stolen nexus - Android General

hello
my nexus is stolen,I didn't install any app to track it,I only have the IMEI 351554050592543 could I track?
I also have xda premium installed on it,is it possible to track t for me from site admins?
thank you for helping

Practically NO, technically yes, but only police or your service provider can help you which is rare unless some importance is attached the phone.
Try your luck !

Try "plan b" from lookout on the web based play store. You can install it from the web play store and it will track its location. Good luck!

Why is the right door always locked?

Phone lost

Hello frnds urgent help needed , my phone lost galaxy ace its ringing but I can locate it is there any way I can locate it. itsringing please help me
Sent from my GT-S5360 using XDA
Samsung Dive , i tried it before , not bad , really can locate your phone if your phone in online mode
Some people just shouldn't own phones.
If you haven't setup an app like Samsung Drive or Seek Droid there is no way to locate it, unless you have friends who work for for your service provider or law enforcement.
There is an app called Plan B. You install it after youve lost your phone. you push it on your phone by logging in on google market. It really works. just remember to hurry while your battery is still good.

Using your computer, log in to the market. The new link for market is google play is play.google.com. Use your gmail info to log in. Search for the app "plan B". Click install. If you have more than one device registered it will ask which device to install/push the app to. Tell it to install on your lost phone.
It will download and it is supposed to send a location to your gmail account.
LOL. It must be a trap provided by Best Buy. Look at this from the first email from Plan B.
Holy Crap!!!! It worked.
It located my phone to within two meters. I was just testing it because my phone is in the living room and sitting on my coffee table. Plan B sent me a google map with a dot on my house!!! Then there was a link to click and it pulled up google streets and showed me a picture of my house!!!!
Good to know about this app!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, like greeky510 suggested above, try Lookout's Plan B.
Just click install on the webpage from your computer, and the app should be sent to your phone and activate itself. Then you should be able to track it.
i think you buy one new
Go to Police Station and told them about your lost phone and ask them to write a F.I.R. they will track your through IMEI number whenever a SIM will inserted in the phone. You will absolutely get your phone back.

[Q] Google Play account region locked, any solutions?

Hello
My google account has unfortunately been locked to my home country, so that the only store i'm able to load on play.google.com is the danish store.
It doesn't work with a US VPN, but my test account works fine and connects to the us store.
Also i'm able to buy and rent movies and tv shows on youtube.com by going directly to youtube.com/movies, but doing the same thing on play.google.com, just tells me that the category i'm looking for is currently unavailable in my country.
Iv'e tried searching around, but i can't find any information that would help me unlock the account again.
Does anyone know if it is possible to unlock a region locked google account, so that it will access what ever store matches my IP?
Thanks
I'm interested in this too. I hope there is a way to bypass the regional restrictions.
I thought I was the only one
It just doesn't work for me, and only with MY google account.
Its like, google locked my account to my area/region forever :'(
I'm in french caribbean and my main country is France
Not sure bout it but try using Google DNS it unlocks most of the sites n is fast

I don't know if this could help you, I hired unblock-us and configured their dns to run on my home and office routers by default. After a month or two I got the US region.
You can also try to set up your google play pay method to a US credit or debit card, I also did that. Nowadays I have the full unlocked version of google play.
I'm sorry I don't know a lot since I'm not a dev but that helped me.
I am also very interested in this topic. I know this used to be a simple issue where VPN and clearing app data could get you around the region restrictions. However it seems that this is no longer viable.
I have been looking for a way around without using a local credit card or billing method to no avail...
anyone got any leads at all??

[Q] Reliable alternative to Google Play: is there any?

Hi to all,
I just landed at the Android world. The phone I got is a really really Chinese "Huaexl" (at least the name reminding the better known Huawei XL) not including Google Play as defaut app store. Since I did not find a reliable way to get the Google Play app (Google website does not allow to download it) I tried to install Google Play Service which does nothing else but crash.
Google Play has a certain credibility in my opinion. My problem now is that I want to find a "reliable" way to download apps in case there is no reliable way to install it.
At the moment I'm using 1Mobile Market and Aptoide just to download some utility (such as some hardware monitor or QR code scanner and other basic app) but I would never use such stores for example when it comes to install some banking app
So, to make it short:
would you suggest any "reliable" way to install Google Play or any "reliable" alteriative?
would you suggest me to replace the current Android version and istall another one including Google Play by default?
Thank you in advance for your comments and suggestions.
PD: what about replacing Android with Ubuntu Touch?
PD2: according to the hardware monitor apps that I installed, such phone should be an optacore, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of ROM
PD3: dispite the camera options get till 13Mpx mode, the quality of the pictures is quite bad
You can download Google Play Store from Android Police

Thanks a lot. However, since I'm new in the Android world, I have never heard of Android Police. Could you please tell me more about them? I've been googling but found nothing about Android Police except what they themselves publish (blog, website, podcasts and so on).
Could you clean my doubts about their "realiability" ?
Sorry for insisting about this topic.
Thanks.
Regards.
Link already given for download. Android police is reliable source

Android Police is a well known blog and info site, loads of new info that's initially start off there and get spread. I can assure you that the website is very reliable. Nothing to worry about.

Ok, now I got your own opinion about it. Thanks a lot, that's a great start!
Is there any other reliable source talking about Android Police. For example any well known online newspaper or something?
Please try to understand my feelings. I want to be straight. Your feedback about your own personal feelings is important for me since I just don't know this world. My dubts will be completely cleaned (well, never be sure 100%) when I could see for example (just a stupid and unreal example) the New York Times telling about Android Police.
I mean, I wish a reliable source may have talked about it. Please tell me if any, I would really really appreciate it.
Thank you so much for your understanding and your patience.

Unfortunately Google Play just crashes less than 1 second after launching it. Is there anything I could do?
Or shoud I just give up since it is impossible to install on phones not coming with it already installed by default, as I've been reading somewhere?
Thanks,
regards.
