A friend of mine managed to lock his phone after too many pattern attempts. He doesnt remember the answer to the secret question nor does he remember his google account. What can he do? He doesnt mind if his files are deleted in the process. He doesnt have internet, thats why he isnt asking himself. Thank you in advance.

He must to flash ftf file of rom which he use with flashtool, and uncheck "delete data"! If he will check that he will lose all his data! That's the only solution!
I was searching to find another solution and i found a really easy one. I just downloaded pc companion and from the support zone clicked software update and then repair. Thanks anyways.

So I decide to unroot it, but I already deleted my some in-built apps without doing backup of them :crying:. I have tried every thing that I could do to bring my phone to stock and claim warranty , but I was not able to succeed in any method that I tried..
Following are the methods which I tried to reset my phone and to bring it to stock-
1- done factory reset - (not worked)
2- try to reset using PC Companion but now PC Companion is not detecting my phone
3- At the end I thought of fixing this issue using FLASH TOOL , I have the new Android 4.2.2 16.0.B.2.6 firmware.ftf update of Xperia C, but when I tried to install it using the flashtool, it also not working at all. When ever I starts flashing it getting abort again and again... :crying:

Root your phone definitely voids warranty and unrooting brings it back, only if the members of service center don't find that u have rooted your phone ...
and I want to sent my phone to service center so that I can find out that my my phone's warranty is still claimable or not. and if claimable they I can get my phone in way it was 1 day of purchase ...
And frankly saying I don't remember that which In-built software I delete when I rooted my phone, so please paste here all the apps which are in system folder, or tell me how can I transfer them in system folder again, Do I need to root my phone again.. thanks..

Thanks for your reply :fingers-crossed:
But, @chauhanjayc is absolutely Rite, Dial *#*#7378423#*#* and do customization reset is exactly the same of doing factory reset of your cell phone, as I have removed my some system apps so they are removed form the system of my phone, so factory rest or Dial *#*#7378423#*#* and do customization reset will not bring them back , but I appreciate your reply:fingers-crossed:

this one is for those who are stuck at sony logo (bootloop)
and sony comp. is for those who are able to boot
basically this one is a official flash tool and pc comp. is a sony pc kit having some of extra features....
Thanks. So i could either use them to repair my xperia if i want to go back to stock.

yap
matter is what is the condition of your phone
use this tools accordingly
now one major benefit of pc comp. is even if you are upgrading or repairing your phone it will keep you phone on until the software download finishes ,
where in sony update service will do ask you to connect you phone in flash mode so no way you can use your phone while software is downloading...

I have htc desire 620 g i have deleted some system apps after rooting my phone. Can you help me to get my system apps to get the warranty back. Please help
Hi, can someone please help me
I rooted my phone like 2 weeks ago, the sounds were perfectly fine until I noticed that it became lower yesterday.
I don't know what happened. It was not dropped nor got wet. The volume suddenly became lower
I think it's the lower speaker.
It's fine when I use my earphones. I also tried to max all the volume thingy in settings.
Can someone help me to fix it?

UPDATED: I've been trying to figure out my phone's problem for the past weeks. I even started a thread about it [you can find it here].
I found out that the problem is the right channel or the bottom speaker.
I've been looking around and found out that some experienced the same.. No one said anything about solutions and what not.
Anyone here experiencing the same problem? If yes, did you do anything to be able to fix it?
I tried factory reset and flashing my phone. Nothing friggin happen.
I wanna know if I could resolve it on my own before I send it to the shop for service >.< (which is friggin far from me).

Hmm.. I can only advice few things.. But you should backup your stuff and have long process.
1. Factory reset as first measure.
2. Use PCC to repair your phone
3. Flash other firmware
If it is software it will sort our by this, if it is hardware, then mate you need to send it to Sony center.

Hi all !
My dad never use is mobile phone (xperia XZ), but he need to move with this work at the end of the month.
First : He forgot the patern of the lockscreen.
So I see that if we try 30 times, the phone will be erase.
As he don't have any important data on the phone, I try to reset like this.
Second issue ^^ the phone ask me a google account, I ask to my dad if he already has a account, he tell me not, if he already have install some apps? he tell me yes (so he has an account but don't know the adress or password or anything :good: )
So I think that I just need to create an account and that good.. but the phone ask me the google account that already has been synchronize with the phone...
Any solution to totally reset?
Any possiblity to unlock the bootloader and do a wipe all ?
Thanks in advance !
Do a total wipe with Xperia Companion or Flashtool.

I think after Flashtool wipe, you'll still need to enter the Google account used previously.

No, there's no google account needed if you flash the entire system.
Sony companion repair should work. But then, you have to install all apps again.
Thanks for your answer !
Sony companion doesn't work, it ask me the google account too
I will come back at my parent's house cause I couldn't test flash tool (My parent don't have computer and I have a macbook, so i need to install windows by bootcamp)
I read that flashtool need to be root or to have USB debug enabled. But I don't have acces to the smartphone menu... does this will cause some issue ?
Hello there,
Unfortunately I deleted an important video from my Verizon note 5. I been trying to recover the video for two days but no luck. I tried Samsung Data recovery, dr.fone, Recuva, and many different software. I came to the conclusion it's not possible without rooting my device which I would if I know how,but from what I read there was no successful way to root the Verizon version. Any idea, or a recommendation would be really appreciated.
Thank you!!

It's probably to late without having some sophisticated software recovery tools and taking the phone apart.. I guess if it was mine, I'd create a backup of everything I needed and then do a factory reset and when it asks to restore thing's after the reset tap yes and hope that it did back it up to your Google account and save it but I really think it's to late. Make sure you sign back in with the correct(same) Google account. Before doing any factory reset make sure OEM unlock is ENABLED in developer settings!!

It's could be to late because the memory blocks that it was stored on could have been overwritten already by now and that makes it to late it's gone and something else is in it's place.. That's why I said maybe your Google account might have backed it up so you can email Google and see what they say about it..

Thanks a lot for your try to help. It was not backed to the cloud for sure because it was deleted right after it was recorded. Do you think there is still any chance to recover it by the factory rest method? Also, Is there any software I can purchase to help ?

Probably not.. You can ask around but a lot of the software or apps people sell don't do what they say they can do but I would search around and try to read reviews on some of the applications because other people will tell you whether they've had any luck or not but I would look around before the factory reset because if you do that you're definitely overwriting the memory blocks for sure!!
Still looking for some way to recover the file but no luck. Didn't use the phone ever since.
I wonder if you have set up to sync before. If yes, maybe you can check out in the trash of Google Drive. It is allowed to recover deleted data within 60 days. Or you can try FORecovery to recover your data, which I have used before. As I know, it's have nothing to do with device version while the software identifying and rooting your phone. Anyway, just take a try. Hope this is not too late for you.

If the video is super important and you absolutely have to have it you should take it a recovery specialist and don't download or put anything else on the phone because it can overwrite the memory blocks.. Usually when you delete something the system just marks the memory blocks as reusable and able to be overwritten but if you don't do anything to cause it to be overwritten it's possible that it's still just sitting in the memory blocks and you just can't see it..
I searched the forum for this and maybe I missed something but I can't find help anywhere.
My mother recently passed and we're trying to crack open her LG Velvet. She was very secretive about passwords and such and I can't break passed her finger pattern lock screen. Everything I've found says I can wipe her phone clean and it'll be clear but we need in to access her information and photos, we don't know what details she kept on her phone so we desperately need in. Does anyone know a way we can get passed the lock screen without erasing data? We've tried 55 times all the patterns we think she used but it's so far to no avail. We have T-Mobile, of which I called. They can't help so they sent me to LG and they can't help.
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!
Id u can get an custom recovery installed on that go to /Data/system/ and erase all files with lockscreen name on it and it would remove the pattern
