[Q] No responding - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone
I have had my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 for only a week. Yesterday I was surfing the web on it, and suddenly the screen would not respond at any of mycommands. I have tried as well to switch it off but still no success. Today it switched off the screen. I have tried to switch it on, but still nothing would happen. As a guide I have used the video on youtube which is called Hard reset Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. I REPEAT THAT IT DOES NOT RESPOND TO ANY OF THE BUTTONS, INCLUDING POWER AND VOLUME ONES. Can anyone help me out please? Any information or respond would be much appreciated !

Try holding the power button for 30 seconds. Other than that, you might have to access it through the usb port. Try connecting your computer to it via usb and see what happens.

Nexus S with a fullbrick?

Hi all,
I've a Samsung Nexus S here from a friend of me.
The phone was rooted and flashed with Cyanogenmod 10.1. Without any special action the phone doesn't power on again after a reboot (during a software update CM10.1). There's nothing. Only a black screen. No lights! Nothing...
I've tried to power on it for several times. I've tried to start it into the download mode and the fastboot mode. But only a black screen. My computers Mac, Linux, Windows are detecting nothing when I'm connecting them to the phone.
Do you've any ideas for unbrick this nexus s?
regards
Marco

That's exactly what I'm working on right now.. Let's start with the basics.. Do you have a good cable (tested with other micro-usb devices?)? If so, on Linux, under terminal, does the lsusb command show any Samsung devices while connected?
Hi,
I have a similar problem.
My Nexus S suffers from the power button bug with the power button occasionally not working. When I turned it off today (using the terminal as I always do) it shut down as normal. However, when I tried to start it again it, it would not boot. When I press the power button (it usually works to start the phone, it just does not work within the recovery / OS), the backlight turns on but there is no vibration and it does not proceed to the Google logo. Similarly if I try to start it using the charger, the backlight turns on but it does not proceed from there.
Linux does not recognise the device, i.e. neither dmesg nor lsusb show any output. Therefore I cannot use the Unbrickable Resurrection tool.
Would doing that be helpful?

I cannot enter Fastboot or Download mode. Again, only the backlight turns on.
Is it a hardware fault?
Has anyone had similar problems?
Thanks.
Yes, it will if yours is a i9020a or t. BUT you need a VERY steady hand and PROPER soldering equipment.. I had mine in Dev mode but it wasn't flashing anything, so I thought I didn't do something right, took it all back apart, and 20 mins and a popped micro resistor (from too much heat from the soldering wand) later, I had a completely dead phone.. So if you attempt it, be very careful.. If you don't feel comfortable you can do it, I would definitely find someone who can..

[Q] Galaxy P3110 keep restarting

Hillo~
My Samsung Galaxy P3110 suddenly keeps restarting itself 2 weeks ago until now.
I did hard reset using POWER button + VOLUMN UP button, even it says everything was wiped, but when the table get started, everything are still there, even my passwords and wallpapers.
Then it will start itself again. It does it about 10 - 20 seconds after it started.
When I manually removed widgets, uninstall apps, after it restarts, they are still there.
I did used odin and follow some instructions I found on the internet, even it says "PASS", but in real, it doesn't work for anything, the problem is still there.
My tablet is running under CyanogenMod.
Is there anyone can help me with this?
I will be so much appreciate if you guys can help me fix the problem.
Thankz in advance!

3. Power button + volume down at the same time to no avail,
4. Power button + home + volume down at the same time to no avail.
5. Power button + home + volume up at the same time to no avail.
6. Tried to connect it via usb cable to 4 different PCs - nothing happens.
7. Reset button... nothing...
8 I put many sd booteable linux, and sboot.bin different and no avail, with phoenix card don't work because rom is zip, not img.
Only when I plug in the charger, there is green light on and nothing happens.
It is just dead.
I cant update the firmware cause its not recognized by any computer... (Ive tried linux, xp, 7 and osx...)
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. There is absolutely nothing on XDA about your device. But it sure sounds like it's a hardware issue. I'd claim your warranty if you have it.
thank you very much for your reply. But a year ago I was broke. They gave me the bad and after much demand, two months to be exact, they changed me it took six months to send it to me. Then only lasted a month, during which I never worked properly turned off in less than an hour, discharging all the drums, and several restarts at that time. Try to communicate with the manufacturer and your website does not work then searching the internet found a rom, and trying to flash, was shut down during the process, I never worked. since I'm trying to fix it. I keep every two months and come back to find information, and so took a year. It has a Samsung Exynos 5410 processor and not meeting the information. As I have been reading the not light and not react is because it has incomplete software and the only way to make it work is forcing her to not read or do not take into account what you already have, that as achieved by a bridge but do not even where or how. Excuse my English, I use a translator.

[Completed] [Q] Sprint Galaxy S5 Sport Brick? Bootloop.

I wanted to solve this problem on my own but after almost 6 hours I just can't figure it out. Its either totally bricked or I'm just missing something simple. I've seen many people complain about this problem but none of them seem to have had the same problem I do. Thing is I was just really starting to love the way I had the phone set up. DAMN!
I used this thread to root: (CF)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s5/help/q-root-galaxy-s5-sport-sm-860p-t2859473
SPRINT GALAXY S5 SPORT SM-G860P
Android 4.4
I had CW recovery installed
(wish I had more info about the software)
Here's whats happening:
START
(vibrate)
RECOVERY BOOTING...
RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Set Warranty Bit : recovery
(Also on Screen are the logos)
Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport
Powered by Android
This stays on for about 10 seconds.
Then blank screen (2 seconds)
(vibrate)
Screen still blank (2 seconds)
REPEAT (Auto reboot and goes back to start)
Other notes:
Trying to boot into recovery (home+vol up+power) Nothing Happens
Try to power off and nothing happens.
Pulled battery, did the 30 sec and restarted no change.
I have all updated usb drivers.
Odin will not see the device because its not on long enough. (Kies didn't see it either.)
Plug into PC via usb - Nothing Happens, device doesn't even show up because its not on long enough (win 8.1 and 7)
Pull battery to get it to stop, once battery goes back in, it auto starts again.
I TRIED AS MANY SD CARD / BATTERY/USB CABLE/POWER CABLE/BATTERY PULL/BUTTON COMBINATIONS AS I COULD FIND ONLINE AND THEN SOME. No Luck with anything.
I know this isn't a "help desk" I just wanted to give as much info as possible hoping to help you help me!
Please point me in the right direction.
Thanks!
Try to hard-reset your phone. There is a button combination for that., search it over the internet.
Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately the hard reset combo does nothing. I've tried every button combination that I have been able to find with no luck. Factory reset, hard reset, etc. etc. no luck. I've also searched for a possible "hidden" button underneath the back cover or something of the like...nothing.
hmmmm
At least, it is not hard-bricked. So there is hope.
Have you checked if it is entering the download mode? If not, then try it. You can use this mode to flash file via the PC.
Check this link
It worked! Obviously I didn't search or try as many things as I thought I did. : / I can't thank you enough! wow. Amazing!

[Completed] Black screen on samsung galaxy tab 4 problem

Ok so i have my sisters samsung galaxy tab4 ( sm-t230nu ) which she brought to me today.
Her screen went black, lights up and all but it stays black in color. Up down volume buttons work and u can hear them working, power button works, turns screen on and off, TOUCH SCREEN WORKS, on certain areas u can hear the noise it makes when u tap on the screen and apps. I pressed the power button alone for it to restart, it restarts but does not show samsung tab logo or anything at all just lit up black screen. I even went on YouTube to memorize the hard reset sequence of buttons u have to press in order to complete the reset and i did manage to hard reset. But screen is still booting up on a lit black screen. I removed the back cover, unplugged the battery and tried booting it up and still nothing. BTW its full factory, no root roms or anything of the sort. I need help on what could be the problem. Only thing i believe might have caused this was a recent update on the system. My sister sais a few days ago it gave her a notification about it and she clicked on yes. I dont know what version of android it had nor which it had updated to. Please help. Tablet is not that old. Thanks. If anything email me directly at [email protected] thanks
Hello, and welcome to XDA Assist! The best thing to do would be to register and ask your question here: Galaxy Tab 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting. There will be experts there who can give you advice. You may have to reflash stock firmware to get the tab working again...
