone.
Unfortunately no builds for Castor Windy (SGP 511/512) yet
Also, a bit more info in the OP would be appreciated, such as what works and what doesn't.

Ive also noted on the downloads page there are 2 download files with the same file name. However, when zip opened, the file image sizes are different.
Are they indeed 2 different builds? After redownloading, it is indeed so. Pity there isn't a date before downloading. (I know why)
Oh yes, one more thing. Adfly needs to go. It's fair enough I paid for the premium speed, but the adfly is against the rules.

Soft brick......
Hi there,
Any chance to see a 4.4 AOSP for the Z2 tablet ?
I'd like to use XPosed but that can't be done in LOL I think...
I know that there is a CM 11 for the Z2 Tablet... but some features I'd like to get on my Tablet using Gravity Box won't work as the things are modded by CM (i.e. : the QuickSettings)
AOSP exists for the Z2 Phone... why not for the Tablet ?
If needed, I have a running Linux VM to build it myself... but have not been really succesful so far
Regards.
are there any AOSP, not cm12 prebuild images?
ok, found them, i can see 2 caster with the same date, which is the castor windy?
There is no version for Castor_Windy yet...
a lot of changed including telephony this week
please test on as many netrworks and report back
new roms are released
Why still no castor_windy?
new builds coming
changes
-wifi fixed on z1,z1c,zUltra
-full device encryption
-panel detection M2,E3,T3,T2U
not implemented yet
-camera
Known bugs
-video playback in full screen is broken
-GPS on 8974
please post any bug you find so that we can fix them
enjoy

Ah, that last one was just called AOSiP_flo_UNOFFICIAL, so it's all good now
Hi simplyme2908
Awesome work.
Please make this available for deb too. Since you dont have a deb I am ready to test your build for deb in my device.
Thank you in advance.
Awesome fast ROM. When setting up and signing in Google recognises the device as Nexus 7 2012 and not Nexus 7 2013, is this normal?

Others have reported the same. I even think that happened when I flashed the last 6.0 ROM recently.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Running smooth but I found some bugs.
* Permissions doesn't seem to be working correctly, you have to set all permissions manually per app through the app manager, otherwise they will crash. For instance, I tried downloading a file through Chrome, and Chrome needed permission to file storage, but instead of allowing me to select allow, the app crashes. It works after I set it manually though, but it's kind of tedious for every app!
* Screen rotation gets stuck sometimes, only thing that solves it is a reboot.
Missing some features like % for battery and stuff, but I guess that'll come eventually

For the battery %... Have you tried the system ui tuner? I haven't used this particular nougat rom, but i believe it's the same base as the others. Should work

I think I have a possible fix for that package manager crash. I'll try a build the day after. Have an exam tomorrow, so have to study today. And for rotation, try parrot mod, see if that fixes your issue. Its a common issue as far as the device is concerned.
Is it for LTE version ?
