short story: chainfire 3d driver installation--> stuck @ boot--->now downloading a new rom(tried factory reset thru recovery)--->damn thing wont turn off pressing the power button (tried long press)just restarts
Try entering the download mode (power + vol down for a couple of secs).
Confirm that u want to enter it (vol up when asked).
Then try to power off.
Btw chainfires drivers are for ics only i think... installing it over jb causes bootloop, as described above. However today there are not many tegra-exclusive games, the boom has finished, and many unique games were already released in non-tegra version. Better stick with jb and native drivers, but it's only a hint.

I am a Noob when it comes to rooting and what not but please spare a minute to help me out
I wanted to root my Xperia Mini Pro so a thread had sent me to the Sony website which shows how to root
I cant seem to put the link since im new so i will break it up into 5 parts (Just join them together)
http ://talk.sony mobile .com/thread/ 41119?start=0&tstart=0
SO anyways, in brief, to Root my phone using DoomLords root i have to downgrade my phone to a previous Kernal since the one i am currently using is unrootable
Current Kernal - 4.1.B.0.587
Kernal to flash to - 4.1.A.0.562
So in order to Flash it I have to use Flashtool
Now the real problem (Sorry for the lengthy explanation, want this to be fixed ASAP)
Now in order to do it there are instructions to put the phone into flash mode
Image Attached
Okay, I follow everything, Ofcourse Unknown Sources is Checked and so is USB Debugging and It is on MSC Mode
When i Hold the Back key and Plug it in the PC, that window still stays there
Is it because my back button is touch and not a button as in the picture?
Do i need to press another button since my back button is touch and cannot be detected?
I need all the help i can
Thanks
EDIT
Okay I have successfully Flashed and Rooted my phone
After playing around with it I found out that Since my phone has touch buttons, you have to instead hold down volume down key when plugging it in
So all Users who use an Xperia phone with touch buttons, dont follow the instruction on screen, press and hold the volume down button sintead of the back button
Cheers
Just to make it clear

Since I just had my friends phone rooted and unlocked... A few words about Mini Pro versions.
Please keep in mind, that there are atleast two HARDWARE releases/versions of model named in the market Xperia Mini Pro
1. The one sold in 2010/2011 is u20/u20i -> hardware buttons at bottom, Phone powered off, BACK button pressed while connecting USB to enter flash mode. This one works on old kernel, Android 2.1 (upgrade to ICS/JB version+MiniCM10 well, gave it a kick! I must admit, I was watching miniCM6 & 7 becoming slower every month ).
2. The one u all most probably buy now is sk17i -> one hardware button at button. Phone powered off, VOL+/VOL- button pressed while connecting USB to enter flash mode (u'll see characteristic blue diode flash when it happens). This one works on ICS kernel, Android 4.0
Please keep in mind: unrooting is not unlocking bootloader - my friend mixed those 2 things forcing me (with a lots of whiskey) to do both - at the end he decided to remain with stock s/w since its on ICS
In case smthng went really bad, keep in mind that boot-to-flash thing and use PC Companions Repair option to load clean stock SE/Sony firmware. Saved my ass more than several times

You have the 4.1.A.0.562 kernal? Can you share it with me? I can hardly find it!
Hi Guys
This morning my GT-N8000 wouldn't boot. It's stuck on the boot screen displaying "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1".
I pressed the power button for a while making the device reboot and pressed power & vol-down to enter download mode. Download mode is working so I loaded Odin and the device was recognized so I flashed stock ROM with success. Flash went well and it reached 100% and no error messages from Odin and the Note 10.1 rebooted as expected. BUT... it's still stuck on boot screen.
Is it possible to make a hard reset somehow? Maybe while it's connected to the computer somehow?
I suppose I will have to send it in for repairs
Brgds...
Go first to recovery Mode (Power + Volume Up) and make a Factory Reset, After this CLEAR CACHE. Reboot and maybe thats it. If not, Flash now again with odin.
Your Data and Setting are all delete after this, but i dont know a other Way :-\

Power+Vol up will not bring up recovery mode on mine... are you sure it does on yours?
Okay.... Switch off the Note.
Hold down Power and Volume Up, if you see the Boot Logo, hold only the "volume up" down and release the power button until you see the Android symbol

I have the same problem, my GNote is stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy Note" screen.
I've tried to switch off the note, but the screen goes off for one second and it lights up again at the same screen.
If I plug the USB cable and try to switch it off, the note goes to the battery charging screen.
Odin seems to "connect" with the table.
I can enter the download mode and just that. I can't enter the recovery.
Attached pictures of qhat I get.
Any sugestions?

Then i guess the only way would be to flash a stock firmware using odin, eg the one it came with from the factory.
You should be able to download a stock firmware from SamFirmware, after you have created a free account....
umm...

if you look at my thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2619555
it shows you that i have already tried this method your telling me about and all it says is "Fail" :/
Any other suggestions?
didn't solve mine... ... ...
Agelcer:
I did as you said, but unfortunately, for me Odin always gave me the Failed Message.
I used the firmware file from the link and the Odin 3.07 from the other link as well.
Did anyone get the same result?
And did anyone find a solution for this problem after failing with this method?
Thanks
Usual reasons for fail .
Wrong Firmware / Wrong Model .
Bad firmware download .
I went to a service with my N8000. They put another EMMC and tried something with JTAG (they didn't say the exact details), still doesn't work. What other things can I do, apart from changing the whole board - the most expensive solution (is there a little component that could be damaged and it gets stuck at boot logo)?
Hi guys,
I was deactivating apps on my Xperia L (C2105) with Titanium Backup and I think I bricked my phone.
I was deactivating all those apps starting with Xperia and having something to do with that social media bull**** I don't use anyway. So I decided to deactivate them. I might have deactivated Xperia Home accidentally too. After I closed Titanium Backup the screen went dark, only the upper "taskbar" showed up and the Walkman app was running. I shut my phone down and tried to turn it on again. But that's where it gets stuck. I see the Sony logo, then Xperia logo and then that coloured animation and that's it. It gets stuck from this point on.
I tried all button combinations like Volume + and Power or Volume - and Power but it didn't work. When I press Volume + AND - and Power nothing happens. But after this even just pressing the Power button won't work. I have to take out the battery and then Power button works again.
Is there any way I can recover my phone without flashing it?
If not, can you suggest a good step by step tutorial on how to unbrick my phone?

Damn it. That's what I feared. Thanks for your quick reply.
Or you may push a launcher to your /system/app through adb...
This happened to me many times...

Thanks for the tip but I've already flashed my phone with fw version .26. Now it runs like it used to. Battery life is great, I can go 3 days without recharging. And it runs way more smoothly and without bugs. I don't know what Sony changed in .14 and .17 but it's gotten way worse.
I wiped data/cache and formatted /system to install the CM 12 nightly. When I tried flashing it, it said it was for all the D66xx models, but wouldn't install because my device is "leo." I then tried to restart the phone, but missed the chance to enter recovery. Now the phone is stuck in the Sony screen and I can't turn the phone off at all. Holding the power button for over 30 seconds is not working. I am just letting the phone sit until the battery dies to try entering recovery again, but that might take a very long time. What can I do? Do you have any suggestions?
EDIT: All I needed to do was to hold power + vol up for 2 seconds and the phone turned off.
And just an FYI, there is a hard reset button inside where the sim tray is

Hi guys.
I have problem with my Huawei Ascend Mate 7. I bought it with a bootloop with a view to repare it but it isn't all so rosy. When I'm trying to install manually stock system there are some weird things.
When I am holding power, volume up and volume down without so card it starts updating and of course end with an error after 5%. When I am doing it with sd card but with unpacked update it also starts updating and of course end with and error after 5%. And now is the most weird thing. When I am doing it when on sd card is only 'dload' folder with an update inside that folder, the manual start (holding power, volume up and down) doesn't work. The phone is rebooting with a little lag on a Huawei logo.
Do you have any ideas how to reinstall rom on this phone?
You don't write what rom you have!!! How we must help you
