evita_utl
First off verify in bootloader that you have an evita.
Hboot 2.10??
Hopefully you meant 2.14... If so the boot image from the viper Rom needs to be flashed via fastboot.
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Unzip viper Rom on pc and copy boot.img to working adb folder flash and reboot. That should work

Why do people keep doing this, then are shocked there is no OS?
/system is where the current ROM/OS is stored. If you wipe it, then obviously you will have no OS.
But more more importantly: Don't wipe things if you don't know what they are.

There is no international at&t, there's international quad OR at&t Dual
There is no 2.10 hboot for the dual either. 1.09,1.11,1.14,2.14 <-- Are all I've ever seen.
I would check bootloader to see what the device codename is just to be safe for future reference.
I did some research on this a few days ago. He has the Evita_UTL, which is another version of the dual-core found in the middle east (I'm guessing that's why he's referring to it as the "International" One XL).
The hboot versions are different from ours (I've only seen 2.10 so far), but one person had said that they had successfully loaded one of our ROMs onto one of these things.
Chances are it's safe, but I wouldn't want to risk it. There's very little information available about this model, and I'm not game enough to give advice on it.

Thanks! Had no idea about this. Very good to know. I agree with the not risking our roms on it. there could be a key hardware difference.

The term "international version" means nothing at this point, and just a source of confusion. It was relevant in the first few months, when the dual core EVITA was only being offered in US and Canada, and the quad core ENDEAVORU was being sold in multiple countries. Now that the EVITA is available in so many countries (UK, Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, and more), it can decidedly be considered "international". Sure, there is the "XL" designation (used for all the dual core EVITA versions outside of North America). But that just adds to the confusion.
Many folks here still use the term "international" to be synonymous to the ENDEAVORU. But its much less confusing to stick with the the code names (EVITA vs. ENDEAVORU) and get away from "international" and "not international" (non-international, un-international?).

I personally think it's the opposite, I think it's the "incorrect" branding used by North American carriers that's caused all the confusion. The model is known as the One XL everywhere in the world except for North America, where the carriers decided to screw with the model designation for marketing reasons.

My point was that the usage of the names X and XL for the same device (EVITA) adds to the confusion, not that XL is "incorrect".

A while back, a user (forgot who) recommended using the code names (ENDEAVORU versus EVITA) in the two respective forum section titles, instead of the current naming convention (HTC One X versus AT&T, Rogers etc.). I thought this was a fantastic idea. But apparently the mods didn't agree, and nothing ever changed..

I think it's a great idea too. Maybe the only problem with it is that your average n00b looking to root is most likely not aware of the code names? Therefore making it difficult for them to find the correct forum.
EDIT: in saying that, it's already difficult for em to find the correct forum with the current naming format.

It is a good idea. Would also force people to check there bootloader prior to doing anything which would prevent some bricking.

Gotcha, evita it is
Bricked? - No OS
I am in a similar situation. HTC One X Evita. Unlocked. HBoot 2.14. TWRP Recovery. No OS (yes it was wiped). I can see directories in TWRP. I can get to Bootloader and into Recovery. I was able to see /sdcard/ if I mounted it in TWRP. Now I haven't seen it for a few hours.
According to my son, he was able to copy (not adb sideload) CM10.1 onto /sdcard/ and tried to install it. After this it just bootlooped on the CM logo. He wiped it again (then bought a Nexus 4 haha). I left my company and want to use this phone as my daily dialer.
Is it bricked? How do I get anything onto the phone if the laptop won't recognize it to run Fastboot or ADB? Hopefully a point in the right direction will help. I have 24 tabs open of discussion that are similar but haven't helped.

These are classic symptoms of flashing a ROM for the International One X on the One XL. When you do that, you overwrite part of the boot partition for the phone so it cannot boot up.
This is potentially fixable if you have access to Linux computer and know what you're doing.
I have CWM, although in this particular installation I suggested installing via teamviewer will say yes, and restart the recovery, install normal success, and to give restart did not turn over, my phone is an HTC one X from at&t , my CID is 111111, reading forums I saw it was the supercid and accepted any rom ..
if I have a computer with linux, I can fix it?
... HTC One X and xl are completely different devices. It's like flashing a Vivid rom on your XL.
To be honest I have many roms on my computer, I download that the link the AOKP jellybean, the download forum HOX at&t rogers telstar, then it is assumed if I should serve, but not if it was by mistake upload another roms that I have saved, I have several of the international HOX because I thought I worked, but then I found out that no, then do not know what could have happened

Caution: I have not done this myself and do not vouch for it. But here's the explanation I've seen before:
beaups said:
when the device is bricked (qhusb mode), after pushing and holding power for ~10 seconds - in linux shortly thereafter all of the partitions will enumerate and expose themselves to linux for about 5 seconds (you'll see sdX1, sdX3, sdX8, about 30 partitions alltogether). During that quick 5 seconds you can DD whatever you feel like back to those partitions.
.
This is how I've recovered bricks. Corrupt hboot --> Brick device. DD back correct hboot while in this mode --> unbricked

Hey buddy
I also have the UK One XL
Rotting is easy, use the HTC method, it's in this forum just have a quick look
I currently run ViperXL rom but any rom in the Rogers forum here should work
Also my hboot is 1.14 and for me this means no boot/kernel flashing works through recovery so I have to use fastboot
So quick someup:
Use HTC method to unlock bootloader
Fastboot flash recovery (I use twrp)
Flash rom in recovery
If rom fails to boot:
Fastboot flash boot (will be in main directory of the rom you downloaded)
Good luck and have fun buddy
EDIT: Just created a new UK HTC One XL Information/Guide thread, check it out here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35518374
Guys, wondering if someone could help me. Have a new HTC One XL (Telstra edition).
I have unlocked using HTC dev and have TWRP installed.
I did a complete wipe, loaded the UNOFFICIAL CyanogenMod 10.1 for HTC One XL (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2064621) via TWRP, flashed the boot image.
Now, the system is booting up, but the screen isn't registering (i.e. any touch of the pad doesn't yeild any result). The power button works, the sound buttons work, but no touch. I know the touchscreen isn't the issue, because it is fine when using TWRP. Any suggestions?

Why are you so sure of that? Because more people will be affected, and therefore devs will be more motivated to solve this issue?
Other than that, I don't see how the AT&T OTA will help in any way. But maybe I'm missing the point here.

Can someone list 1 good ROM with a boot.img file what will work with an ATT HTC One X with hboot version 1.14. I have looked everywhere and every page just points you to more pages with several ROMS, most of which won't work with my hboot version. Can I get just 1 direct link to 1 good ROM that will work.
My phone version is 2.20.502.7. I have to add that I can ONLY access bootlader since my phone won't start because I think there is no operating system installed.
Thanks
They all work. You just need to learn how to use fastboot to flash the boot.img.
ViperXL is designed to install boot.img via AROMA. But it doesn't always work, and some users have had to do it via adb. So if you are looking for a ROM guaranteed to work with hboot 1.14 for those that can't figure out how to manually flash boot.img. . . there are none.
Here is a Link , I'd do some reading up and make sure you know what you are doing so you don't brick your phone if you haven't already as your previous post you were trying to install wrong rom.

I remember I had to learn the hard way...boot looping (well not really that hard). Anywho, while you are in the those threads, I suggest looking for facepalm s-off...then again, if you are not understanding fastboot, then s-off is not for you. By the way, I tested plenty of roms, and I am running 1.14 right now
Thanks guys. I fixed the issue with my phone where I had to fix my corrupted sd card first, and then I could install a ROM that was compatible with my phone.
And Redpoint73, not all HTC One X roms work with all HTC One X phones. If they did, this thread would not have been made in the first place.

Any ROM on here and here will work.
Obviously ROMs meant for a completely different device (which the quad core One X is) will not work.
I didn't bother to type "any ROM meant for our hardware (EVITA) will work" because I assumed that you were smart enough to know what I meant, without me having to go into unnecessary detail.

even though I consider myself to know not so a lot about computers and software, android ROMs are one of those things i know nothing about, so I have tried some roms and i haven't found one to work well on my phone, so i know it may be bothersome, but we need information on how to setup and how to do things and not brake the phone...

It's not the same problem, since it's not the same phone, or even the right device forum section.
I wasn't all that familiar with the X+, and for that matter I don't even remember all that much about the phone I actually owned (One X) since it's been 3+ years since I even powered it on. But I do recall the X+ was kind of an oddball "between flagships" device and not much of a community not development. So your ROM choices, and other resources are limited.
