[Q] DIY Cable charging advise - Sony Smartwatch

Got my watch and my first attempt at making a charge cable is a no go, can anyone help with the following:
Do the pins on the watch need to be pushed down?
Is it only pins 1 + 4 that need connecting?
When the watch is completley dead does it take a while while on charge to see anything happening, I connect my cable and dont see any sign its charging??
Also taking apart a USB extension cable seems to be the perfect solution as the pins are the right way round to connect to the watch once you take apart the metal housing.
Please help

No when you connect the wire immediately you have to see the battery icon on the screen then when you long press
the power button it has to vibrate and Sony logo will appear on the screen. Maybe you have a short on cable or the watch itself it is defect.
I have my cable defective and I make one as that in the pictures from a flat USB cable.

[Q] Need help in fixing my broken tablet cable.

Need help in fixing my samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 charging/usb cable
Here's my situation,
1. I own original cable and soon tossed it away because the cable has got snapped wires and I find it difficult to solder to the pcb board.
2. I bought another cable, but again, it's having charging issues after 4 months or usage. I'm started to think that these type of cable is easily broken. So I wanted to fix the cable myself by open it up and resoldering the snapped wires in order to save money. The 2nd cable I bought has got no pcb board attached inside. Just pins and solderings.
For now, I just want to be able to charge using the original charger and be able to transfer data files using my pc. So I need help to someone to tell me which wire (color) is attached to which pins. 4 different colors, Black, Red, White and Green. Thanks before.
Here's the look of the 2nd cable when I open it up (removed the remaining snapped wires)

Hepl to fix a microUSB cable please?

Look at the cable on the microUSB back side, you'll see two pins popping out a little. Issue i had with that cable is while i tried to put the connector in the right position (it was bended) i pushed in the wrong side and those pins where not popping out anymore..
Which is a problem since they help phone to detect while you connect & disconnect cable, maybe more. I tried to make the pins pop out using a needle. Worked for some time, until days ago. While trying to fix, i realised that these pins will actually pop in/out depending on how you bend the connector.
So i bended it to make them pop out just as if brand new. Problem is now, even though the phone detects (and hold tight) the cable/AC power, the phone won't charge. Just like if no power was coming it. I tried various things, but it won't change. This cable is much longer/better than others, hope i can fix it..

Buy a new one?

What is the name of this cable?

I was replacing the touchscreen of my Xperia J when I broke a small cable.
It connects two circuit boards. It's the cable that the guy is handling at about 2:30 in this video.
Here is also a picture of the cable.
I would like to know the name of this cable so I can buy a new one from eBay or something
I would also like to know what exactly it does. I noticed that my phone doesn't turn on without it. When I try to turn it on, it vibrates but doesn't actually turn on.

It looks like a Wifi antenna or cellular cable but i'm not sure.
that's an RF antenna. No more connections like wifi, cellular will be transmit if you removed that cable.

corrosion inside usb port

When looking into the USB port I noticed there is a slight build up of green gunk which probably came from environmental moisture (not sure).
Possibly related to this is that when connecting PC to phone, some USB cables won't work (and sometimes power surge), some only works in one orientation, some only works via the wall charger.
Before I send my phone in for repair, just wondering if anyone here has had a similar problem, and what you did to fix it. Any help and comments will be appreciated.
Hi, i had this corrosion too, what i did (maybe not so sure way) its cleaning the corrosion that was between the pins of the connector, so first i turned off the phone and then i removed it with a needle, be careful with the pins. When you finish use a brush to clean the port a little more and remove the dust it may have, you can put alcohol on the brush.
If your cables are not working you can try to press a bit both horizontal sides of the connector to ensure the pins are always touching. Thats what i did when my usb c cable started to connect and disconnect the phone randomly when i just moved it a little.

Hey. Welcome to the club mate. I screwed up my charging port after a trip in Thailand. Some underwater diving & swimming caused the green junk in my port.
I had the same issue such as yours after the trip, Charging was fine but connection through usb on a computer was screwed up.
What I did was, cleaned the charging port with alcohol (Nail polish remover), let it dry & sent it to a nearby Sony Service centre.
They replaced my mother board for free (In warranty). The best part was I had my bootloader unlocked & they gave me a new motherboard with a locked bootloader
Sony service center employees don't know **** about Bootloaders in my country, I'm from India btw.

connect s7 to pc from inside phone, port broken but

Hi, i've broken the usb port on my s7. It was charging but unrecognised on pc, port was full of gunk so tried cleaning it and think i've snapped a pin. It doesn't even charge now. I've taken the back off shattering it in the process thinking i could take out the charging port to have a better look not realizing it's attached to the screen. Also managed to snap one of the small brass connectors that the wifi antenna cable plugs into on the charging port flex. The phone will end up worthless if i try taking the screen off.
Is there a way of connecting to pc from the back end of the usb port with a stripped usb lead?
I got a new contract so was selling it to Game now a nightmare!
Any help appreciated
Thanks
Just use an FTP server / Client on phone/PC and connect wirelessly if WiFi still works
Or Bluetooth
Otherwise find the schematics for the port and see if you can work it out
Sounds more like a job for a repair shop though
