Please help !! Wifi giving "error" problem

I had a rooted stock i9003 at 2.2.1 kc1 , I used spooffw to change change csc and updated to kpm using kies!
Then i rooted using cf-root and used cwm manager for its tweaks... now after all this my Wifi is just not turning on - It simply says Error .. nothing else... it just doesnt turn on!
Note: After update it worked perfectly... now after cf-root it seems to be faulty...
HELP!!

On using Wlan test it shows Driver Loading Unsuccessful...
Can i reinstall my wlan driver somehow?

Anyway I suggest u to flash xxkpm. Its the latest GB rom. Froyo is so old bro. I dont think so anyone is using froyo here. Xxkpm is super stable as compared to froyo.

Actually this was a different thread.. but i solved that.... so converted it to this query..
Also ive mentioned in my post that i HAD froyo and i updated it to XXKPM...
So instead of reflashing/reformatting is there any solution?
Ive tried all Wifi-fix apps ..

i will suggest u to reflash using odin. first flash kpe then kpm. Kies sometime dont update properly.

Yeah that's what seems to be needed now... Although through KIES it worked perfectly... it was only after i flashed cf-root kernel through cwm manager did the problem start..

are u using cf root released today by skin??? previous cf root had some problems. Also tru reflashing using odin.

Hey! I replied to you in the CF-ROOT thread. You have flashed the wrong (i.e. XXKPH) version of CF-ROOT when you flashed the file using CWM manager.

There's no .zip. There's is only the .tar for XXKPM as of now.
At any given time you can either flash the .zip or the .tar, you need not flash both.
They are the same thing (for example, "CF-ROOT-XXKPH-CWM_manager-05.09.2011.zip" and "CF-ROOT-XXKPH-05.09.2011.tar" will flash the same kernel).
The .zip is there so that you can upgrade from a previous version of CF-ROOT from the current version without the need for a PC using ODIN.
The latest XXKPM CF-ROOT doesn't come in a .zip format 'cause it doesn't make sense... you need to have flashed a CF-ROOT version to get CWM Manager.

Hi,
I am new to android and I have i9003 with “XXKPN” . I have done CF-ROOT “CFROOT-XXKPN-09-11-2011” by Odin3_v1.0.
Now whenever I start my wifi, it simply says error.
What should I do?
I also tried Hard reset and wipe all data too.. but did not worked.
Should i flash "GT-I9003_SER_I9003XXKPN_I9003XXKPN_I9003SERKPN" by Odin3 as same as CF-ROOT?

i have got my friends I9003 for some day usage
its certain i dont like 2.3.7 as i am using xperia arc s with 4.0.4 original xperia T Rom by Zoeb0001
so to have ics experiance on samsung i have flash [ROM][PORT][Android 4.0.4] RemICS v1.5.3 - SIII look
and every thing is working fine but no getting network
what i have done till the time is below
1 rooted phone with the help of DDKP1-CFROOT-19-12-2011.tar
2. then flash this rom: [ROM][PORT][Android 4.0.4] RemICS v1.5.3 - SIII look
and not getting network using vodafone india 3G network
any help

3. Wipe Data / Factory Reset.
4. Select the rom in recovery
5.and install
6.your device will be rebooted.

Hi friends,
last week i try to flash remics on my i9003.
below steps are followed during flashing.
1.am downloaded remics, odin and cf root.
2.first i did I9003_latona_20110114.pit file load in odin and put my mobile download mode
and check re-partition, auto reboot,f.reset time and click the start button.
3.after that i loaded cf root on PDA and uncheck the re-partition and clicked the start button it completed and mobile started to root explorer.
4.then i copied remics file to memory card and put it in mobile.
5.Now wipe all the data and try to install remics , but it shows assert failed error.
6.now my mobile lost the old firmware 2.3.6 unable to use it..
7.please friends help me to resolve this problem.

then flash using odin as in the instructions..
2. let it boot and then do factory reset then Download DDLF2.. which has only single file.. and put that in PDA section and flash again..
NOTE: XXKPE has the 3 files ua asking about..

1. Flash CWM Compatible Kernel (CF ROOT)
2. Reboot to Recovery.
3. Select the ROM zip from your SD Card and flash.
4. Go to Advanced -> Reboot Recovery.
5. After the Recovery restarts, Wipe Data / Factory Reset.
6. Mounts and Storage -> Format dbdata
7. Flash Google Apps.
8. Reboot

is this file alone loaded in PDA and latona.pit or any other file needed for Rooting??

hi friend,
i have attached the version of my mobile.
i have tried bagaria-09.GT-I9003_PDA and CF-ROOT-XXKPH-21.08.2011 for rooting but i got black screen and no further boot up.
so reflash the DDLF2 and using it.
please guide me how to root with this file and flash remics.

Flash this file for LF2... I use this.. there may be updated files.. bt never mind for that.. just flash this..
then enter recovery.. flash Remics rom.. reboot recovery.. wipe data/ factory reset.. clear dalvik cache.. flash gapps n reboot..

[Q] Galaxy S GT I9003 stuck in recovery loop

Hi everyone,
I had GT i9003 with 2.3.6 as the firmware.
I recently flashed custom ROM CM10-GalaxySL-JZO54K-Alpha4.zip , which worked fine intially.
Later due to network problems i tried restoring to my original firmware.
After doing the restore I am stuck.
Right now whatever i do the phone comes back to CWM recovery. I have tried to flash the phone again with
different custom ROMs, but after saying the installation complete the phone again reboots to CWM recovery.
Hope i have made my problem clear.
can anyone put some light on this?????

hey dude CM10 A4 has different partition,you must flash from pit,you can't restore you GB file from CM10 A4

Flash latona.pit...then XXKPE , Then DDLF2...latona.pit will reset ur partition...

When flashing from CM10 ALpha4 latona.pit then XXKPE but DONT include BOOTLOADER.

If you made a NANDROID(CWM) backup of your GingerBread 2.3.6 firmware, you won´t be able restore it while still on CM10.(as mentioned by MR.Volkf).
I suppose you know that to get back to 2.3.6 you will need to use ODIN to flash the firmwares previously mentioned.
If you´re not familiar with the proper steps involved with ODIN, here´s a great guide on how to do that, thanks to "Misledz".

Once you get back to GB(2.3.6), then I believe you should be able to restore any GB NANDROID backups that you may have previously made.(From the restore option in CWM recovery mode).

I think this is what I needed. Just wanted to make sure I have everything when I brick my tablet and need to claim warranty. I hope the Baseband and Stock Recovery need ODIN installation and the installation steps for both are same.
I could not find out any tutorial here, how to use ODIN. If can somebody made one, bcoz there are peoples who wants to go back to stock ROM and this will help them.

Firmware is an total package that contains all elements.......including bootloader. ...
Flash it via pc Odin pc Odin. ......
Before flashing whole firmware it is recommended to flash stock recovery and kernel via mobile Odin. ....
I have provided baseband and recover separately. ....
Because some people may need only baseband and they don't want to flash everything. .....

So if I download the Firmware then I will get stock recovery and Kernel as well...Am I right?
Can you please tell me file names for those?
So after flashing Stock Recovery & Kernel...I have to flash the firmware which will again flash Stock Recovery & Kernel..

phone stuck in recovery after ODIN (stock samsung Rom)

hey guys
i rooted my sister's phone and installed CM10.1 ALPHA 9 by dirhu.
then she asked me to return it to samsung stock ROM
after factory reset and wiping cache and dalvik cache i flashed "I9003DDLF2_I9003ODDLF2_INU" via odin on her phone.
now it is stuck in recovery and doesnt even reach the boot loader.
any idea how i can fix it?
P.S: it was really hard to write this without cursing my sister or my self. i hope you understand what i've just gone through.
