Hi people
As I reboot my phone, the internal sd card is always unmounted. What could be causing this? I had this problem on all versions of Cm10.1
And before shifting to A6, I had also done a clean a clean install.
Help please :'(

Same here
Exact same problem here. Only way to avoid this "bug" is rebooting without external sd card, then internal sd card is detected, but it is so annoying... If someone knows real fix, please help us!
I'll see if it this works. But isn't that even more annoying? To remove external sd then insert again? I'd rather go into settings and mount sd

The sd-ext in CWM actually isn't what you're thinking it is. In CWM, SD-EXT is referring to one specific folder on the external SD card, not the whole card, and if that file isn't there, it throws up that error.
If you can see your external card by putting it in an adapter and hooking it up to your computer, I'd suggest moving everything off the card and onto your computer, formatting the card (FAT32, I believe), and then putting it back into your phone.
See if that helps.
Hey man.
It did not work!
The ext-sd didn't apears, even, at the configuration menu.
When i connect the celphone to the computers, appears only theo original sd.
I'tryed a friends sd, but it don't read to.
I thinking that is a hardware issue.
What could i do?

I'm not sure how drastic you want to get, but if it's not reading any external microSD cards, you could back up everything on your phone, then flash back to stock and do a master clear. That might set right whatever is messing up. If that doesn't fix it, you might have a hardware issue on your hands.
Thanks for the help!
I'll try this as soon as i can, and post the results in here!

I think I have the same issue. Sometimes it randomly pops up saying "blank SD card" or "damaged SD card" message. And I have to reboot to get the card to work again. And it may fail randomly later. :/

What size/class sd cards are you guys trying to use?
8 GB class 4 San disk
-Sent from a Galaxy far far away
Kingston 16 gb class 4
My external_sd isn't working, neither randomly...

Do you have an adapter for the MicroSD that you could use to put it into your computer (outside of the phone) to test and make sure it's good?
I experienced the same erratic behavior with a new 16gig class 4 SanDisk. But, my 8gig class 4 SanDisk works perfectly. I'm running MIUI,btw. When I flash back to stock kf1, they both work perfectly.
Rooted on beans R2. I have formatted my micro Sd card via PC with fat32. put the sd card in and everything seems fine untill I reboot phone. after reboot phone it comes up damaged SD card or empty files, plese format card.
this happens everytime I reboot my phone.
Any ideas??
Nothing!?? come on guys. I need your help here
I thought I read some where you're never supposed to format your SD card with your computer, it should only be through your phone.

maybe give some details about your Sdcard.
i have had some hit & misses with the lower quality SD cards available from like Microcenter or Fry's in those bulk clear cases...
also why not just boot into recovery & format the card from there & see if that works?
Its a lexar 10 class 32 gig. I didn't know you could format an SD card from recovery.
If you could give me an idea on some steps to take that would be very helpful and appreciated

You can format your card from the settings -----> storage menu also.

my tab always cannot read all the data of the SD card such as photo and music
sometime, it will delete my music on the SD card
I dont know why i will have this problem
can anyone to help me to solve this problem
The problem might be in the SD card itself, did you try another one?

i am having problem with installing zip from sd card..whenever i try to do it.. it goes back. like i pushed the back button.. can anybody tell me what to do.. model gti9003.
It may be cause of non-detection of your sd card. Format your sd card in FAT32 format and try

Make u have ur micro sd card inserted. Takeout the backcover and see is u have a external sdcard

Which button did u used for selection? Use Powerkey for selection of an option..
If the problem still persists, either ur memory card is not mounted properly or recovery is nt proper..

Ok so I haven't downloaded roms or had to move anything to my ext sd card in a while, but now when I do it shows the files moved and when I restart my phone the files disappear. It won't even be on my internal sd card. So I'd have to re-download whatever it was I downloaded... Which is a bit of a pain in the ass since I don't have wifi right now or service on the phone. Is there anyone else with this issue that has a fix or some advice or help in any way? Any input Wuld b greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried reformatting the sdcard? Format it to fat32 and see how it works after that. If you have a spare sdcard, see if you can reproduce the issue on there. If it does not happen on this second card then the original is faulty or at least well on its way.

It's possible your SD card is failing. The S3 sort of has a reputation for killing them.
I would try what Fingers said. I had the same problem once with Illusion rom (liquid ripoff) and reformatted and was all set.
