Don't. S2 and S2+ are not the same.
You can try the discontinued Cyan by skullface here (which works on my 9105 although said to be only for the P version) or just wait patiently.

I used it for a few days only and yes, network works. Only no vibration. One user wrote if you have your PIN activated, it messes up your network connection.

One more thing.. and good reason why I should flash skullface rom over stock rom?

@fayez107
Yeah, my phone is the non-P. Apparently, the phone ignores the nfc files or the nfc files are missing - the P users reported non-working nfc. (not sure which of the 2 reasons) so that's why skullface's port works for the non-P.
In theory, custom roms are made to enhance user experience, offering certain improvements like smoothness, better battery consumption, extra features, cosmetics, etc. But it's entirely up to you. You'd have to test them and see which works best for you. Some people prefer stock rom. This is all mostly what I gathered from searching and reading xda, I'm still new to Android too and still learning things. Plus there hasn't been many custom Roms to play with, at least not yet.
Edit: I think we should let this thread die off since the op's query has been answered and the topic has derailed. In case some newbie wanders in and gets the wrong idea from reading the last 2 or 3 posts and flashes a rom meant for the S2

Who cares if the rom is official or not.. the fact is Cm9, which I'm currently using, is completely stable with no issues other than wifi .. And with a dev like Dhiru constantly working in it, what difference does it make that its not official ....

The Cyanogenmod's web site did not write our phone name on the web site because our Cyanogenmod are still in Alpha. First, WiFi didn't show strength, our Kernel is not for Jelly Bean and ICS, front camera improper and many other. Second, There's nothing we can do now, the only thing we do is pray that Kernel 3.x released soon and all/most of the problems are fix. Third, if you don't like using CM (The CM is not a problem for your daily life except if you used it as a camera or try to make a vlog with it front camera), try using stock ROM.
Thanks for your reply....

its not the question of official or unofficial
If the chicken fry tastes good
why you bother if its (hen) blind or not.
The thing is.. Our cyanogen will never been official 'cause dhiru and the other devs are not dependent on the cyano crew. On the cyano site our device is not present cause they've never worked on it.
Maybe if we reach the 3.x Kernel it will probably be better than i9000 official's.

I know, some have tried the other roms for the other variants. but only wound up messing up their own tab. And the restore tab is for AT&T international version and even though it does work, it isn't all in English. The closest one is for Tmobile, but TMO doesn't have LTE, so you could kiss it goodbye. Probably why not many have tried it. It's a shame that the Dev's don't want to own one, I have dumped my rom also did a CWM backup of my tab. But since there is no one to work on getting us a JB rom, we have to wait for the update from AT&T, if they ever do it.
I'm sure at&t won't release anything soon

I would also like to know this answer... I'm just starting my research on Rooting and installing a Custom ROM on my device.
I've found a few other sites that give you ROM's....
http://tips4droid.com/top-best-custom-rom-samsung-galaxy-tab-2-10-1/
http://www.thegalaxytabforum.com/index.php?/topic/16585-custom-rom-for-att-i497-p5113-solved/ Not sure if this is an Original ROM or not.
http://galaxytabhacks.com/galaxy-ta...-for-galaxy-tab-10-1-and-tab-2-android-4-2-2/
http://nasirtech.blogspot.com/2013/12/vlamj2-412-jb-official-rom-att-galaxy-tab2-10-1-sgh-i497.html
But I didn't know anything about what they were talking about in the above replies...I hope there are some ROM's as this Tab is constantly Freezing and slowing down... I hardly have anything on it and constantly keep clearing the Cache in the Recover Boot area... I was hoping a Root with a custom ROM would help me out.....
Anything new?
Figure this is so old that if nobody has done one by now, it never going to happen.
I don't think there's a custom rom for your device...

Try Ripper. It's been working great for me on P3113. Nice and solid stock-based ROM, rooted (with SuperSU), IR blaster works (with Peel app). I read some people are saying you need to change the model in build.prop from 3110 to 3113 for IR blaster to work, but I didn't have to do that, it just works...
Thank you tried it then reverted back to cm10.1, I guess I am just too much of a creature of habit to change

It's funny how it works for different people... For me, it's just the opposite - I can't force myself to like CM or AOSP/AOKP ROMs. Every time I try them (and I tried a lot of them on my two devices), I end up going back to one of my favourite stock-based ROMs...
If there were an app that controlled my mouse and my tv at the same time....then ir blaster would be worth it...

Anyways. a good one would be ripper rom. Change model number in build.prop to GT-P3113 and it will work.
Or MicroDelta. Not Tab2Lite its outdated and mic doesn't work.

Check whether if its a reported bug of the ROM. Also, a clean flash may be recommended by the developer.

I can't really say about that, because I don't own this device. Best bet is to read user feedbacks about the ROM you're interested, and try it. If you didn't like you can always revert back to your Nandroid backup. Also, its likely that the bug you're facing in CM 10.1 maybe rectified someday as its currently under active development, so keep an eye on it.

There are plenty of 4.3 and 4.4 custom roms in the forum here. AOKP, Illusion, PAC rom, OmniRom
You can find them in the android develeoplment forum.
Read the replies before you do the flashing to know if the rom is good or not.
There is no Rom that is the best, each person has his own preferences.
Good luck.

This for sure.
I'm sticking with a stripped down TW rom on my Note so I can retain full S Pen functionality but I loaded AOSP on my S3 long ago and never looked back.
I bet this sucker would fly on a pure android ROM Good luck!
The n8010 and n8013 are pretty much identical hardware wise. I think Samsung released two versions for different parts of the world.
I've been using n8013 roms since I bought my n8010 and they all work. My favourites being CM10.2 and, more recently, omnirom (based on kitkat).
Have fun flashing!
