how did u make a flashable zip file to work with recovery? i have made my own theme a while ago and got the frameword-res.apk and systemUI.apk. how do i make a flashable zip?

Oh dear God, I think you may have answered something I have been wrestling with for a while. If I use the recovery flash method rather than pushing the files with adb, will the theme also include the new custom lock screens?
I just tried to flash my downloaded UOT .zip and now i've got a bootloop.
Do i just make it the same way as i would if i was pushing the -res and UI .APKs to the phone?

But you have the new firmware 4.0.A.2.368?Specified that' only the firmware and the file and 'have been personally tested and works great.
I extracted the file, found a lot of folders, I don't know what to do next..
Can you do a step by step tutorial on how to install this? Thanks..

You have the recovery? You don't open the zip file and extract it, but put the archive.zip in the directory of the sd and flash it as a zip.
What's recovery? Where can I found it? Sorry, total noob on this..
I got yours workung fine but when i flased mine from uot kitchen i get bootloop. They both contain the same folders. Maybe bad dowbload.

To do this you need the Bootloader Unlocked,and R00T!

but before you do BOOT the package put the Theme in ZIP state anyware to your SDCard.Once you BOOT the package and click Install from SD,find it and CLICK YES !!!! you'll have your theme
Do a nAndroid before doing it (backup)
To enter recovery again,Reboot,when you see the FIRST logo,Hold the Power button and TAP BACK BUTTON like a DONKEY!!!
I think i might be a professional idiot. I know what i was doing wrong.
When i was making my theme with uot kitchen i used the framework-res.apk and systemUI.Apk that were on my computer but these have been there for ages and aren't from the newest firmware that i am on now

I'm only using the stock recovery, lol. haha.. I'm no pro, and not lurking much around to increase my uhmm you know.
This will give you a transparent Rosie Navbar on Sense 3.5. Extract from zip and push to system/apps with a File Explorer or have someone make a flashable zip since I don't know how. I use ES File Explorer and it does the job for me. I run EddyOS stock Sense 3.5 rom and whether it works on other roms, will that's for you to find out. Back up!

One without the "All Apps" and "personalise" text would be great...
@ umka and Scotsman So you want all apps and personalize text and Icon removed? This can be done but you will then need to use physical menu button to use these options.

I see no purpose in decompiling unless you are going to edit the xml's and for that I have yet to manage on getting either of those tools you mentioned working for me. I got it all set up correctly but there are no write ups on how to use the damn things. I've managed to decompile with apk tool but recompiling hasn't seemed to work for me. APk tool well that's just a lost cause for me. All I do is just extract like any normal zip and after I'm done, I place the stuff back in APK and zipalign.

The flashable zip file didn't work as you added the zip file rather than the apk into the flash file.
Redone, tested and this one installs.
However, after install it messes up the wallpaper selection as you can not select the full 540x960 wallpaers, it needs all wallpapers to be 1080x960!

OK, flashable zip attached. Tested and working
However, the rosie.apk file still has the same problem as the first in that you can only select 1080x960 walls, if you try to select a 540x960 wall it will be cropped to something smaller.

That's a Sense 3.5 issue not the Rosie. It did that even on stock theme and stock Rosie. To use 540x960 walls you would have to paste a 540x960 in the center of a 1080x960 template.

Its a very simple battery % meter ... it comes over the green battery and inside the battery icon itself number comes written...
Its a small and simple battery meter..nothing fancy at all
Sorry not able to attach screen shot not done this before i will try again and see if i can get a screen shot up...

Any idea for the changes?

If you have followed Chainfire´s rooting procedure (installation of kernel with CWM in it) per http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331784 you would need just to use CWM program to reboot into ClockWorkMod Recovery and install zip file using "install zip from sdcard" ---- now depends where you have saved the zip file you need to go to "choose zip from sdcard for file saved to external SD Card or "choose zip from internal sdcard" for file saved to your phone (internal) SD card. After the installation is complete "go back" and "reboot system now". that is all mate.

If you used those 3 files extracted from that stock ROM I do not know what happened. Only thing coming up my mind is that some of custom icon are not compatible with SGN but this is really just thought. Similar thing also happened to me (gone status bar) but in my case I installed mod intended for different ROM. Installation of proper file did not lead to status bar recovery. Just reinstall stock ROM using PC or mobile ODIN (market - Chainfire) version. This will not factory reset the phone.

What ROM are you on? The OP clearly says that this mod is for stock KKA ROM. I'm on rooted stock KKA ROM and no problem applying this mod.
Kindly check your ROM and try again.

I used Sheep KKA ROM. I thought this mod compatible with Sheep KKA ROM, apparently it is not.
I reinstalled systemui.apk from Sheep KKA ROM and my status bar is back again.

this is animation transition that original come from guy name thepsyntyst that not really work to s plus so i change it with combo to make it work.
1.open zip themer
2.select option>update edify>
do option 2>download to update script
3.do option 1 >browse flashable file that your rom come from >select configure
4.select back>select theme>browse attach zip file Up_Downvortexrubik.zip>select built it
5.select yes for undo zip ..you can revert back if dont like it
6.reboot recovery>flash zip file that u built in internal sd.

you need to use wifi or data to update the script..
for the browse file you need to choose your custom rom flashable zip..example your rom is cranium then you must browse cranium zip then select configure..

You can use any custom rom.zip that is based on kq7 like simplistic 1.0 made by dutch.ly

I have almost the same problem and I`m using Crybernation beta 2 rom. The problem comes because zip I used to update Edify for 9001 (crybernation beta2) has aroma installer in it ... and the flashing theme zip tryies to open aroma 1`st instead of pushing framework to it`s place
So for him I would say to update edify using option 2 by choosing a clean ROM zip package with no much modification to framework.

Option 1 and browse sd for zip of rom you have flashed and using now. Restart app then you should have edify for 9001

to update edify, use option1 and browse the zip with deodexed files, the edify should update from there since it`s a flashable zip and it has framework inside it
noob question, but nowhere is explained. What is this for? How can i use it?

How to create a default Gallery QuickPics:
1. Download QuickPics below,
2. Ektract application "QuickPic" using winrar,
3. To the folder "lib\armeabi" and copy the file name "libqpicjni82.so", after that, you paste the rom which you wish to use, to the folder "system\lib".
4. Copy of the application "QuickPic" in "system\app". done!
5. Archive want the flash rom .zip!
6. Paste Rom on your sdcard, Install via CWM ...
7. Enjoy!!!

gallery3d not smooth, I delete gallery3d
without any "libqpicjni82.so" quickpics force close, you go to the folder quickpic.apk and to folder "lib\armeabi\libqpicjni82.so" and copy file name "libqpicjni82.so" paste in "system\lib"
enjoy!!!
Simply by putting Quicpic apk in the system folder does not help since there are FC errors.
For those who find the tutorial a bit complicated, just install the apk in your phone... (dont flashor anything). Just install it as a normal application

no bro, this tutorial is not to install the application as usual. but, this tutorial for rom before the flashing, to create a default gallery quickpic!!!

Simple, you flash the rom, see whether the use quickpic or gallery3d?
with this tutorial, you build rom,
when you see the flash you use quickpics
