Connect your phone to your PC and run the RUU program in Windows. Make sure no other programs are running. Make sure screen saver is turned off. I'm feeling generous and have given you exact file, next time please search before posting.

There are plenty of stable ROMs, you probably just don't have your phone set up correctly. Research is key.
The link is for our phone, why would I give you a link for a different phone?

The solution to this has been discussed here dozens (maybe even hundreds) of times.
The problem is not the custom ROMs, its your lack of research and understanding.

Yeah well, i've been resarching a lot! and i haven't found any good stable rom for HTC one x PLUS from AT&T...
all i find is for HTC one X and HTC one XL, but not for the HTC one X+...
even though I consider myself to know not so a lot about computers and software, android ROMs are one of those things i know nothing about, so I have tried some roms and i haven't found one to work well on my phone, so i know it may be bothersome, but we need information on how to setup and how to do things and not brake the phone...

It's not the same problem, since it's not the same phone, or even the right device forum section.
I wasn't all that familiar with the X+, and for that matter I don't even remember all that much about the phone I actually owned (One X) since it's been 3+ years since I even powered it on. But I do recall the X+ was kind of an oddball "between flagships" device and not much of a community not development. So your ROM choices, and other resources are limited.

hi . i need this rom : HTC_One_X_RUU_5.18.502.1.exe please help me. tnx

[Q] Bricked HOX after flashing JellyBean.

Hi, I'm new to this forum, and unfortunately after a week of having my HOX, and it broke, after unlock and try many roms without any I liked, I found a call icecold jellybean in this forum, and after installation my phone is not on again, nothing, no HBOOT, no charge, no LED lights, nothing, totally dead, I'm pretty sure that it is junk, I'll have to buy a new one, but if anyone knows any solution hear suggestions, I am of Costa Rica, so the warranty does not work here HTC ... These are classic symptoms of flashing a ROM for the International One X on the One XL. When you do that, you overwrite part of the boot partition for the phone so it cannot boot up.
This is potentially fixable if you have access to Linux computer and know what you're doing.
I have CWM, although in this particular installation I suggested installing via teamviewer will say yes, and restart the recovery, install normal success, and to give restart did not turn over, my phone is an HTC one X from at&t , my CID is 111111, reading forums I saw it was the supercid and accepted any rom ..
if I have a computer with linux, I can fix it?
... HTC One X and xl are completely different devices. It's like flashing a Vivid rom on your XL.
To be honest I have many roms on my computer, I download that the link the AOKP jellybean, the download forum HOX at&t rogers telstar, then it is assumed if I should serve, but not if it was by mistake upload another roms that I have saved, I have several of the international HOX because I thought I worked, but then I found out that no, then do not know what could have happened

no chance in hell that the aokp meant for the ONE XL hard bricked you no chance ... and your running CWM should be running teamwins recovery
So how I can fix it?
Yeaaa bro if your phone would even turn on you MAY have a chance. But if there is nothing what so ever except your reflection, then yea you've rendered it useless

Caution: I have not done this myself and do not vouch for it. But here's the explanation I've seen before:
beaups said:
when the device is bricked (qhusb mode), after pushing and holding power for ~10 seconds - in linux shortly thereafter all of the partitions will enumerate and expose themselves to linux for about 5 seconds (you'll see sdX1, sdX3, sdX8, about 30 partitions alltogether). During that quick 5 seconds you can DD whatever you feel like back to those partitions.
.
This is how I've recovered bricks. Corrupt hboot --> Brick device. DD back correct hboot while in this mode --> unbricked

You mentioned "icecoldjelly" in the first post. That's a ROM for the international version. If you flashed that at any point, that's your problem.

One X seems easy to brick.

Ive been debating on whether I should root & go to a jellybean rom on my Att One X.
Simply because Ive been scrolling through Q&A and it seems like this phone is really easy to brick..like it seems like alot of people brick their phones.
So It is cause people dont follow directions or what?
PS: I have 60 day warranty on my phone, and Im not sure if I wanna risk it.
Only stay in this forum and don't flash an international HTC one x rom when you have a dual core non international phone and make sure the Rom is compatible with your phone and you should be fine.

you wont brick if you read first... go through the Q&A section... the only REAL bricks are from these cats flashing roms that are from a totally different phone... but also notice some noobs think they "brick" when all they forgot to do is fastboot a kernel. its all about research... theres a few people on her that go on blatantly flashing whatever they see, not even knowing the difference in devices. know your phone, know your community, know your firmware.. read a little and you'll profit big time.

Well, in truth, this phone is easy to brick. All it takes is flashing IceColdJelly or some other international roms. But this is invariably the result of impatience and overconfidence, people thinking they knew what they were doing and rushing around flashing the first rom they find or one their friend told them to try without taking the time to be sure they were using the right methods.
You seem cautious and wary, and that's good. Just stay in the "AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL" forum and you'll be fine. Don't go looking for tools and roms on Google, and don't be flashing stuff you found on some random web site.
Many, many people have successfully modded their One X phones. It's the careless people who have gotten in trouble.
And you can always downgrade your hboot...like the others have said the only people hard bricking this phone are the.ignorant people who are simply to lazy to do some research with the expensive phone in their hand. I dint get why someone wouldn't check everything out but whatever floats there boat
Whatever you do please don't search HTC one x. We are the HTC one XL and stay away from a ROM called Ice Cold Jelly. Stay away. Please and thank you

Last question. If I flash to jellybean rom or something else etc. Will I lose my beats audio feature?
If you go into fastboot, you will see it as well. If you have the att version HTC one xl(l for lte) version then you have evita.
yes you will lose beats audio. It is just software. It hardly makes a difference. I dont recommend flashing an AOSP rom or CM10 rom and such as the battery life is very very bad compared to sense roms

You need to supply more information I think. Get ready to eat some flame, lol
HBOOT version, ROM name, recovery version, Sense or AOSP
I know that if you have the latest HBOOT, HTC updated the touchscreen drivers so that it makes AOSP ROMs nonfunctional. There is a thread here somewhere that helps you revert your touchscreen drivers if you have S-OFF.

Currently searching this exact issue for a friends daughters HTC (did an OTA with almost dead batt, corrupt ROM, no getting in to S-off, etc., so flashing a stock ROM works, but no TP), here's your link: "Invalid thread specified. [Q] ROM for hboot 1.14

Can someone list 1 good ROM with a boot.img file what will work with an ATT HTC One X with hboot version 1.14. I have looked everywhere and every page just points you to more pages with several ROMS, most of which won't work with my hboot version. Can I get just 1 direct link to 1 good ROM that will work.
My phone version is 2.20.502.7. I have to add that I can ONLY access bootlader since my phone won't start because I think there is no operating system installed.
Thanks
They all work. You just need to learn how to use fastboot to flash the boot.img.
ViperXL is designed to install boot.img via AROMA. But it doesn't always work, and some users have had to do it via adb. So if you are looking for a ROM guaranteed to work with hboot 1.14 for those that can't figure out how to manually flash boot.img. . . there are none.
Here is a Link , I'd do some reading up and make sure you know what you are doing so you don't brick your phone if you haven't already as your previous post you were trying to install wrong rom.

I remember I had to learn the hard way...boot looping (well not really that hard). Anywho, while you are in the those threads, I suggest looking for facepalm s-off...then again, if you are not understanding fastboot, then s-off is not for you. By the way, I tested plenty of roms, and I am running 1.14 right now
Thanks guys. I fixed the issue with my phone where I had to fix my corrupted sd card first, and then I could install a ROM that was compatible with my phone.
And Redpoint73, not all HTC One X roms work with all HTC One X phones. If they did, this thread would not have been made in the first place.

Any ROM on here and here will work.
Obviously ROMs meant for a completely different device (which the quad core One X is) will not work.
I didn't bother to type "any ROM meant for our hardware (EVITA) will work" because I assumed that you were smart enough to know what I meant, without me having to go into unnecessary detail.
Where can I download this Any Rom? Is it a mixture of roms? JK

[Q] Problems reinstalling Stock ROM

Hi there.
I'm really, really new on this subject, but this weekend i tried booting my HTC One X into Cyanogenmod. Unfortunately i was not satisfied as my Internet Browsers (Built-in and Chrome) kept crashing.
I now want to get back to the Stock ROM, but i'm uncertain what to do. I browsed this page for way too long last night, but there was no help to find.
Upon installation of Cyanogenmod, i createda back-up which i tried restoring from, but after that it could not boot, and this very moment i'm scared i bricked my phone or something.
While my phone was working i downloaded the correct Stock ROM and placed it on my SD-card. I tried installing it via recovery mode, but the installation aborted.
Any help would be fantastic, but please keep in mind that i'm new on the subject, and english isn't my primary language.
Cheers.

Nope. Take it from someone who knows what they're talking about, someone who is on this forum every single day because I have the One XL. I can't give you any advice because I don't know anything about your phone because you're asking in the wrong forum.
