It also depends on which ROM you are running. In CM 10.1 for example you can change the battery color settings.

i have dual boot right now, stock and cm 10.1 but i never changed the color icon, some days ago the tablet went really hot, i think i damaged something

Droid as battery indicator?! :)

Hey,
So I see there is a android battery indicator available for a few other droids (its a goodlookin battery indicator) so I tried to apply it to my device via metamorph
I got it to show except it did not properly indicate my battery %
battery manager showed %60 and the droid was still fully green
can anyone create this for the X? maybe WJD
the link is below and its the last android icon at the bottom
http://droidpirate.com/category/meta...icons/page/11/
definitely willing to donate as well, thank you

the droid battery indicator actually works great
the shades of green between 100 and 80 are just a slight difference so its hard to tell by first glance

[Q] Blue stripe in battery use menu

Hi guys!
I have quite a serious question for you )) Please remember, I can not sleep until you give me the right answer.
So, if u take ur Desire S (or I believe any other HTC android phone) and go to Settings -> About Phone -> Battery -> Battery use, then u will be able to see a graph just at the top of the screen (and a title "(xx)h (yy)m (zz)s on battery" over the graph). I guess you all going to cry when you see this menu, because it's only few per cent battery remaining although u unplug the charger just twelve hours before. OK, sorry for flood. My question: there is a tiny blue stripe under the graph. Sometimes it interrupts. What does this stripe indicate?
PS. You know, many people complain to battery drain. And battery seems to drain faster just at the moments indicated by this stripe. Does anybody notice smth like this?

Without checking as phone isn't to hand at the moment, I believe that this is when the Screen is ON, considering that the Screen/Display is always the main user of phone battery, it's no surprise that the graph dips when this bar occurs.
Hope that you can sleep soundly now.
Mmm... ben_pyett, are u completely sure it's Screen_ON indicator? Unfortunately I don't know how to make a screenshot as I'm using stock ROM now, but believe me I saw blue stripe on my Desire S and it lasts for at least 5 hours. Then it interrupts and begins and interrupts again and so on. And I'm completely sure that the screen was not ON all this 5 hours.
PS. Stil not sleeping.
If you tap on the map it enlarges it to full screen with a breakdown of what the blue bar means
Wow!! det66, man, you're magician! How did u find it out?
Thanks anyway. In my case "awake" mode seems to drain the battery.
PS. Go to bad with a great pleasure ))

By luck ..but mostly the screen being on is the main battery killer

[Q] Can I adjust the notification LED to be green only when it's fully charged?

In the stock rom when you start charging your phone it'll emitt green light when the battery reaches 90%, that's what I'd like to change and only make the LED change to green when the battery is fully charged.
In CM11 it's automatic...

Use LightFlow from market, it does the job flawlessly, but you need to configure all the other notifications again cause it takes control of them, I use it from a long time and I have the full version too.

Then there's one more reason why I hate that my phone has a locked bootloader.

It's showing up green because it's the safety feature Samsung made to help people feel reassured that their battery wasn't going to explode.
Maybe try installing some themes? Or flash back to an older N7 port before they made the battery green.
