[Q] Streaming television to android device via WiFi? - General Questions and Answers

Would it be possible to stream my satellite television signal to an android device? The outputs on the satellite decoder are just the normal A/V variety, and I would like to be able to stream the video and audio to an android device (probably an android mini PC most of the time, but also a tablet occasionally) over my home wifi? What sort of hardware would I need etc?

[Q] Working on converting to android

so have a note2 and enjoying it... issue is getting media to my other devices. Currently I have an ipad1 sitting under my audio receiver connected via usb and it allows me to control spotify with my universal remote as if the receiver and ipad were one. I am thinking about buying a nexus 10 but I use my tabs for mostly media and ebooks. I want the sound and possible video (all streamed... spotify, netflix, google music, pandora) to somehow make it to my receiver and if it is video obviously make it to my tv. My receiver is a yamaha rx-373 (have a rx-473bl in the mail with networking abilities)
The solution I am looking at would preferably be something close to airplay or being able to connect my device through usb and control it with my universal remote or connect via hdmi but still charge my device. Ideal solution is being able to output everything over wifi to a receiver (maybe samsung allshare dongle) attached hdmi to my yamaha receiver. I just have no clue if that dongle will work with non samsung devices and if it will completely mirror my device.
Anyways this is what I am looking for and wasnt really trying to spend a bunch of money in trying things and paying return shipping on multiple things for what kind of knowledge probably is available here.

[Q] virtual video streamer

Hello, I have a device with a CM10 build. Everything is working except video playback. Network Playback works just fine, is there a program that create a virtual stream of a video, so I can watch it normally? It has to be a actual virtual stream, without a internet connection.

[Q] auto play the live network stream

Hello All,
We recently launched a live tv channel on cloud and this is intended for the operators (CATV) and not for users. We gave one OTT (android stb) to the operators through which they can stream the channel and connect it to their network. OTT uses MX player to stream.
The issue is our stream at the server sometimes gets interrupted, or the OTT at the operator end gets power failure etc. In such cases the operator needs to manually go and play the stream.
We have achieved auto start of MX player on reboot of the OTT. but how we can achieve following:
1. the player automatically start streaming the last network stream
2. while streaming if the stream dies out, the player keeps refreshing and wait for the stream to be up and start playing again instead of getting closed.

[Q] How to stream an webradio station to a DLNA certified TV using an android device

I'm for almost a year trying to stream my webradio for my LG Smart TV DLNA certified using my xperia Z3 , and the closest I got was hearing the webradio on my Android device but it seems impossible to transmit it to my TV via DLNA . Is there any way to solve this situation? Am I doing something wrong?

Stream my audio from my galaxy s8+ in a similar way to HTC connect.

Was exclusively an HTC user for probably the last 10 years, but decided to change it up this year and went for the S8+ . HTC had came out with "HTC connect" which could connect to both airplay and dlna devices alike. It did it in a way where all of my phone's audio would play wirelessly through my receiver, sort of like a wireless aux cable, but at the same time including all of the benefits of Dlna.
What I'm ultimately trying to do is connect to my receiver and play music which my phone is streaming from services such as: YouTube, Spotify, Amazon music, etc. Whenever I connect to my receiver with my phone, it wants to only play files that are located in my phone, which is not what I want.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
