In need of a screen protector that is compatible with bumper? - Nexus 4 Accessories

I was recently using a spg ultra clear with my official bumper, there is now a small scratch inside the rather spaceous gap occupying the side of the screen protector. This is frustrating.
I am in need of a projector that will cover the entire face of the phone, and still work with the bumper.
I have tried xtremeguardz while using a regular case and they started to peel almost immediately
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I'm using XtremeGuard (both on the front and back) and it's getting along perfectly with the bumper.

+1 for Best Skins Ever. They make a case/bumper optimized version specific to mesh with cases.

After using Skinomi and Xtremeguard which are both wet installs I also recommend Bestskinsever Bumper Optimized. Will make it really easy for you to order any case you like without having to worry about the corners peeling.

I have a poetic bumper with spigen uc sp.. Works awesome. Not a single scratch on it yet, and I've had it for more than six months.
Also have a dbrand black carbon fiber back cover...the bumper is grey and red, looks awesome.

I had xtremeguards for a while. Got tempered glass (maru), didn't work, and forgot I ran out of the XGs lol. I opted to try the BSE because I loved them on my Nexus One back in the day. Both XG and BSE are wet installs and IMO are the best ways to install screen protectors. There's room for error and that is great for people like me .
XG played fine with bumper. I ordered a case optimized version from BSE and should be waiting for me at the office on Monday. I'll post pics of the resulted install and post a mini review/opinion on it.

I reccomend a 4$ plastic one off amazon , I have an xtremeguard on my second one and I have lines vertical all over the screen that make rainbows , I use it with a boxwave cse and its not peeling but the back protector is scratched up to

Tried Skinomi and Spigen screen protectors. Both sucked. The back of my phone already is scratched so I don't really care unless the glass cracks. Before the 1 year is up, I will probably get it switched out because I have Bluetooth issues (regardless of ROM)

Good to know. Only reason why I'm kinda eager for the bumper is because it reveals the back but I guess I'll just save my ~$27. The design of it looks amazing with the buttons, maybe one day it'll be cheaper or something, I doubt it but oh well. $10 for a ringke slim was definitely worth it.

pretty good I would say. The Diztronic has a non-plasticky surface on the inner side of the case..so the protector wont stick on the case.
Also, the front protector is almost spot on with the edges of the case. I love this setup...looks minimalistically professional (if thats even a word! :laugh

I have always used XG and there is no orange peel effect. I think you may be talking about the rubbery feel to it. The orange peel effect is seen more in matte screen protectors where it just doesn't feel very smooth.
I have an xtremeguard sp, and it had been great this far. The screen protector does have a bit odd orange peel effect, but not anything significantly noticeable. The screen protector is sticky off the bat, but it becomes less sticky after a couple days of use. I used furniture polish to make it a lot smoother. No peeling at the corners, but a tip for installing is to hold down the curved edges until it sticks.

I have used XG since I got the phone in November. Yes it does have a slight orange peel look when looking at it in an angle, but it's not bad. The first release didn't have the cutouts for the front proximity sensor and camera and that didn't play well with the phone at all, then when I got the cut out version, that sp was cut more precise. And I have used many cases with this sp and none have made the sp peel. Great sp for the price, especially with a coupon code.

Worse than BSE in terms of orange peel texture and rubbery touch.
That's why XG is constantly having these huge sales.
I had a BSE on my phone, considering BSE is thinner, the texture of the protector is different than XtremeGuard which is a lot thicker. XtremeGuard has that rubbery feeling similar to Zagg protectors. I personally am dissapointed of this... But as someone has explained to me on G+, these are 3M protector used on cars and crafts in general to protect the paint from being damaged. If you're really adventurous and you don't like the rubbery feel of the product, you can use non abrasive car polish on it and it'll increase the glide to make it very similar to having no protector on it at all. But for the trouble it's worth, I prefer BSE hands down.
The installation did not take much time, scratches on the screen are not visible. But the phone still smells of soap.
Would advise using soaps with better aromas. I used Dettol handwash
Didn't have a good experience at all. The soapy water got the protector dirty and when I applied it, it looked really bad. Then try number 2, I applied it, and then I saw small, fine hairs underneath it. I tried again and again, but eventually gave up.

I have a Ballistic case and it rubs at the top and is peeling the top off a bit not to bad. On both mine and my wife's. It is a little rubbery and not as slick wife don't like it for texting (sliding finger around)

hey guys im looking for wet screen protectors what are they called besides wet application ? any brands to focus on? thanks! got one applied it so nice but when i put it in my jeans it came off and became dusty! so i need anotyher one (the first one i got for my cousin for free but hes out of town for a while and i cant get in contact with him) where can i get one for 'cheap' i already have the back so i wouldnt mind the front i could look on electronicBay but dont know the technical name to it!

From my experience, Skinomi are pretty wrinkly looking. Xtremeguard, while much clearer, if you dont get it on just right it will lift.

I ordered the total body bumper optimized matte body skin..the front screen protector is the glossy finish, but the sides and back are matte material. Honestly, the glossy sides and back looks way better then the matte material, and also the glossy gives a better grip. IMO, go for the bestskinsever total body gloss protectors..those are the best

I bought one for my S3, those things are so cheap and crappy I wasted my money. However I bought a nice from Draco Designs ( which wasn't cheap) but definitely quality. FYI I emailed them this morning and they replied that one for the S4 will be available next week.
So far I have had no case on my phone (about a month) and there are no scratches. I have only a "Just Like Glass" screen protector
This is what I just put on mine.

Not the metal trim ring around the phone itself, but the chrome bezel that's bordering the display has scratched fairly easily on both mine and my wife's with some minor drops. I definitely wish I would've got a case for outings sooner.
The aluminum trim around the outside of the phone however has remained scratch free on both.
Mine has a small ding in it, and I don't ever recall really dropping it. It does bother me though, and I'm certain I had to have dropped it at some point, as it's on the bottom.

I second the Neo Hybrid. I bought my S4 about a week ago (changed from the OG note) and spigen is completely wrapping it with the screen protector and the Neo since day 3 (had to order the case lol). it doesn't add too much bulk, it levels out the back so your phone isn't resting on your camera when you set it down and it provides a lip so you can set it face down and won't even touch the screen protector and for a total of $30 my phone is completely covered and not too much bulk added.
Also NFC works and rumor has it wireless charging should work too.
Its the best case I have purchased, Im about to buy the Glass Screens from Spigen.
I skipped the glas.t and went to their Ultra crystal screen protector. Over in the i717 section there's a HUGE thread going over the Glas.t and they started out awesome but the later posts say that they're getting peeling up after a couple months and was probably due to a change in the adhesive. Plus with the extra thickness of the glas.t the home button would be recessed, with the Ultra crystal the button is level with the screen protector. And at $7 for the ultra clear you get 2 and MUCH easier to apply.
Been completely naked on mine for about a month. No scratches on the glass, chrome bezel, faux metal ring around the outside, or battery cover. I don't drop my phone, haven't ever shattered a screen in 5 years of having a smart phone. I keep it alone in a pocket, and that's it. All my phones have been treated this way. The One X looked like it went to hell and back after a few months, but my iPhones, Captivate, S II, and Note II all survived really well. My wife is not so gentle, just throws it in her purse. So she has a flip case on my old Note II she is now using.
The only place I have seen any of these phones show wear is on the back when they rub when placed flat. On the S II it was the lip below the battery door. On the S 4 it seems to be the bottom lip of the chrome around the camera lens. That small section is scuffed. Otherwise this naked phone is pristine after a month of use.
