[Q] Android.process.acore w/schizoid latest release - General Questions and Answers

I have just tried flashing the latest Schizoid rom and followed the following steps.
1. Wipe delv cache
2. factory reset
3. apply rom
4. apply gapps
I have been doing this same procedure with this tablet for 9 months first with CM9 and now with Schizoid. I finally flashed the june 27th update without gapps and the process.acore message did not appear. I had been using "gapps-jb20121011-signed". My rom manager has been Goo Manager. Goo Manager did not like july 6th schizoid and the 2013 gapps for because Schizoid the md5 sum was wrong, and gapps was not signed.
I have checked the forums and noticed that both gapps are mentions in two different posts about schizoid. Also, the Rom Managers don't seem to agree with the developers posts. So which is the right gapps. Also, what is the difference between schizoid and <kang>schizoid? I see shumash posts to both but Goo.im places both roms under one listing. So is there a difference?
Thank you for your patience.

[Q] CM7 nightly gapps g2x

This is not working.. I can't find any others with explicit instructions on what to do after you get CM7 installed. (Gapps [yeah, that website with a list of like 50 things to dl...), emulating a SIM card, etc.)
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/20981-guide-successfully-installing-cm7-with-gapps/
Download gapps flash through CWM
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
Here is the proper link to the Google Apps page:
http://goo-inside.me/gapps/
And here is the direct link to the latest GAPPS from June 13, 2011
http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110613-signed.zip
Just download to the root of your SD card and flash. I've found it better to flash CM7 THEN IMMEDIATELY flash the GAPPS file before rebooting into the rom.

Pointer remover!
This update removes pointer but do not worry the D-Pad will work as in Android 2.3.7!
Update Not working so you need to put those files in /system folder by yourself!
Pointer will be fixed in next update!
Can't impossible get Gapps to work. Have tried evrything (I think)!
Have tried a couple other Gapps then latest one given in this thread.
Have tried installing CM9 and Gapps a couple of times, with reboot and cleaning cache etc in diffrent orders... without luck.
Latest I tried clearing cache, data, dalvik, etc.
Installed CM9.
Installed Gapps (given above in thread)
Reboot.
Evrything seems to work, but no icons/apps appear... >_<

thanks, its work for me!!
when i want install new release recovery show me that installation aborted
Now I've done some more testing... and done the installation over and over a couple of times
Theese are my conclusions:
* Installation of Gapps is partially working!
From one installation to another, diffrent apps and function is installed (or working) on the phone.
Theese functions I've found (so far) that vary from time to time:
* Gmail
* Market
* Screen lock
* Installation guide program when new user/clean installation
tested
After a while I managed to set up it to work good
1.wipe data factory reset, dalvik cache...everything
2.flash rom
3.wait for the phone to start
4.wipe again,start the phone
5.flash gpapps
Instead of stock gallery use quick pick.
Little bit slow when entering menu (probably becouse of stock zoom effect).
market working, camera working, synced account without problems
Great job!
I installed CyanogenMod 9.0.0 Nightly 2012.06.18
My phone just flies.
Battery lasts a long time
RAM size 140 MB (it is very good)
Less:
*1.The graphics system sometimes produces errors
*2.File Manager does not play music

Gallery has an extrange behaviour as is not possible to see correctly anything-
Thanks for your job
Just out of curiosity

[Q] Gapps install

Good afternoon. I am new to the forum and need your help.
Install TWRP and can after trying several times install CyanogenMod 4.4.2 (version 11-20140207-unofficial-1931 +0100- wingray). Already running and it works great but I can not install add the Gapps, I get Failed.
According to the log tells me: Error flashing zip / sdcard/pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-201140207-signed.zip
What can be the problem?
I do this from the menu, I select Install zip containing the gapps, select Zip file signature verification and confirm getting the above errors.
I could lend a hand.
Thanks and congratulations for this forum which is great for those of us who like all these devices.

Try it without the verification.. or possibly re-download the file in case you got a corrupted download originally.

CyanogenMod and Gapps Compatibility Issues

Hello Everyone,
Was flashing my i9505 and encountered several issues with respect to gapps. As there was no thread related to this kinda topic, starting one.
I flashed the cm-11-20140210-SNAPSHOT-M3-jfltexx milestone version yesterday.
Few of the Gapps available out there are not compatible with this version of the rom.
the ones i flashed with this are:
pa_gapps-full-4.4-20131102-signed
pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20140207-signed
pa_gapps-modular-full-4.4.2-20140207-signed
and all of them gave the same error while the apps list was auto updating in play store, there was error (.404)
the manual installation of the apps were failing too.
I flashed the gapps from the cyanogenmod website, the version provided for CM 11 to be precise
and that seemed to do the trick. apps were auto downloaded and installed.
Maybe this list might come in handy for someone

PLEASE HELP cm12.1 gapps fail to install

Newest TWRP. Fresh FULL wipe (if you can wipe it in TWRP, I've wiped it, and rebooted back into recovery).
Install latest CM nightly no problem.
Next in queue is CM's 12.1 arm gapps straight from the source.
It immediately aborts installation with the standard red text "FAILED" error. I've redownloaded and tried several times. Can't think of anything else.
Please help!
EDIT: I guess I'm wondering why it's failing, but more importantly how to get it to stop failing. Other gapps install fine, but I don't want someone's custom package (they're all different!!!!) I just want the one that's made explicitly for CM12.1 because the reason I'm starting from scratch in the first place is things were starting to get buggy and I want the most proper install I can do, right from the start this time.

I don't see how the CM gapps are superior to any other gapps package, they're just stock Google apps. Just use a different package and be done with it.
The links on the CM website are messed up or something. You can use the direct github link to download them.

Really? Look at the package size. Look at the MD5. They aren't the same. And when 100% of the reason for restarting COMPLETELY FROM SCRATCH is to make sure everything is proper, then having half the install not-proper is kind of a big deal.

Thanks. I already used some [Moderator edit: Please don't use profanity here] random gapps package, but at least this is on the internet for the record now, hopefully others will find it useful. This is the second time I've restarted my phone on a serious note this year, and also the second time CM has failed to deliver a working download.

You're just not properly understanding what a gapps package is. Of course the md5 is going to be different. Even just one different letter in the updater script will cause the md5 to be different. You do understand that a gapps package is just a collection of Google Apps that can be (mostly) found on the Play Store, completely untouched (in most cases), and arranged into a flashable zip for convenience, right? They vary in size because different gapps packages contain more or less apps depending on your needs. The CM package contains the exact same apps as any other gapps package, it isn't superior. Extract the package and check the md5 of the Google Play Services app, then do the same thing with the Google Play Services app from another gapps package, it'll be exactly the same (as long as it's the same build number), and this trend will continue for every single apk found in each package.
