i just got my tf300t about a week ago. i am rooted. unlocked bootloader and i am running cleanrom. i would like to update to the 4.2 bootloader so i have more rom options but cant for the life of find how to do it. i tried the asus website and there was no update for my sku. which is jr. anyhelp?

Not rooted either. No ota in Canada yet but downloaded .26 on the Asus support site and installed the update with no problems. .29 is not up on their website yet.

i think you have to downgrade the firmware if you are on the latest firmware to 29

I should clarify. My previous post is correct if you upgraded to jellybean. If you are still on ICS, you can root using the debugfs method found in the Dev section. You can do this on v30 for the t and v40 of the tg.

How to unlock the boot loader on JB? On the Asus site it says "(Only works with TF700T ICS OS)." It also works in JB? Or there another way to unlock it?
This has been discussed about a million times already, but the unlock tool works just fine on Jelly Bean...

My mom has a bone stock tf300t. When she got the tablet it came with 4.1 and everything was fine. After she upgraded it to 4.2.1 the touch screen stopped working. If i were to unlock it and downgrade it to 4.1 do you think the touch screen would work again?

Unlikely. Is the unit still under warranty? If so, you may want to explore getting it fixed under that before you unlock it and void the warranty. But, I don't think you need to unlock to downgrade to 4.1. There is an existing thread with details on that.
In any case, how can you even run the unlock tool app if the screen doesn't work?

Just so everyone is aware I successfully downgraded her tablet to get the touch screen to work again. So if you have that problem and are out of warranty it may be a good option instead of paying.

And it's talking about installing nvflash on nexus7,... etc and also on tf300t and it states:

Nexus 7 (2012): 4.13
Support on bootloader 10.6.1.15.3? does this mean it just got updated or is it a mistake or something?

Doesn't look like one to me, as they have each model's file listed separately. I'll be testing this shortly on my spare to see if it works and report back. Stay tuned.
