[Q] Star G9300+ Touch screen problem - General Questions and Answers

I'm having a strange problem with my Star G9300+, MTK6577.
There is a part of the screen, where the touch of 1 finger is recognized as 2 fingers, 5mm vertically distant one from the other.
I've tried with a multitouch tester APP, and it shows that this happens on the whole width of the screen, for a 5mm-height area, in the middle of the screen.
Any idea on what it can be, and how to solve it?
Thanks
Omar

got this problem on my first multitouch device, too. this is a faulty digitizer. buy a replacement one, this is the only way get it working.

do you know were i can find a touch replace

Touch Screen HW problem!!

Hello, I have my TP for a year and half, but i am 2nd owner. I have faced a new problem, and I can not solve it myself. Yesterday as i was doing routine on my display touch screen stopped responding. Everything is okay, but when I touch the screen nothing happens. Problem is, that contacts are somehow broken or something like that. I have removed plastic touch screen from the top of display and that contacts looks like 2 small piles of paper. I have almost rip off one of them, its that fragile!
And now my question: Have someone experienced this problem so far? I dont want to go to the mobile services, because I am out of warranty and I dont have 100e to throw out. Can these contacts be somehow ... stronger? Or can I completely remove the upper screen? When I put my finger on the bottom, where the contacts are, Touch screen is responding, so this problem is definitely problem with electricity. Please help me to fix It myself if it is possible.. Thank you. And if theres some problems with my english, I am sorry, I am from Slovakia.

Replacement touch screen?

Hi all,
my tg01 has a large rainbow patch on the screen, and it is sometimes visable even when the back light is on,
i was wondering if replacing the screen would solve this problem?
and if this is the solution is this the right part i should order?

The part you have linked to is just the Digitiser (incidentaly not apparently identical to the TG01) - the resistive matrix pad which sits over the actual LCD and provides the 'touch' x-y grid information to the processor.
A rainbow patch suggests one of three things:
1. a point of pressure which is distorting the LCD screen under the digitiser
2. possibly a crack in the actual glass
3. inward distortion in the digitiser causing it to press against the LCD glass
I'd look closely first to see if you have anything eg. between the battery and the body which might be causing such pressure forwards; then check the digitiser to see if the surface appears bowed inwards and finally examine closely for any crack.
It may be that a new digitiser would solve; but if there is a crack in the LCD glass then I'm afraid only a replacement screen will solve.
Good luck !
Thanks for your help
i will look into it more
but i think its because of the screen being exposed to a point of pressure because lately i have been keeping it in my trouser pocket along side my ipod which i think has created the rainbow patch
I found something like this.

maybe it helps
alternative solution
If someone in Italy have broken his TG01 and want to sell, i'm online, my tg 01 need a new mainboard....
Thanks
Alessandro
why not try
Finally, you buy it?
stay away!
I think we can try

I will ask a very stupid question... can I put some other device touch screen or like to put REGZA the tg03 capacitive screen? u dont need drivers for that just that screen fits?

Most unlikely that it would be practicable to transplant a capacitive screen. The resistive digitiser on the TG01 screen has a dedicated ribbon cable interfacing to the main board providing X-Y information; even if the capacitive substitute had a similar connector, the hardware on the main board will not be able to interpret the signal. And I am sure that there will be different drivers for the capacitive screen, even though performing the same function.
I would have to ask though why the desire to go capacitive ? The resistive screen (properly calibrated) gives virtualy the same responsiveness with the massive added bonus of being able to use a proper stylus when wanted, in particular for real handwriting recognition, which is impossible on a capacitive device.
just asking, I had and capacitive that was really bad so as resistive and I had the good capacitive and probably the best resistive screen here on tg01

[Q] screen wont draw straight diagonal lines-any way to fix this?

my screen on my tab 2 7 works almost perfect, except when I draw diagonaly, it wiggles tons. the screen is clean amd it has done this sonce i first opened it. It does this regardless of if I use a stylus or my fingers, and it does the same on my sisters tab of the same kind. Is it fixable? or is ia just a hardware problem? Im an artist so this is getting really annoying, since it wont draw curves or circles because of this D:
Mine's done it since day 1 also, and as far as I know, it's a common "issue" with the digitizer. Basically, the digitizer cheap. Only way I've found around it is to apply more surface area with your finger.

[Q] Zopo C2 Unresponsive Touch screen top part

Hi,
So a while back the touchscreen of my ZOPO C2 started acting up,
I decided to open up an app where I could draw and it turns out I can't get any input on a perfect row about an inch or so from the top of the screen, and about half an inch across, all the way from one side to another.
I can color in the whole screen but it's perfectly blank on that one row. ( see screenshot )
Now since a week this half inch has doubled to an inch where it makes my phone damn hard to use.
Now i think its a problem with the digitizer, i need to know sure if a replacement screen+touch part will fix it, because i dont wanna throw away 90 euro's
Thx in advance
running android 4.2
screen was not cracked till it happened (is now because i dropped it -.-)

Strange problem with touchscreen

Hello, guys.
Recently, I dropped my M2 on the street, resulting in cracked touchscreen and lcd. Replaced both the touch and the lcd, everything seemed normal until I noticed that the middle part of the touch (a line going from the left to the right, around 1cm height) doesn't work, it just doesn't respond. Later, I got another new touchscreen and same story - same part of the screen doesn't work.
Maybe we have some kind of defect touch screens here in Bulgarian stores? Though I bought the two touches from two seperate stores. Or it's possible that it's something with the lcd? Even though it works normally, no strange behavior, no black spots, scratches or anything. Or could it be a software problem? Using Android 5.0.
Thanks in advance.
More likely to be motherboard problem if it's the same with 2 different screens being installed
Thanks for your answer.
One thing I forgot to mention - when testing the screen in Sony's Sketch app or in the service menu, if I run my finger from the top to the bottom, or the opposite way quickly, sometimes, the lines my finger makes don't get cut, i.e. it's like the screen is functioning properly, with no dead spots. What does this mean?
According to Sony support, it could be a compatibility issue between the phone/touchscreen/LCD, what do you think?
