For some reason for every sense Rom I use com.android.phone crashes. I have no clue whats causing it and I've been stuck on Cyanogenmod because of it. I've used Clean rom, Sense 5 rom from evo port, and sense 5 rom from M7. All of which have done the same thing for me.
Please help with my issue
thanks in advance community

Then why does it work fine with any AOSP Rom :l
Oh, that slipped my mind. I don't know. My fiance's XL won't even boot Sense ROMs but runs aosp fine, it's weird.

OP did manage to fix this issue. He doesn't seem to be updating this thread so I will for future searchers.
CWM caused this issue.
OP flashed a non touch version of CWM
Then fastboot erase cache
then flashed a sense rom and it worked.
He then flashed twrp and fastboot erase cache again so as to get off CWM.
Hopefully others find this.
-_- so much for quitting XDA.

nope once you've taken the update you get a new HBOOT and it's impossible to downgrade after that.
I thought you could do a factory reset and it would return you to 1.85?

Nope. A factory reset just clears all user data. You'll end up with a fresh version of whatever software your phone is running at the time. Unfortunately there is no going back from 2.20 at the moment.

Hello fellow XDA'ers!!!!
Does anyone have links on the flashing extra partitions for WiFi on other roms? I updated (big mistake) so now my WiFi does not work on any other roms, it only works on the stock rom!!! Any fixes anyone?
Help is much appreciated!
(I want the better battery life on trickdroid!)
If you don't have links, or anything else about the extra partions, do you have any alternatives?
Thanks!

I'm knowingly about to do the same because I ran into an issue with my stock ROM so I'll be looking for a fix as well. I'll follow this thread but If I find a solution first I'll let you know.
Ok, thanks a lot!

So, when I do get the update (I'm with T-Mobile) for JB, will it work, like will the partition work its self, or will I still have to flash?
Thanks

Sorry, I'm not getting you, your with T-Mobile, right? So you downgraded hboot by bricking your phone, right? So at one point you had a Custom ROM with JB, right?

Nope not on T-Moblie and not even in the US lol. Ya I downgraded days after it come out which is way before JB come out and when JB did come out I flashed the radio and wifi partitions. I'm Viper 2 rom and see people have issue with wifi and it seem to be T-Mobile users so for a test today I flash the radio and wifi from the RUU that I last used which was when 4.0.4 come out and wifi still worked which make me believe there is something different in the wifi partition that T-Mobile uses and my guess for that is the wifi calling you have over there.
I've tried just about everything to get it to work. I've tried using it after a factory reset, tried using different camera apps, with no success. The ffc works fine it's only when I try to use the rear camera that the app crashes and then none of the camera's work. Please help. The camera is one of my main uses on this phone.

You can try running an RUU, or trying another ROM which doesn't use Sense camera drivers like CM10.1.

What specific files do you need? Running a CM10.1 ROM, so you can try using that.
I can happily provide the files you need, just ask for the name and I can give them. However I don't think it will work, since you have already tried multiple ROMs.

Hi
In cases like this I recommend to use warranty rights, you can safely recover your device, otherwise, if not !, use different ROMS or RUU's, if its not working you can make a step up and open up your device and take a look if there is any problem .
"IF I HELPED YOU ! HIT THANKS BUTTON"
.
I've recently flashed a ROM built on 4.4.2 and I tried to enable encryption. It seems to have gone halfway and it keeps crashing. I wiped the phone and wanted to start over. Well, now every time I boot, I have to enter the password to unlock the encrypted phone. I've tried everything to tried to get rid of this encryption including factory reset and it just won't go away. Anyone have any ideas how I can get rid of the encryption??
Thanks!!!
Try running an RUU, it's your best chance.

I don't think you have a choice at the moment, you're gonna have to flash the ROM again. It's important to have a TWRP backup on your phone for this reason. It's also very important to understand what you're installing when you're installing it, Xposed modules included.

Sorry dude, just make sure once you've got your ROM set up again you use the backup feature in TWRP to backup system/data/boot. Then if you get into trouble in future you can restore it easily.
