[Q] Bluetooth / Qstarz GPS 818XT issue - LG Optimus 3D

Hello everyone!
I have an issue with O3D's bluetooth and BT GPS receiver Qstarz 818XT... I can pair the GPS but can't use for some reason - using Gingerbread / Promethius... I've tried many kernels (stock, promethius v1.5+, no idea!,...) but unfortunately without any success. ...also tried stock V21A,V21E.
Other applications such as the Trackmaster simply won't work at all (Bluetooth GPS external app throws error: "Connection Failed - socket failed to connect"). All other bluetooth devices are working like a charm. Also, under ICS (V30A), only Racechrono works! Any thoughts how to debug such an issue?
In this video you can see with Desire HD, working without any problems...

... and here is my O3D (take a look at the indicators on the GPS, it seems the phone wants to communicate but something goes wrong)

Thanks guys!

[Q] Bluetooth in car - Eclair/Froyo on Desire

Have a Citroen Bluetooth car radio (Blaupunkt) and was using that with a WM6 device. Lots of problems until I loaded Jetware which made it rock solid. Dumped the WM phone - now using a Android HTC (Desire).
Very unreliable bluetooth on Eclair - never solid and directory (phonebook) always an issue. Just switched to Froyo (Leedroid) hoping it would fix the issue. No such luck - most of time connects (pairing works fine) but as soon as I allow access from the car radio to the phone (to read phonebook) things go south.
Was wondering if I'm alone in this or if there is a fix for it. Ideal would be to have Jetware on Android - one great feature it has is that it can limit the phonebook transfer to a specific category - which is much more usefull then pushing the entire 500+ entries to the car.
Any help appriciated.
thnx
Hi, I have same issue with Ford S-max (2007), still did not find any help.

[Q] External GPS head on an Desire

Hi all
Of course, I know that Htc Desire has got it's own Gps head but i've read several times that it will suck the battery damn quickly...
I was wondering, instead of this inernal GPS head, would it be more interesting, in term of battery life, to use a Bluetooth (BT ) connection to an external head...
I've tried it...No problem to have the external head ( Holux GPSslim236 ) beeing recognaized and paired...but it fails to connect...and I have no idea what it missing
In a previous life, when I was using my Windows Mobile PDA, in order to connect such a head, I had to provide a specific Com8 port, along with a SPP service to the BT...
so, two quickies..
1) Has that been already tested ?
2) Successfull i.e connected ?
Thks for having read all that
Haven't tried it yet, but I believe the WhereYouGo application has support for external Bluetooth devices. Might want to give it a try
There are a few app for this:
- Bluetooth GPS
- Bluetooth GPS Provider
- Bluetooth GPS Mouse
- Bluetooth GPS For Android
....
Some have been tested on this blog: AndroGeoid.

[Q] Bluetooth Issues

Does anyone have problems connecting their Desire S to Bluetooth devices?
My phone seems to pair to my Bluetooth hands free kit but no connection actually happens. The same situation for another Bluetooth kit i have and also my laptop!
I just upgraded from a normal Desire and it worked perfectly with all the devices.
I tried changing the radio and also upgraded the Rom from 1.28.401.1_Radio_20.28b.30.080 5U_38.03.02.11
to
1.47.401.4_Radio_20.28I.30.085 AU_3805.06.02.03
I have searched for solutions but have not found any on XDA
Might be that your bluetooth device is in a black list need to check, can yo utell what bluetooth device you have exactly?

My main Bluetooth device is a Merlin Car Mirror Kit V2.
When connected and properly paired it should 'beep' twice, but now it just connects and the phone says its paired. When you make a call it shows it is dialling but no sound comes through both ways.

[Q] Suggest a ROM for bluetooth audio and Wiimote support??

What I'm looking for is a custom ROM that will let my Infuse 4g connect to a Wiimote so I can use it for emulators. I've tried CM7.2, and it allows the connection, but the bluetooth connections to headphones and speakers is completely awful. I use bluetooth all the time so this doesn't work. I've also tried Zeus and R3velation too, and the bluetooth works fine, but they can't connect a Wiimote. I read somewhere that it has something to do with the bluetooth stack, but I honestly don't know what that means.
Does anybody know of a custom ROM that has working bluetooth audio and the proper stack to allow Wiimote connection?
Of course it needs to be stable and have the basic functionalities.
Thanks for any help!
I am sorry to say that our phones biggest weakness seem to be the bluetooth as I wanated to do this also and it did not work. I even brought a small bluetooth keyboard to try to do the same thing and I could not get it to work.
