Hi!
XtremeGuard is offering a 75% off on screen protectors! Just use the coupon code 75off. A protector for the front and back costs 2.5$ including free shipping. Not a bad deal right?
Anyone has used XtremeGuard before? It will be my first time with a wet application screen guard!
Btw they have free international shipping, that's what got me going to purchase it! Woot.
Comments on the xtremeguard protector and whether is peels with cases on, like the ringke, the tpu case, official and poetic bumper!

top left and right cuts are prone to peel off. plus the orange peel effect. i know all wet sp have orange peel but bse that im using right now is much better than xg.

I have always used XG and there is no orange peel effect. I think you may be talking about the rubbery feel to it. The orange peel effect is seen more in matte screen protectors where it just doesn't feel very smooth.
I have an xtremeguard sp, and it had been great this far. The screen protector does have a bit odd orange peel effect, but not anything significantly noticeable. The screen protector is sticky off the bat, but it becomes less sticky after a couple days of use. I used furniture polish to make it a lot smoother. No peeling at the corners, but a tip for installing is to hold down the curved edges until it sticks.

I have used XG since I got the phone in November. Yes it does have a slight orange peel look when looking at it in an angle, but it's not bad. The first release didn't have the cutouts for the front proximity sensor and camera and that didn't play well with the phone at all, then when I got the cut out version, that sp was cut more precise. And I have used many cases with this sp and none have made the sp peel. Great sp for the price, especially with a coupon code.

The price make these really tempting. But how do they fare against the BSE screen protectors. Curious as I'm using that right now.

Worse than BSE in terms of orange peel texture and rubbery touch.
That's why XG is constantly having these huge sales.
I had a BSE on my phone, considering BSE is thinner, the texture of the protector is different than XtremeGuard which is a lot thicker. XtremeGuard has that rubbery feeling similar to Zagg protectors. I personally am dissapointed of this... But as someone has explained to me on G+, these are 3M protector used on cars and crafts in general to protect the paint from being damaged. If you're really adventurous and you don't like the rubbery feel of the product, you can use non abrasive car polish on it and it'll increase the glide to make it very similar to having no protector on it at all. But for the trouble it's worth, I prefer BSE hands down.
The installation did not take much time, scratches on the screen are not visible. But the phone still smells of soap.
Would advise using soaps with better aromas. I used Dettol handwash
Didn't have a good experience at all. The soapy water got the protector dirty and when I applied it, it looked really bad. Then try number 2, I applied it, and then I saw small, fine hairs underneath it. I tried again and again, but eventually gave up.
I hate wet sp applications...

Just bought a full body skin for £1.70. I'm happy with my BSE but these are definitely worth a try at that price
I have a Ballistic case and it rubs at the top and is peeling the top off a bit not to bad. On both mine and my wife's. It is a little rubbery and not as slick wife don't like it for texting (sliding finger around)

For me I'm happy with whatever will go on without a speck of annoying dust under the screen lol. Being wet or dry, I don't really care lol. For me the first SP I got was the XG and for the price, you can't beat it, well you can if you buy a case and they give you a free SP but nevermind about that lol....

First, the case's full name is Acase Superleggera Pro Hybrid dual layer Case for LG Google Nexus 4.
Link on amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B4I2GJU/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
FOr me, the seller shipped from IN, I dont know if they have any other branch. IAmazon said it would be delivered on Thursday, but I have received it on Wednesday.
I am not good at English, so I will use a lot of images to review this case. I also take picture the case with the Nexus 4 adapter, so you can compare the demensions.
The case fit perfectly to the phone.
The case has two layers which are seperated. One is soft and one is hard.
I have a back, front and body wet-protector, and this case haven't peel my protector yet. Hopefully it won't. However, with a soft cover, I dont think it will peel any corner off.
THe back of the hard part is smooth. Hence slippery or not, I think it depends on each person. For me, it's not slippery. But the fact is it's smooth, so it can fall off your hand if you're not careful.
Buttons can be used very easily.
I dont have a Wifi charger in case someone ask me for this.
Last thing, any grammar error?
EDIT and WARNING: Because this case has a ruber layer (it has two layers: the soft ruber one and the hard one), it collects dust very easy, especially when you put it in your jeans' pocket. This is no problem to me, with a fiber or tape, I can easily remove them.
I also confirm again, this case doesn't peel the corner of your screen protector off.
However, with the Ballistic one, it will peel your corner off very easily because the top and bottm of the ballistic aren't fixed. I have borrowed the Ballistic one from a friend and used it for two days, at the end of each day, I had to apply my screen protector again. If you need some images on the Ballistic one, tell me, I will do some for you.
Test.
Image part 3.
Looks like a good alternative to otter box. Thanks for sharing.

I also got this case in white, i absolutely love it except for the fact that it's white, and gets dirty if not taken care of. Other then that, it's awesome. I don't use it now, because i have lens for my phone camera, but when I did use it, i wasn't afraid of dropping it.

I'm still waiting for the Superleggera to arrive (7-10 days). As soon as I get it I'll update what I find, compared to Ballistic Shell Gel SG.
I tried the Ballistic one from a buddy of mine but I personally did not like it. The build quality is very good with the ballistic and it feels like it's going to protect the phone well. But from day to day usability it's not very practical.
The inside silicone piece of the Ballistic is very soft/loose. It fits the phone well but without the support of the hard shell it tends to come off. That is why some people complain that the top and bottom of this case is not very fitting, since there is no hard shell support there.
The soft silicone with the protruding corners of the case sometimes gets stuck taking in/out of pant pockets.
In the YouTube reviews and the pictures by OP by the look of the Superleggera, the silicone seems stiffer than the Ballistic and the hard shell supports all four sides, hence more form fitting than the Ballistic and should not have any pocket issue.

How slippery is this case? I'm assuming the hard case (outer cover) is, but not the inside tpu bit. Is that true? So can I remove the hard case and expose the tpu while setting it on an uneven surface?

Bought from atFolix on amazon.
Pros:
Fits with case
-Doesn't lose any screen quality
-Comes with 3 protectors for the front and 3 for the back
-Cuts are perfect
-Cheap compared to other nice screen protectors
-Comes with all the good accessories (to make the screen clear and take of the bubbles)
Cons
-Not the easiest screen protector to apply, I guess it is also my fault that I'm not really handy in those things!
You can buy it here:

I'm rocking one of these. Took all 3 of the front protectors to get it right (my fault as I haven't applied a protector for years).
The rear was no problem, using it with a ringke fusion and no lifting from the protector.
Have small scratch on the protector so will have to get another pack soon.
All in all a bargain at the price

I have the slightly frosted/matte effect ones by the same company. They're absolutely fine. Took a bit of work to fit them properly but they've kept my n4 in tiptop shape. I dropped it on a hard floor today, expected the worst and all was fine - not the first time. I suspect these films are helping there to some degree. Buy them. V good value!

I bought one for my S3, those things are so cheap and crappy I wasted my money. However I bought a nice from Draco Designs ( which wasn't cheap) but definitely quality. FYI I emailed them this morning and they replied that one for the S4 will be available next week.
So far I have had no case on my phone (about a month) and there are no scratches. I have only a "Just Like Glass" screen protector
This is what I just put on mine.

Not the metal trim ring around the phone itself, but the chrome bezel that's bordering the display has scratched fairly easily on both mine and my wife's with some minor drops. I definitely wish I would've got a case for outings sooner.
The aluminum trim around the outside of the phone however has remained scratch free on both.
Mine has a small ding in it, and I don't ever recall really dropping it. It does bother me though, and I'm certain I had to have dropped it at some point, as it's on the bottom.

I second the Neo Hybrid. I bought my S4 about a week ago (changed from the OG note) and spigen is completely wrapping it with the screen protector and the Neo since day 3 (had to order the case lol). it doesn't add too much bulk, it levels out the back so your phone isn't resting on your camera when you set it down and it provides a lip so you can set it face down and won't even touch the screen protector and for a total of $30 my phone is completely covered and not too much bulk added.
Also NFC works and rumor has it wireless charging should work too.
Its the best case I have purchased, Im about to buy the Glass Screens from Spigen.
I skipped the glas.t and went to their Ultra crystal screen protector. Over in the i717 section there's a HUGE thread going over the Glas.t and they started out awesome but the later posts say that they're getting peeling up after a couple months and was probably due to a change in the adhesive. Plus with the extra thickness of the glas.t the home button would be recessed, with the Ultra crystal the button is level with the screen protector. And at $7 for the ultra clear you get 2 and MUCH easier to apply.
Been completely naked on mine for about a month. No scratches on the glass, chrome bezel, faux metal ring around the outside, or battery cover. I don't drop my phone, haven't ever shattered a screen in 5 years of having a smart phone. I keep it alone in a pocket, and that's it. All my phones have been treated this way. The One X looked like it went to hell and back after a few months, but my iPhones, Captivate, S II, and Note II all survived really well. My wife is not so gentle, just throws it in her purse. So she has a flip case on my old Note II she is now using.
The only place I have seen any of these phones show wear is on the back when they rub when placed flat. On the S II it was the lip below the battery door. On the S 4 it seems to be the bottom lip of the chrome around the camera lens. That small section is scuffed. Otherwise this naked phone is pristine after a month of use.

I made a mistake of purchasing skinomi for my late iphone 4s. The supposed lifetime warranty is a load of baloney. Such a hassle to convince them that I needed replacement as the corners started to peel. And after days of dispute, I got my replacement but they wanted me to pay for shipping. $3 shipping on a $10 product. Never again. But your experience may differ.

Good to know about the warranty. That's partially why I said supposedly. I guess I haven't had it long enough to know the long term quality. For a short term cheap screen saver it seems to be pretty good.

Awesome, good luck. My first one did not apply well, it had some weird line-defect in it. Got a new one, and i love it. I've been using it about 5 weeks now, and I don't have any scratches or marks on it. A plastic screen protector would be scratched up in a few days.
I keep my phone in my jacket pocket, or back pants pocket.
I've been really happy with it.
Got a zagg only because its the only one Best Buy offered when i got my phone. Will definitely be getting the spigen tempered glass one next payday. I hate the feeling of screen protectors (especially zagg, feels like an orange peel). Glass is the only way to go. IMO its an expensive phone, no need to be a cheap charlie when it comes to protecting the screen. Just my .02 cents. 30 bucks for a tempered glass one that will fit properly isnt much.

Agreed. I have plastic on my tablet. just flipping and closing the smart cover is enough to cause huge scratches on it.

sorry for the late response. install was a breeze. I did however manage to get some dirt on the adhesive side of the glass right before I was about to place it on and freaked out for a bit after realizing the back side is pretty sticky and you cant simply wipe dirt off of it. Thankfully I had some sticky notes nearby and used the sticky side of the note and padded the adhesive side of the glass and it grabbed all the dirt right off

I didn't have this one but It went great.
What I did was do it after a hot shower (steamy), cleaned the screen with the included cloth and used the included stick repeatly to remove all dust.
when I see no dust on there, I quickly pealed off the red tab and aligned it before applying pressure and sticking it in place.
you can get a tempered glass S4 screen protector for $7 on ebay.. select US ONLY
I've gone through many screen protectors it's annoying. I had Xtremeguard, which ended up peeling off. I bought it again, in hopes of a different batch, but it kept peeling off! Then I tried Tech armor, which also peeled off! I have a crappy $2 white TPU case from eBay, but I'm thinking of buying the Ionic Guardian. (Please give me your opinion on this case, does it add any bulk? That's my main objective with cases) But the brands I'm considering to buy as a screen protector are SEIDIO, Spiget, iSmooth, Skinomi, Sir Lancelot (as a tampered glass, are these effective at all?) and Armorsuit. Oh, and I'm trying to stay under $30, Thanks for all the help!
ismooth is one of the best, their lifetime warranty and they stand behind it. Ive gotten replacements even if i dont really need them. Have had ismooth since when i had the gs3 that was about 2yrs ago now have it on n4 and coulnt be happier.
Ghost armor work well for me. I beat the hell out of my phone but my screen always stays nice.. There lifetime warranty as well.

The setup I use comes in at around £10 pounds (u.k) I like to do things on the cheap.
It includes a cheap tempted glass screen protector and a good quality case for the price.
You need a case that covers the phones edge to stop your fingers catching the sharp edge of the glass screen protector it also helps to keep it flush and stops dust/dirt getting under the glass.

I ended up buying this one since it's only $8! Does it ever peel back and have you had it for a bit?
I bought http://www.ultimateshield.co.uk i havent installed yet because i'm going home in a few days il report back.
I had a Skinomi until recently. Sadly, it wasn't compatible with the Seidio case I just got, and had to ditch it. I will be trying he Siedio skin that came with my case this weekend and report how it compares.
Will be hard to beat the Skinomi tho, I really liked that one.
I'm using the Spigen SGP Steinheil SP. It fits well and is easy to apply, and has protected my screen for 1 year with no scratches

Sorry its took a while just seen the post.
The screen savour doesn't lift because its a smaller diameter then the screen by a good 3 mm . That's why a case that comes to the edge of the screen is really needed but when on with the case it looks o.k. . If I can find a decent camera I will post a few shots if you haven't already got yours.

I'm using 3m Vikuity protection for a couple of months and NO problems with these kind of screen/back protectors. I was having also cheap versions and finaly the quality Vs money definetly goes to known brands !!
Spigen Ultra Crystal, compatible with any bumpers/case protectors since the design of the edges doesnt interfere with em.
