Can you charge the phone when it's off with this one?
edit: Yes the phone is charging now when it's off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hell yeah, since i had a Xperia X10 i was like "i must have ROM Manager" but it was not compatible with the X10
I turned phone off and the orange LED is normal just like before S-OFF
NEW clockwork v4.0.1.5 IS in the Sensation S-off guide, you can download pg58img.zip from there
reboot into botloader, let it flash and it wil auto install the new recovery for you.
OP maybe you could put that in post 1 too

Download, run, and choose the option 'Flash ClockWorkMod Recovery'. It should ask you to confirm if the phone model is the HTC Sensation

If I were you I would make sure I am running a custom ROM (this will be rooted properly). If you already are, backup up all your files, do a super wipe, and try installing another custom ROM.
Also make sure your WiFi is turned on whenever using ROM manager.

Thumbs down, easier to flash it with ROM manager, no need to reboot into bootloader and all.....sorry, but you need to quit trying to steer every topic that comes up to your sticky rookie, can you please add that to your op.......

Thanks for the thread. I just went into RM and asked to flash the current recovery and that prompted me to choose the phone to flash and only the HTC Sensation was listed so that was easy peasy. I hit that, let RM flash the current recovery and during that the SU asked for root permission which I granted of course (this with the window to choose the phone was still up). When I noticed the background bar on top was done, I hit HTC Sensation in the pop up window again and it gave me a successful message.
I am now backing up my current ROM now (CoreDroid).

Hello, can any one tell me how to Temp root HTC ICS Stock rom with S-on?I just want to push apps to system but when I try to access ADB Root,
I got the following error: adbd cannot run as root in production builds
Have you tried HTC Quick Root Toolkit? I saw Desire U in the supported list? Please let me know if it works or not
http://androidrootboot.wordpress.com/2013/06/03/root-any-htc-android-phone-or-tablet/
Thank you!
Thank you but it doesn't works to me,Can I flash boot.img in S-on and Bootloader locked?

2. flash it Using FastBoot.
3.Then Restart Ur desire u in Bootloader then select recovery.
4. Wait For a Mins.
5. Flash any Superuser App Using Recovery.
Smile... Ur Desire u Is rooted...
I tried on My Desire u And its Working Perfactly...
some one have stock boot.img and recovery.img of this device
ok-i build a cwm recovery for t327e. after flash recovery with fastboot. you copy superuser to sdcard and go to recovery to flash it
my recovery link in here http://www.mediafire.com/download/txf2dyzjddfdyvc/t327e-recovery-cwm.img
now. some one build new rom for desire U.ok
I rooted my htc desire hd and had superuser on it, I removed the programs off my phone that I didn;t want. Later on I decided to change to superuser elite. However I didn't realise that I need to have the Elite running on my phone before I uninstalled SU. Not paying particular attention to the warning meassages I uninstalled it and found to my horror that I had lost root. I have been unable to regain root and I don't know why that is but I did a factory reset and found Id lost internet. As my technical abilities are limited (I could kick myself) I'm struggling to know what to to with the phone. I realise this will take some sorting out if I haven't bricked it in my ignorance.
Thanks for any help
If you have a custom recovery like CWM or 4ext then download supersu.zip from here : http://download.chainfire.eu/351/
Put the zip in your sdcard go to recovery and install zip ...then reboot ...

No problem..also you might need to update the SU binary once you open superSU from App drawer (you only have to do it once)
Do let me know if it works.
...If you are feeling a bit generous...then there is a thanks button waiting to be pressed
Hi Guys
First Build of CWM for htc desire 820
they are 2 methods
Flash this using stock recovery
http://d-h.st/jMh
Intructions :
1) download and locate this in root of your mobile
2) go to recovery
3) choose flash update.zip
4) reboot and Flash!
Don't use TWRP recovery and flash this
Soon twrp version will be there
Under Testing , use at own risk
Any one tested it?
Did it work for anyone?
