Transition Animations custom blend (with video)

Taken from here. I spent several hours today along with Idkwhothatis123 (from xda here ) blending fold, fly-in and bounce to get it how we liked it I'll make an flashable zip for people upon request because everyones framework will be different with themes/roms etc.
this is a link to a zipped anim folder you can replace by
This is no longer necessary unless you would rather use adb. there is a metamorph file attatched download that and put on the root of your sd and download metamorph from the market its free
Code:
adb shell
# mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
#exit
adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk
Then open up the res.apk with your choice archive manager. Replace the /framework-res.apk/res/anim folder with the one I've provided.
Reboot into recovery and
Code:

adb push yoursdk/tools/framework-res.apk /system/framework/

I've been trying to get the fade in/out animations from aosp to work with sense, but it won't seem to work.
Any suggestions?

I am a N1 user with MIUI ROM..
Can you give me those files only(from anim folder) which you have modified? If I replace the whole folder, then it stucks on bootloop..
Also the lockscreen of MIUI is different, so please dont give me the files which has animations for the lockscreen..

I downloaded the attached file(4 mb) and extracted only the anim folder from it and replaced it..
But then it stuck in bootloop..

how can i use this so that it doesnt break my theme

With MetaMorph, it is working.. Dont know what was the problem earlier with flashing..

I would love a flashable zip.. Im not running any themes but i am using MIUI v0.11.5 test build on an EVO.. Thanks so much!!

extract the rar.
select pick existing theme
navigate to the xml included

Watched the video, installed with metamorph, had to install androzip, rebooted and immediately wet myself.
Freaking awesome. I installed myn's(?) But the animations were annoying.
These somehow aren't and have so much eye candy my left eye is now in a diabetic coma!

Can't flash UOTKITCHEN? **Workaround**

I got a workaround!
It works on CWM 3 and also confirmed it works on CWM 2 .
But if you also having problems with flashing the generated .zip file and nothing happend after reboot this fix is for YOU!
Oke what you need to do is generate a .zip file with your needs with the UOT Kitchen. When you got your .zip file download mine "update.zip".
Now you have both the .zip files, you need to extract them.
After they are extracted put the framework-res.apk from the generated .zip file (ít's in the framework folder) in the framework folder of the extracted update.zip.
Now you can just make a .zip file again of the extracted update.zip with the framework-res.apk in it.
Put it on your SD-Card and flash it in CWM 3 or 2 and see the results!

Well some people (like me) got the problem that after creating a .zip file with UOTkitchen nothing changes after flashing it.

Just finished cooking a framework-res at UOT, it's downloading at 0.7 KB/s...??!!! WTF? Lucky it's only a small file!!

changed the update scripts. something wrong with it.

Not working for me although I’ve creating ZIP file as per OP instruction. After I flash the newly created zip file with framework-res.apk inside framework folder, is says "Update Complete", however when the phone restarts, theme I have created has not been applied.
Do I have to sign my zip file?
FYI:
ROM: LeeDroid 2.0.0 with Kernel 2.0.6
Recovery: CWM v3.0.0.6
Theme: MaxDroid v1.0.4 (to create OUT, I used “framework-res.apk” from this theme)

You need to extract the update.zip and put the newly created framework-res.apk from the .zip of the UOTKITCHEN in the framework folder.
After that zip it again. So when it's finished zipping and you open it you see 2 folders: framework and META-INF. Then it should be fine.
Now boot in CWM and choose zip from SD card and install it!

Allright! that's good! Will change the 1st post so it's also compatible with CWM2

Guys, I flashed UOT cooked zip on Sunday - didn't work (nothing changed after reboot)
Today I cooked exactly same modifications, flashed zip, and it worked like a charm.
So maybe UOT works for now, and this workaround is not needed. But thanks anyway for this fix.
(Running CM7 #4, flashed circle battery type E, nothing else)

That’s exactly what I did.
Used 7-Zip and WinRAR
Created a new UOT (UOT-ZC-02-22-18-36-2.zip) but still the same problem.

Victoryo, you're a legend. This was bugging me for a few days but your fix worked perfectly.
Just cooked and flashed two different ones I had waiting to try out. Got the new Type O HoneyComb battery and apparently the notification Icons too although can't see much difference lol! Battery is nice though

From the /system/framework/ folder. You need root to access it.

I have deodexed rom but kitchen should work with odexed roms also.

Default options are fine - you can't flash the zip anyway.

Get the apks from the generated UOT zip and copy them to your phone (for example with adb).

@Blumdum: I have got an odexed phone and it worked fine. You just have to extract the apk-files from the cookek-zip-file and overwrite the old ones.

So do not flash the files provided by uot kitchen. Extract the apk-files out of the kitchen-file instead.

No, just use root explorer (or something like that) to copy the cooked uot-kitchen-files into the original folders.

Yes, framework-res.apk belongs to this folder (you should got the original file for cooking in uot-kitchen from there).
The SystemUI.apk belongs to the /system/app/ folder.

there is one point in their how to:
WORKAROUND for recovery error (Status 0):
1. Unzip your ROM and find
META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary file
2. Put this file in the UOT zip (overriding UOT's file)

this file is included in the Root-i9001-Signed.zip of Keksflip

[Bootanimation] Iphone's jailbreak bootanimation(xrecovery zip uploaded)

Hi all
I am quite new to theming and i have just created this bootanimation from the iphone's one. So i was thinking of sharing it here.
Instruction
1) Download the bootanimation.zip
2) Take a backup of your current bootanimation.zip in \system\media
3) Copy the new zip file and paste in \system\media using root explorer
4) Reboot and enjoy the new theme
or just flash Iphone_Jailbroken_boot.zip through xrecovery

I still a newbie and i am not sure how to do a recovery zip. This zip here can not be flash thru xerecovery but u can still follow the same procedure even if u are on stock kernel. Remember to take a backup for your bootanimation.zip first in case anything goes wrong.

No you cant use xrecovery to flash this coz this is not a flashable zip. You have to manually put it in the system/media folder. Backup original before you put this one.

Can you simply add my zip to the OP please, save others coming all the way down to my post or link my post to the op so they can find the zip easier, save yourself the stress of repeating and save them the stress of looking please?

hmmmm...they really look nice in the screenshots but you really should say strictly for ICS roms in all of your flashable zip posts that require an ics rom because the way you post it makes it seem that thats the theme of them..or atleast thats how i saw it which is why i flashed on top of barebones now all i get is a blank screen(yes i can get into recovery) was wondering if you or anyones else could make/share/show me a flashable zip with the original softkeys of cm7 because id rather not reflash the whole rom. please someone respond soon. (and of course my dumb a** didnt backup) or let me know if reflashing the rom will erase my settings or other misc. things ive changed.
well yea i just made a backup of my no screen showing and reflashed barebones which did reinstall/change certain things so im hoping a version of the softkey.zip for cm7 would help if i restored back then flashed that so hopefully someone will help me out soon :/

If you have the ROM on your sdcard and adb setup, you can adb pull /sdcard/wherever/the.zip is to your computer (or just go download the ROM) you can pull what you need from it and adb push the.apk to system/where/it/needs/to/go. Probably also need to adb shell chmod 644 path/to/the.apk and reboot.
I have already made special zip's for myself to use with zipthemer. the zip's only have the theme mod in them and the app will create a update.zip and a undo.zip from whatever ROM your on that you can flash in recovery. If the OP states he does not mind, I'll post them.

Just reflash your original ROM. I will edit the OP.

I'm not quite sure where or what APK it is that holds the soft keys if you could tell me where/what I could maybe try it.
And your special zip method thing sounds good if ima understanding correctly. From what I read are you saying that me flashing that will remove the last flashed item?

If you read what I edited you would see I already did that but id rather not go through all the work of removing and fine tuning the ROM again when I believe just reflashing a correct softkeys.zip will fix it.....I think....hope
