What do you meant by unbranded device.. this tool works well with all mediatek powered phones... no matter what the brand is...

brother @praderj you should upload spflash tool and mtk preloader drivers.........

Does SP Flash Tool Installs Stock Recovery As Well?
First of all, thanks for the time and effort you have put into creating this detailed guide.
Now, the question is, does SP Flash Tool flash the stock recovery as well? If i have CWM installed on a mediatek device (Gionee P2) and i use SP Flash tool to flash the stock rom, will the tool flash Gionee's stock recovery as well?
I really want to know this as it would be extremely useful in situations where the device needs to be sent to the service center.

already checked it says that device supports otg but when I connect nothing happens even tried all apps that mounts USB otg but no luck I guess It requires kernel changes

As it is already ported you will not need mktdroid tools
If you want to install CWM on your q1000s then please follow below steps
1. Install framaroot
2. Root your mobile with framaroot
3. Install mobile uncle and install above recovery.img with the help of mobile uncle

Thanks, did this and it seemed it worked too. It taken me too CWM recovery as well when I clicked the prompt of 'reboot in recovery?'
But it never took me again there (but stock recovery) with Up Arrow + Power button combination. If I select boot in recovery in the MU menu, it takes to stock recovery.
Do we need to use MU every time, push img and then choose prompt to goto CWM?
Please help.

Thats inbuit Stock recovery restore script which is restoring Stock Recovery on reboot.
rename recovery-from-boot.p file to anyother name

[Q] Not getiing rooted

hello sir
first of all thanks for doing so much effort on HTC explorer.
All those tutorial and loading jellybean is very awesome.
The problem is i followed all the steps for unlock bootloader, installed jellybean successfully also but my phone is not completely rooted. After following all the procedure, I checked my root function through a software name root checker which i downled from Google play store and after checking i am getting this msg that "Sorry this device does not have proper root access"

Also there is a gud news .... you can finally unlock Ur boot loader.
just go to http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader/
select xperia c and follow the given steps... u will receive a mail(a code).. just use that code and VOILA .. ur bootloader is unlocked!!
PS> its conformed that bootloader can be unlocked... on whatsapp grp many have done this

I will be unlocking my device's bootloader after it is out of its warranty but if you want to do that visit this ( though it is officially not allowed)

And den reboot your fone normally... nw u will b able to use advanced reboot options. .. ise reboot to recovery. .. wen u reboot to recovery n if u just c d android n no options.. just press d camera key... hope dis helps... will try as soon as I get n xc...

you can come back if you root the phone but i dont think that you can lock the bootloader again. 1st lets unlock it and then we think for locking it

I guess flashing ftf will do.... I do a lot of mess with my grand quattro. . But flashing stock rom reverts everything. .. so ol my mess is cleared...

okay now i have my xperia ....got the unlock code.. downloading sdk tools now ... will update after an hour.

so our device doesnt connect in fastboot mode so unlocking the bootloader may not be possible at this moment.. now v can only hope for sme update with bootloader unlocked

This is never going to happen until sony release new kernel update
We have tried many times to get it done but this never happens.
@ all this fake as we can't boot into fastboot mode unless we get kernel update. so pls don't waste your time in trying this as the OP is not able to give the proof.
also compare the image which the op as added that's saying booloader is unlocked. just compare this img with yours.

*Again go to settings>About phone and click on build no. 7 time continuously. A popup will show "Now You Are A Developer"
*Go back and go to Developer Option and tick on USB debugging.

*Click on "Boromir". A popup will show that Reboot your device.
*Restart your phone.
*Go to app Drawer there you will find an app called SuperSU.
Hollah you have successfully rooted your A600.

Try other apps like Kingroot, towel root etc.

I have tried each and every root app I knw, and recommended by senior. This phone is thick skinned (may be) . I am in waiting of rooting device still. God save me. Thanks all senior member for my concern. I want rest for some time .

Well try one more thing! But you will need PC for it! Try vROOT!! It will work 100%
