Hello, is there a way in which I can "really" say no to updates in Google Play Store? In fact, I have an app (Poweramp) that I wish to use it in a specific version without updating it regularly. Therefore, I decide to detach it from Play Store in Titanium Backup. However, when I go to Play Store, when I search Poweramp, I can still see that there is an option in which I can update it. So, I can not see that how the detach from Play Store (market) option made the change. Am I doing anything wrong or does it have an alternative way to do it? Thanks. Mmm.. I should update my Titanium Backup app since it has been a while that I am using it and way before the Play Store 4.0 was launched...
You can turn auto-update off, so you can choose which apps to update

Ok with play services, and the play store running my nexus 4 hits 116 degrees Fahrenheit. I uninstalled play services, and installed a play services blocker so it couldn't be force loaded onto my phone. But I still had the Problem cuz the play store tries to re-install it in the background. So if I freeze the play store, everything is fine. Is there a different way to go about this so I don't have to freeze anything, and have to unfreeze the play store everytime I want to use it? Such as through the terminal, etc? Thanks.

Go to option the setting and apps manager. Highlight to the playstore and try uninstal updates. But before, make sure the clear data and clear cache button is appearing. Click them first before uninstalling update
Same how to the google service.
Reeboot
Might it help..
If no change. Maybe i will give you an egg and cook on that heat.

There is no change, I've already tries that. I used lucky patcher to keep google play from updating past 3.10.

No any option. Except you flash to custom rom and get new fresh gapps (playstore included)

Location services
Disallow Google from tracking your location and turn off GPS when you don't need it.
I've found that when google location services were running, any time I opened a google app it would get hot, as it was activating the GPS on my tablet.

So what do you think would work better, using the privacy guard feature for all the GApps, or I could use lucky patcher and disable all the location permissions?
I know lucky patcher is warez, but I'm not using it for bad intentions.

Not familiar with lucky patcher. I just turned off sync with all google apps except G+ and Gmail, and unchecked the option to allow it to track my location in the account settings. Then I turned off GPS. I have limited use for GPS, so only keep it on when I need to use it.
Lucky patcher is an app that is considered a "ware" on XDA because of some of some of the things it can do. But it installs a modified play store of any version that does not auto update itself in the background, I use play store 3.10. Every google app on my phone is frozen. And it's still overheating when I unfreeze the play store, because it's trying time re install google play services. I have a google services blocker app that had the same signature as the real google play services. So when I unfreeze the play store, it repeatedly tries to install the real one, but can't, which causes it to over heat. I'd like to know if there is a way to stop this??

So there's those hardware restrictions what claim the app is incompatible with my phone even tho they actually work pretty well with it. Are there any other ways to bypass that restriction than downloading the apk manually from play store. like something with xposed or some modded play store what just shows all the apps available
Hello,
please check this thread:
Your Google Play Store is blocked? Search/request your app here!
I have a weird need. I want google play services but no access to the play store. I discovered thorught that the play services "require" the google play store to be installed for the play services to work. So I wanted to know if their is some sort of fake play store apk that I can install that will allow the play services to work without the play store?
Any other ideas would be appreciated.
I am on a moto e4 qualcomm stock rooted. And I dont have a way to enable signature spoofing since its odexed.
I need the same. Google play services and full functionality with Gmail, Maps etc, without PlayStore. Any ideas?
I found something called "FakeStore", which simulates the existence of Play Store, however I have installed it in replacement of PlayStore, but applications such as Gmail and Notes still do not work, just as if PlayStore did not exist.
I'm still investigating.
More.
The FakeStore needs a patch called "FAKE_PACKAGE_SIGNATURE" to work.
This is the link of that patch, but I can not find a way to implement it, if someone can shed some light it would be appreciated.

Use fake store from MicroG download site.
You can use Aurora Store if you want access to playstore packages without using "Don't be evil".
Need some fake store spoofer to let apps think there is a playstore install for some of thoughs dependent apps that rely so much on daddy. So we can just get on with it.
Just Google Play Services? What about Play Store and Play Protect?
Are there any adventages or disadventages in putting normal apps on it, e.g. Discord or Instagram?
What are you trying to achieve? You don't need to put any apps on the denylist.
Play Services (alongside with Play Store, but not in every case) is necessary to be put on the denylist in order to download some apps, like Netflix or Revolut.
Some apps can be downloaded without Play Services being on the denylist, but will not work unless you put them on the list as well (many banking apps (Revolut), but also McDonald's app, interesting example).
It's a shame the denylist works on a blacklist logic instead of whitelist, but oh well.
TL;DR: If an app won't work because of root, put it on the denylist, clear all data & cache, restart it, and you're all set.

I mean as "base apps" so that android works like usual, updates, etc
naturally youd need to put new user app on that that complains about root.
So play store and play services it is? thanks!

Updates you'll get either way, but for "access" to all apps in the Play Store, I think it's just Play Services and the store itself.
