Hi Guys
First Build of CWM for htc desire 820
they are 2 methods
Flash this using stock recovery
http://d-h.st/jMh
Intructions :
1) download and locate this in root of your mobile
2) go to recovery
3) choose flash update.zip
4) reboot and Flash!
Don't use TWRP recovery and flash this
Soon twrp version will be there
Under Testing , use at own risk
Any one tested it?
Did it work for anyone?

Hello. I am new to the HTC one x coming previously from an HTC inspire. I am with att. I followed the directions and unlocked the bootloader. I have been reading and noticed S-Off is still being worked on. I'm Confused on what my next step is to load a custom ROM. Sorry I know this has probably been answered but I'm still confused. Can I do the next set of steps without a computer and just do it from my phone? I downloaded an app called recovery manager not sure of that will help me out. Thanks for any help you guys can provide. I'm on 2.20 and 4.0.4 thanks again.

I think at that time after unlock of the bootloader you will need to install a recovery software the one we use is TWRP i would stick with 2.2.0.0 and install it thought goomanager that is avaliable though the play store.
Instructions : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1677447
To use goomanager I need to be rooted though right?I don't think I'm rooted. Farthest I have gotten so far is unlocking the bootloader. And I'm not sure what to do after that. I'm not sure if I can do the rest from my phone (which I hope I can). Thanks ks for your help.

Do you absolutely have to flash SuperSU to flash ROMs? Can you just go right from TWRP and flash a rooted ROM and be considered as "rooted"?
Thanks

You can just flash a custom ROM, which will have SuperSU or SU cooked in. Only need to flash SuperSU if you want to stay on stock ROM and have root.
you made your situation sound different. the steps i take is use my token, flash recovery, then flash a rom or supersu depending if i want a custom rom or keep using stock.

You have the evita?
Flash twrp 2.3.3.1 or 2.6 only correctly working versions. Usb mount works great on it

Yes and agree. First you neet to make sure your phone is HTC One XL/Rogers/AT&T One X.(LTE)
Then you can fastboot flash TWRP 2.3.3.1 or 2.6
They have mount option to allow you to access.
TWRP website: teamw.in/project/twrp2/99
It will tell you how to flash.
The wife just got the mini for att, I know it's early, but is there a way to get root yet?
Thanks!

This process unlocks the bootloader and NOT the network lock. You need to use a unlocking service to do this.

I unlocked and transferred the TWRP. Thanks a lot. But when I choose to boot into recovery from the boot loader, I just boot into the normal startscreen? Any ideas of where it went wrong?
Regards..

Install "Flashify" from the playstore You can also use it to flash the new recovery.img
Thank you so much
TWRP Manager (ROOT)
I used an app to replace CWM with TWRP
The app can also be used to prepare a flash and then make it execute with a reboot.
It is called TWRP Manager (ROOT)

read thish guide, step EXTRA1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631861
Extract the boot.img file from the ROM's zip file and flash it via adb after you have flashed the rom.
After the rom is flashed:
1) Reboot into the bootloader and go into fastboot
2) Connect your phone to your computer
3) Extract the boot.img file from the ROM
4) Open a command terminal in the folder where you've extracted the boot.img file by holding shift and right click, and clicking on "Open command window here".
5) Type
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
and press enter
6) Wait until you get an okay message, and then reboot your phone
Hope this helps.
