[Q] TF300T Bootloader unlocking - Assistance requested - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey folks!
So I got my happy shiny TF300T (red, snazzy-like) and dock from a recent Woot sale. Naturally I go to root it, and find all the guides/tools necessary to do so (not a pro, but not my first rodeo). After some frustration and failed efforts, I discover that my issue (unlocker not connecting) is not uncommon, so I go through the rigamarole of contacting Asus and have given my serial and wifi MAC to their support. I'm on JB 4.1.1, and was using Unlocker Tool v7.
There have been several oddities leading up to this, however. The s/n rubbed off of the sticker on the bottom just in the 15 minutes of handling it before I knew I'd need it. Never fear, right? I just check the Settings > About Phone > Status section. Looks legit, so I go to register it to my Asus account. No dice. Talking to a support rep, I'm informed my serial is 1 character short of what it might need to be. I dig up the box and find the s/n on that, however it does not match what is displaying on the device, and ADB reports it as being this 'short' serial. I'm presuming it got muxed up during the repair/refurb process (it's a refurb).
Loading into the bootloader, I see four icons, RCK (recovery I presume?), the Android logo (to boot into the regular OS), a USB icon (I'm guessing this has to do with Fastboot or something but am unsure), and the Wipe Data option. Is it possible this device is already unlocked, as I'm not sure it would have the USB icon if not (I've not had a lot of luck really looking around for info on the 'stock' bootloader just yet).
I guess my first question is, what are the details of these bootloader options, and what might be my steps for proceeding if there is in fact a critical mismatch of serials? I'll note the serial on the box is grossly different from the truncated serial on the device itself, though the one on the box registered to my account without issue.
My second question is, can I do anything about this mismatch of serials on my own, or am I doomed to have to try to RMA, foot those costs, and hope it ends up working out as I'm expecting?
Looking forward to your helpful replies!
EDIT: It is build 10.4.2.9-20120809

The 4.1 bootloader which you have uses volume up on usb to allow fastboot access. You have the rest correct.
Look in the upper left of the screen while booting and if the tablet is unlocked you will see unlocked.
I suggest not using the wipe data on the bootloader menu instead you can use factory reset in settings (this is just for future info).
There is a US Asus rep who posted somewhere in the tf300 forum that he would take info from US users and try to get the serial number issues resolved.
I'll have a look around and report if I find the thread.

"an unknown error occurs... " while trying to unlock tf700 (with v7)

I´m having a problem with unlocking.....
I have the "an unknown error occurs, which may be a network connection issue. Please wait and try again later."
I've seen that many people have had this problem and signing up for the device tracker would be a good idea. I tried to sign myself up for the device tracker (to check if my serial number is in their data base). This didn't work, so I called the asus support and they told me that the device tracker doesn't work and that they're on it (which I highly doubt)... But I did ask them the question whether they could see if my serial number is registered there. They said that when they typed my serial number they saw that it was connected to my email-account so they thought this was the answer to the question. I don't really know whether it is, but I still can't sign up for device tracker or unlock the tablet....
Please help! (The motivation ship is sinking...)
Also I have changed all the settings correctly I think: Two-step-verification = disabled, apps with lower security = enabled, usb debugging = on, unknown sources = on
Mailing tech support
I have send the following mail to support and I'm awaiting their response....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Asus support,
After having bought this product of yours a couple of years ago, it now runs like a slug. That is why I would like to unlock my tablet using the unlock tool (the 7th version) supplied by your site. It is not working however and I keep getting this message: "An unknown error occurs, which may be a network connection issue. Please wait and try again later.". Now I have read on multiple forums that many people have experienced this problem already and that the fault lies with the asus server and not with my tablet. I know that you will need my serial number and mac adress which I've put below so that you can send the information to the main server in Taiwan. I will be happy to provide you any other information you might need.
Furthermore I think it is very foolish to enforce such a vague policy regarding unlocking, which in the long term will only lose you your reputation and your customers (and therefore money). All I want is for this unlocker tool to finally work. I will not stop until this problem is finally resolved, so please do not try to brush me of your shoulders....
serial number: /////////
Wifi mac adress: ////////
Kind regards,
Kostis
Receiving support
The customer support was quite friendly actually.
They did not say anything about not supporting unlocking and sent my status information to their main office immediately. They said they corrected the database, but I´m still not able to unlock my tablet. So now I really wonder what could be the problem.....
anyone????
I just had this same problem, resolved in mid-May.
I started a phone desk request since I didn't have a serial in Settings ->about tablet in mid-April. That was fixed quickly, thanks to xda.
THEN I was told that my serial number was for a motherboard, not a tablet.
After struggling to get them to understand and not just dismiss the unlock issue, I got the ASUS helpdesk to send the information to Taiwan (TW) for the server upgrade, I waited two weeks with no answer back. When I checked in, letting them know I was still waiting, they told me TW had updated the information. I had other things to worry about by then, so a week later, the tablet unlocked easily (on the third try.) The problem is, as stated in another thread, pairing of the MAC address and the serial number in the TW database.
Try a few times. If it still doesn't work, and you get the bogus network communication error, it's back to the emails. Continue by replying to the last one; they have different people answering to the same name so track by number. There are at least two servers: If they didn't state it was an update to the TW server specifically, that's the problem.
IF you get to the Google log in, and it doesn't go, or it says you have the wrong info (password, user name warning), TRY AGAIN. and again, and again. Eventually, Google will ask you if you want to change the correct setting. Check your email at this step too: I was using my daughter's account on her tablet, but Google even sent her a message stating they had blocked a hack attempt on her account... with someone who KNEW HER PASSWORD! We approved the device thru Google (links on the email) and we were golden.
(BOY did I have an issue with getting ASUS techs to even admit that there was a way to update the TW server... the ASUS device tracker is no more: ASUS won't be supporting it any longer, since Google has their Mobile Device Tracker up and running. They'll tell you that unlocking the device means you can't track too, which is definitely not true. --tested)
My daughter's 700 is now running on Crombie-KK (with patch), 'cause while she's an aerospace engineer (almost), she doesn't "get" computers.
TF 300 on firmware still (needs research), but unlocked and rooted for digitizer board update
TF700T with LCD issues, trying to resolve
Thanks XDA!!
I´m happy that the issue is resolved for you, however they did specifically say they updated the information on the Taiwan servers for me 2 times. So should I just keep pushing and telling them that they are bull****ting me and they should try again?

I would say it more tactfully; you don't have to be nasty to get decent service from them, as tempting as it gets.... As Droidbound says, "you need to be a Polite PIA." (If they send you the survey, be direct and honest, but be professional.)
I would also call the phone "help line" for the (don't tell them) serial number using only your MAC address and make sure that the information they give you matches what shows on your status screen. THEN have them check to be sure that the same serial number is actually linked to a tablet, not a motherboard. Call twice, using each call server. Add this information to the line of emails that you have already started.
If you haven't already, make sure you have the correct version of the "version 7" unlocker. Doesn't hurt to doublecheck.
Keep in mind it did take me several tries to get the unlocker to actually work, even after they updated the TW server. I have read stories of the unlocker not working for up to 50 tries, and then it miraculously does.
My TF701t is giving me the unknown error when I try and unlock, too. The machine is out of guarantee, but it had a new motherboard fitted under guarantee and I guess the problem is that it has a different serial number. I have emailed support repeatedly, giving them both original and new S/Nos and the MAC address, and they seem to have trouble understanding my simple request to ensure their database carries the correct information. In fact, I'm not sure the person responding always reads to the end of the thread because they keep repeating questions and suggestions.
I have registered the new serial number, but they say that the unlock tool still won't work because the new serial number will be recognized as a motherboard not a device.
Their only suggestion is to send the machine in as the "software may have been injected incorrectly" - does that imply that the serial number could have been set to the original but wasn't? - but as the thing is out of guarantee that will be at my expense.
Keep in mind that the 701 is a different creature than the 700. However, it does sound like the problem is the same as mine was.
The real problem is the server in Taiwan (TW) does not have the proper, updated serial number (and maybe MAC address) for your new motherboard linked to your tablet on their database. (yes, you got the correct answer, but maybe not the correct correction) This is part of the warranty work you had done, but it wasn't completed. You do NOT need to send in your tablet again. This isn't an installed software problem: it's a paperwork problem.
That being said:
First things first: does your settings information show a serial number? If so, half the battle is won already, even if it's the new one. If there's not a serial number, search xda for serial number programming: it worked for me when my tablet did not show one internally. (if I were to do this again, I'd try to put in the old serial just to see what would happen in the unlocking but I'm a maverick that way... lol)
The fight comes in when you're trying to have them update the server in TW. I think the thing that worked for me was sending an email to [email protected]. I don't know if Tien works there anymore, but the email WILL go through, and his section worked out in 2012 or 13 how to fix the issue. It WILL get done.
In the email, give them the RPA number when the warranty work was done (if you still have it), the old serial and MAC number, and the new serial and MAC number. You can openly state unlocking purposes.
Give it about 2 weeks after the email. You will want to check your ASUS account for any followup: i didn't get any communication directly, but a new RPA was started.
Loads of thanks for that. You're correct, I should be in the TF701t bit of the forum, I ended up here by accident but the problem is exactly the same and the necessary fix the same.
Mailing UK support is completely useless, they are not at all helpful, beyond offering to examine my tablet for £50 minimum charge.
My settings shows a serial number, which is different from the original, and I have given both to support. I don't think I have my old MAC address, though; but I do have the repair details so I will try your polite email to Taiwan technique and let you know how it progresses.
Thanks again. More help in one email than in multiple daily exchanges with Asus.

if this is when you try to unlock the bootloader i had same problem mine was a refurbished product
i finally fixed and unlocked the bootloader after months of trying to figure it out
i forgot what i frigen did to unlock the bootloader
i think i just deleted all my accounts like google play and gmail from the tablet and then did the unlock and worked
im not 100 percent sure if thats what i did cause i dont rmemeber well
give it a try and hopefully it works easy
Well I emailed them a while back. The email was given a unique number on their support site, but nothing has happened.
I have tried the delete all google accounts, I'm sure the problem in my case is the serial number. One unhelpful uk support reply just said "it won't work because your serial number is now the motherboard number not the machine number" and "send it in we'll fix it it will cost at least £50". Thanks a bunch.
I'm getting quite fed up with this, it should really be so easy, the poor support means I won't be buying another Asus product.

EXACTLY the problem I had.
Unfortunately, the poor children answering phones and emails only have scripts to read: they seem to recognize only key words and have canned responses. No, they don't keep notes on your account, so you get the same answers and suggestions over and over. This can be played against them, for their understanding of your problem.
You do NOT need to send in the tablet. This is a data entry problem, not a software problem.
I agree with the level of support. unfortunately, the drive for "younger workers" and lower wages that a company prefers does not corroborate with the level of brain power inclusive in anyone who searches xda for answers, let alone someone who will post. Stick to your guns, and demand (nicely, remember they're just working people) that they update the server. Check on your new RPA and see if it has gone through.....
and try to unlock again. It's been four long months.....Maybe it will work this time.

Options with Motorola Razr M at Red Eye

Hi, first time poster hoping for some help with my first encounter with Red Eye at bootup. I have a stock phone. I don't really care about the phone but my wife really wants the pictures off it. It doesn't have an SD card or cloud backup and the pictures are on internal memory. I am able to get into the boot options (like AP fastboot) but I do not know what the options will do for me exactly. Can I choose an option that may fix the phone but will not wipe the memory? Is there any possiblity a PC can see the phone at the Red Eye screen if I connect with USB(would a certified Verizon data cable help?) Would actually opening the phone and doing some sort of mod get me any closer to retrieving pictures? I am a complete novice at this kind of thing and only have experience with PC hardware and software and the like.

none of those options will be of any direct help, however fastboot may be used to try and fix it later.
first,
- do you know what caused it to become like this?
- is it bootloader unlocked? if you dont know what that is, there will be some dialogue on the fastboot screen. status code=0 locked or similar.
- do you know what version it was on? if you dont know, did you always update when available? would likely mean latest version.
- do you have a windows pc available, with a usb 2 port, and a cable to connect the phone to it?
edit,
ultimately, this is where we are headed, if you want to take a look at it. specifically the "rsd flasher". i was going to go another route, but this is probably a more direct option.
the rsd flasher will take you to another site, and is made by samuri. im not real familiar with his tool, but know its good. just will save me time in having you tear the fxz apart and flash certain things.
**note, im not sure if this phone was made for multiple carriers, this will only be relevant when getting the correct fxz file. samuri will know more about this than i would.

Not exactly sure what happen to the phone. My wife tells me one minute it was charged at 26% and working fine, the next moment it was 'dead'.
It is locked with a status of 0
My Wife says if the phone had automated updates(if stock phone is configured that way) then yes she has all the updates. If updates require manual intervention then it's probably not updated.
Yes, I have a Windows PC with 2 USB ports and a generic data cable that fits the phone.
I'm looking at the post you linked too now... Thanks again for your help!

no problem
its likely your phone is fully updated, but since we arent 100% sure, its going to be best to go with the most current file. reason being, because you are locked, you can only flash = or forward. if you try to flash back, it will either not work, or bootloop. usually not work.
it would probably be best if you continued this in @SamuriHL's thread for the rsd flasher. he is very helpful, will likely be able to quickly point you to the most current file, and will be able to answer any questions about the tool where i wouldnt.

[Completed] How can I unlock my phone?

Hi!, I have a RAZR D3 (XT919). It ships with Android 4.1.2, but I upgraded it to 4.4.2. A few days ago, I dropped it, and the screen shattered, the screen itself it's not broken, I mean, it displays what it needs to, but half of the screen lost the "touch" capabilities, meaning that I can't input my unlock pattern. I've tried everything in order to be able to unlock it (do not ask why I need it to be unlocked, I just NEED it unlocked), I tried through ADB, but, USB debugging is not enabeld (it actually IS enabled, but I can't confirm the debugging access to my pc because it does not show up the window that asks for confirmation, and, even if it did, I would not be able to tap it not because of the broken screen, because I think the touch part that is still working is in range, but because it would not let me tap it in the unlock screen), I tried through flashing a zip file (actually, lot's of them) that in theory disabled the pattern... yet, no luck (I'm aware that I may needed to input a random pattern, it didn't worked), I tried a file manager made for recovery mode, didn't worked either. So, in short terms, I tried tons of things to unlock the damn phone (factory reset is not an option) and nothing works. I just don't know what to do, I will be buying a new one, of course, but I need it unlocked right now. Oh, I also tried with a USB-OTG cable with either the pc keyboard and mouse, the device simply does not support it. So... yeah, I'm pretty much screwed. Don't be afraid to post any complicated solution, just keep in mind, to make it as clear as possible, thanks for caring and I hope somebody would be able to help me!

Samsung FRP bypassing to install TWRP on passworded device WITHOUT data wipe

Hi
Hopefully my title/question isn't too cryptic.
I am a Note 4 user and have been flashing ROM's (thank you Dr.Ketan) and RECOVERY's for a few years now, but on a fairly basic level - so I'm no programmer.
However the issue I have today, that I cannot seem to resolve, is with my wife's Samsung J3 (J320FN) on 5.1.1 stock.
She's let our daughter play with it and our daughter has put a password on the lockscreen but can't remember what it was (or more likely won't tell us what it is).
My initial thought was to install TWRP then view data/system to delete the 3 lockscreen files. Voila! I've done this before on her previous J3 (that she destroyed when she dropped it down the toilet).
However on her new J3 I didn't have the foresight to enable USB debugging or OEM unlock so when I go to flash TWRP, it fails due to FRP.
I've researched on here / Youtube / other sites and can see various methods of getting around this (e.g. rootjunky's method) but they involve going into stock recovery and performing a factory reset / wipe.
But we don't want to wipe the data.
My wife hasn't backed up her phone via KIES and when I asked her for her password for her Samsung account or Google account to see if she had backups online, I got that blank look that a non-technical person gives you when you ask them for their password to help them out with something.
So ultimately we want to get past the lockscreen password to get into the phone, clear the lockscreen password, back up her data / images etc., and reset her Samsung account password (if she set one up) and the Google password.
Am I missing the obvious here? Can it be done? Can TWRP be installed in a manner that bypasses FRP?
Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Update: I tried flashing the stock ROM which "seemed" to work, but it didn't change anything. The phone still booted to the password screen.

Doesnt require a reset at least I don't think. I just did this on a s7 edge last week and can confirm it works. I used NFC android beam to beam the apk to the s7 edge that way it was in the internal storage of the s7

If it's just a lock screen issue try wondershare dr fone android recovery. Theres an option to bypass lock screen
Thanks for the reply droseofc
I tried your link and used Realterm (as per rootjunky instructions) but because the phone was locked, the commands brought up a locked error.
I tried Android Beam to send a file and then I tried by bluetooth (the J3 has bluetooth switched on). But nothing. I think it is because it locked at the password stage that it won't allow anything to be received that way.
I do own a copy of Dr/Fone Wondershare and I did try that before, however there are only certain phones supported for some features and the J3 isn't one of them.
It's a tough nut to crack!
I shall keep trying.
Cheers!
If you could get into the samsung account online theres a feature on samsung find my phone to unlock the phone screen. Id try resetting samsung password, usually some type of verification is only needed and most of the time a reset link sent to the email on account. What about calling the phone to bypass the lock screen, or if you flash twrp and access the files through twrp to make a backup or hook to pc and drag and copy folders wanted kept. On some phones if the password is entered wrong a certain amount of times itll prompt for a backup pin which may b easier. Although on some phones factory reset automates after a certain amount of incorrect attempts too.

Reread title and realize twrp is what ur trying to do. If usb debugging is enabled there are adb commands you can send to phone to access frp setting
---------- Post added at 08:26 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:23 AM ----------
Lol and reread post, no usb debugging. You could try factory recovery and pull a backup using adb. Idk if usb debugging has to be enabled for factory recovery or not. If you reflashed a stock file it shouldve completely wiped internal storage. What is the lock screen exactly
Hi
I had tried adb to try and sideload a rootjunky apk but that didn't work (probably because I didn't really know what I was doing lol).
Yes, the TWRP wouldn't install because of the FRP.
We got the Google account password (reset it) and then went to Android Device Manager > Lock and set a new password.
Just when I did that there was a small blue message under the ADM that stated that the phone was now locked BUT since it already had a password on the lock screen the new one wouldn't be needed.
I thought that ADM would set a new password lock for the phone because that's what I had seen in some Youtube videos. But apparently it will set a new password for the lock screen if the previous lock method was code or pattern - but not if there was already a password.
I tried the "calling the phone > answering > backing out of the phone app" method, but that didn't work.
I tried entering the password multiple times to get the 30 second wait, hoping that after trying this many times I would get an option of "Forgot Password" and a reset link. But nope. Not having it.
I wish I had thought of trying to get into a Samsung account but the wife seemed adamant that she hadn't set one up to start with so that wasn't at the forefront of my mind.
So I went recovery > wipe / factory reset in the hope that I could use my Dr.Phone to recover deleted files. A bit of a long shot but worth a go as that programme has done wonders in the past.
However, due to FRP when I am at the setup screen I am asked to enter the email address associated with the Google Account that was on the phone before. To be expected of course. However entering the Google account login details isn't working now so I've just been to my local Maplins (like Radio Shack I guess) and bought an OTG adaptor.
I'm now going to try and follow another one of rootjunky's videos to bypass the FRP (I tried the most recent one where he used another phones wifi to tether to but it wouldn't work).
I've not heard of the adb. Idk command you mention but I'll do a search on it to see how it is used.
What a ton of messing to get to this stage. But I like doing this stuff anyway so the challenges are welcome.
Once the OTG method works I need to root the phone to get Dr.Fone to work as from previous experience with the old J3, it needs root to work.
Having fun!
Cheers
(PS. "What is the lock screen exactly" - the screen that comes up after boot and prompts you for a password / pattern / code to get to the home screen. Not sure if that is what you meant in your question though).
Idk if u tried this method but i did successfully after a reset done the way you did and to bypass the same dilemma you describe. http://www.bane-tech.com/samsung-frp-bypass-universal-method/ the trickiest part is probably catching the phone in time after the call screen pops up after entering commands in realterm. I suggest watching the video and pausing as you go to make sure each step is done.

As for lock screen i was meaning more like was it pin, pattern, password, fingerprint etc. But since you are passed that id recommend the method that involves frp apk to phone, you may have a hard time with that without nfc, u may be able to sideload it using stock recovery and hooking to a pc, idk if the pc will recognize it as storage though. There are adb commands to send files to a phone, you may be able enter adb via recovery. Unless u have a sd slot or a usb that also has the phone mini usb on other end and u could put apk on usb and plug usb into phone and navigate to it when needed.
---------- Post added at 02:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:24 PM ----------
Once you got that all done id recommend using deft to recover files, its a linux distro, free and can be used without installing aka live. Its said to be used by law enforcement and military. Theres also a manual download which id suggest having just in case. Itd be the most thorough way of recovery but also requires a bit of focus as its advanced. Otherwise there are several android recovery programs, most working the best if phone is rooted.
ironically I received a J3 j320r that is google lock out. Basically i fix or clean/upgrade pcs/cells just by word of mouth and today got the j3. definitley can not use that root junky method, the realterm shows error on each command send. it does have a sd card slot though, but need to access dialer somehow. you figure any ways out?

I have had my J3 almost two weeks I'm almost sure it has the latest security patch and I can not get a keyboard to pop up I even went as far as Copying Pasting almost a full account info registration but was short one # to complete it it has One # A 8..well Ive exhaustied most steps I'm hoping today I can finally use MY less then two week old FRP locked J320W8 LOL..any help would be great but yes I get stuck without keyboard

At this same time i had a zte warp 7 that was similar in setup but didnt have samsung nemore to test but should still work. Alls you may need to do is another reset because the keyboard should pull up.
The farthest i got into the phone itself is by resetting it through recovery, and when the phone first turns on it asks you if you want to enable accessibility. This is the only time it will ask so if you miss it u have to reset again. But click on accessibility and enable talkback and switch access. With switch access it will popup a tutorial u can skip or do. But with switch access on you can swipe down and to the right which will bring up a menu, i went to switch access settings and gesture control and customized the side double tap to recent apps. With the swipe down and to right i believe i clicked talkback settings and through that i was able to get to the phone settings. You have to get to app settings i cant remember exactly how but its only possible with switch access on. Once you do you can swipe down and to right to turn off switch access which will turn itself back on if u turn screen off and back on jst n case u need it to get back as its easier with it off once u get where u need, but can only get there with it on, sometimes depending on wat u click it'll take u back to setup wizard where its locked, turn screen off back on and doubletap or swipe down right to get recent apps or settings again. In the app settings i went through each one and enabled what i thought to help such as internet browser security settings allowing access to each. If you force stop and clear data on the setupwizard (green one I think) it will reenable the swipe down bar up top. I got as far as logging in google account using a chrome browser popup by clicking one of the terms and conditions links. Got notified of log in and everything but still locked out. Wouldnt install apps no matter what i tried.

Ive actually been thinking of writing google about this whole frp thing. I dont see how they see they are empowered to lock devices out completely because of a different account being used to log in. I understand why they think they need to do it. But if the phone wasnt reported lost by the owner it should be considered that the owner is fully aware the phone is being used on a different account. Android is google but the phone purchased by the owner is not. Its up to the owner to decide if the pbones lost or stolen, not google. Sure this may have saved a few stolen phones, but every stolen pjone could be by their owners taking the responsible steps. Itd be like selling a car that is somehow linked to owner (fingerprint, insurance whatever) and dodge or gmc locking the car down because of it. Causes issues for people and not just the stolen ones. Isnt it generally wrong to punish an entire society because of a small group who break the rules? (Obamacare) There is PLENTY of data tracking and options for the owner of the phone to track their phone, lock it, wipe it and report it (also for google to know everything you do, everything) that google should not be able to or need to automatically lock a device because it was logged in with a different account UNLESS the OWNER reports it stolen. After all it is the owners phone. Unless its on contract then once its reported stolen the carrier can do what they need to for recovery. Google should release their grasp on society a little bit, stop default enable tracking our location, our voice searches, our internet searches, our lives unless we turn it on and shouldnt lock out OUR devices unless WE report it stolen. Google has got to be in with the military and i aint tryn to go conspiracy talks here but with everything that they are allowed to control and have, google earth images of things normally that would be thought questionable to see with stamps on the screen stating where the image is from (us navy etc.) I do not think the us military would allow aerial photos to be displayed by a company of their us military bsses unless it was the us military displaying them

Well I went through everything and no switch access at anytime at all..would I have better luck making my friend an "account" before getting to that sign in part I get "no keyboard in"? Or will it just tell me what its been telling me...Your app and functions or whatever have been revoked or not permittee some kinda thing like that.. I m guessing this may the very latest security patch and it shut down accessibility options keyboard options and getting past sign in options I get as far as google terms click on it and one click I have browser but when I try sign in from browser no keyboard and when I copy and paste I get sent back to main FRP screen again without my PIN I've entered being enabled as well

Its going to be near impossible to login without a keyboard popup and sorry about the switchback thing, must be a zte setting. Youve reset the phone using recovery? Power off, hold vol up, home and power until it turns on and let go should get u to recovery. Factory reset, delete cache reboot. Should take you to initial setup until you get to google login part where you will need to log in with same account used the first time phone was setup. Is the phone asking for a pin or does it say this phone has been reset in an unusual way or whatever and to log in with owner google account? If its just the pin screen and u havent reset it id maybe hold off as it may be easier to get through that than the google frp lock. If you have a mini usb to usb otg adapter you could plug adapter in phone and use a pc keyboard, or if u have a rooted phone laying around you can use usb keyboard app which when plugged in is the same as a keyboard. Its not going to help with any amount of accounts made if you have no way of typing them in at that log in screen. If you have factory reset and it does get to google login screen asking for first owner login and no keyboard popup there had to be an issue and i would download/redownload stock firmware and flash in odin because if its asking for a login it should definitely have a way fof entering that in. The only time ive had no keyboard popup is when i have set the default input method to something other then samsung keyboard like sixaxis controller which needs switched back to use keyboard

If u havent reset the phone and it is a pin and if u had enabled usb debugging prior to the phone being locked you may have options. If usb debugging is not enabled or if u did reset it options become slimmer. I have heard that not trying to login on the device for 72 hour will reset the account thing and allow a login. Not sure if it works, never had the patience.

I found by trying whatever i could theres some way of getting to the settings itself. Easiest was by getting the google app to pull up and searching settings. I did this by getting to the app settings from talkback options and finding someway of getting to its app settings and then clicking menu and going to all apps. From there you could find keyboard and make sure its allowed access to each option. If google app doesnt list settings as a option you will have to make sure in app settings you enable access to phone/storage and then it should. I clicked basically every option available in every route there was and some was dead end, some would get into areas not available before. If your issue is keyboard id try to get to its settings by trying everyroute u can and enabling access for it and every application you think may be helpful in getting where you need. I found when its locked out nearly every app has no access to any features by default so for instance keyboard may not have access to phone and wont popup when needed. You will need to show system apps once in the app settings by clicking menu up top. You may also want to go to apps that can change system settings and enable ones that appear useable. If u get there u can also force stop setupwizard and clear data which will allow bar up top to be pulled down making getting there a whole lot easier. Dont get hopes up, i did all of this and in the end gave up. Without being able to install apps its kind of hard to bypass. May have been a simple enable of whatever installs apps to allowing access but didnt find. The last thing i did try which may have worked was getting another phone and turn on hotspot and on locked phone connecting to it at wifi screen and as soon as it goes to checking connection screen turning off the hotspot and phone should go to screen asking for first and last name. U could do this with wifi just easier to turn off on hotspot. It may take a few tries and probably will. 9/10 times itll say there was an error and go back to wifi setup. I was able to enter name and setup a lock for the screen. Didnt venture further. Also when i did get to settings and went to backup and reset clicking reset didnt do anything. This is the way to reset without getting frp locked out but the option was disabled.
I bought the phone I didn't set up anything BC I was charging the phone until I would be back later on that night...babysitter as smart as she is signs in with her account BC its a brand new phone that MAKES you sign in to get the most as she put it..SMH..any who she replaced my phone I the box where I left it didnt sign out properly so my SON showed her how a Hard Reset is done!! Yeah you get the picture right ?! So that's my brand new phone with a DAMN FRP lock on it..oh yeah it dont matter if you've got the receipt or not anymore they say..???? Isn't that the whole reason behind a Sales Receipt?? Not gthe whole reason but yeah...long story short I have an Awesomely Rooted KLTE device and I was wondering where I may be able to find this app? My problem is.
A couple of months my s7 edge panel broke, so today i repaired it and saw that it had a pattern lock. So i forgot completely and i thought something would help me ro bypass it without losing the data but nothing helped.
1. I don't remember the pattern
2. Usb debugging is disabled.
3. Cant install twrp because of frp lock
4. The Google account password is already changed so i can't use ADM.
5. There is no mobile data or wifi enabling.
Now help me out plz.
If anyone can ask for further to research i can tell.

[GUIDE] Xiaomi Qin F21 Pro with US Bands

Xiaomi Qin F21 Pro with US Bands
LTE Bands 2, 4, 12, 13, 17, 66, 71 as provided by the US Qin F30 Kosher.
Things you need:
Windows PC (as far as I know this only works on Windows)
Qin F21 Pro with unlocked bootloader and TWRP installed.
See: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tools-mod-scripts-mlgmxyysds-qin-f21-pro-unlock-tool.4368277/
(This can be a headache, there are probably better ways to do this.)
See: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...om-firmware-root-playstore-certified.4405615/
You only have to follow this tutorial up to the point of installing the boot_2.img in TWRP you do not have to root if you don't want to. I do believe most of us with F21's probably have already done this entire tutorial though.
SP Flash Tool: See tutorial above, it comes with it.
ADB (and please know how to use it): https://www.xda-developers.com/install-adb-windows-macos-linux/
The files I provide with this link Which are: F30 files (from my purchased F30), my edited scatter file to show new partitions, SN Write tool with provided Database files.
https://www.mediafire.com/file/3fba0dugos3lkdv/F30_US_LTE_Bands_Package.zip/file
I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF YOUR PHONE DOESN'T BOOT, SOFT/HARD BRICKED! THIS TUTORIAL IS TO DO AT YOUR OWN RISK!
GUIDE:
1. Write down your F21's Original IMEI, Wifi Mac Address, and Bluetooth Address.
Go into your phone settings and scroll all the way down to "About Phone".
Here you will find your IMEI, Device Wi-Fi MAC address, and Bluetooth address.
WRITE THESE DOWN!!!!!!!! YOU NEED THESE LATER!!!!!!! I even included a txt file for you to do it in!
We want to write these down because we will need them for the SNwriter tool later.
2. Turn off your phone and boot into TWRP, you can do this by holding the heart/owl key (top left) and the * (star, bottom left) key, you will see the Douqin Logo. Keep holding until TWRP boots.
3. Plug the F21 into computer and TWRP will allow ADB connections. We are going to use ADB to pull/backup your modem and identifier files in case you mess up =)
DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP. WE WILL BE OVERWRITING THESE FILES - THEY CONTAIN THE IDENTIFIERS THAT YOU WROTE DOWN ABOVE.
Even though we will no longer be using these files, they are original to your phone, and I think its incredibly important to have a back up. I even included an empty folder for you to put them in!
Use the following ADB commands:
adb pull /dev/block/by-name/nvdata
adb pull /dev/block/by-name/nvram
adb pull /dev/block/by-name/nvcfg
Now find those files and put them some where safe!!!
(You can also use TWRP and copy the files, and put the on a USB stick or maybe some where else on the phone)
4. Turn off the phone again, you can do this from TWRP by going to Reboot and chosing Power Off.
5. Open SPFlash Tool and load the scatter file provided from my files "MT6761_Android_scatter - edited.txt". This will add the NVData, NVRam, NVcfg partitions to flashable partitions.
5a. Uncheck all the boxes we don't need and only check off nvcfg, nvdata, nvram, and md1img_a. These are the ONLY partitions we are flashing. (They should already be selected! BUT SO WILL THE PRELOADER, UNCHECK PRELOADER, I had to include it in the folder for the flashing to work, but we do NOT need to flash it!)
5b. Click the "location" portion of each row and find the corresponding file from the files I provided. (This should already be done!)
5c. When you got everything set up, click the Green Arrow Download button. With your phone turned off, hold the BACK button (top right) and plug it in. It will flash these files to your phone. KEEP YOUR PHONE OFF FOR NOW.
6. Open SNwrite tool on your computer, make sure ComPort says USBVCOM, and Target Type says Smart Phone.
6a. Open the System Config button and make sure ONLY IMEI, BT Address, and Wifi Address are checked off in the "Write Option" (top left) section.
6b. In the DataBase File section (at the bottom) and make sure "Load AP DB from DUT and Load Modem DB from DUT are checked.
6c. Click on the MD1_DB button and select the "MDDB_InfoCustomAppSrcP_MT6761_S00_MOLY_LR12A_R3_MP_V88_3_1_ulwctg_n.EDB" file located in the AP DB Base\\MT6761 folder (within SNwrite folder).
6d. Click on the AP_DB button and seelect the "APDB_MT6761_S01__W1947" file located in the AP DB Base\MT6761 folder (within SNwrite folder).
6e. Click Save and go back to the main window, click on "Start" and a new window will pop up. Remember how I told you to WRITE DOWN all of these from your F21? This is where we need it.
IMEI_1 = your original IMEI.
BT Addr = Your Bluetooth Address (no colons!)
Wifi Addr = Your Wifi MAC Address (no colons!)
6f. Before you click OK be sure to have your phone at the ready. You will need to, just like with SP Flash Tool, hold the back button as you plug it in! Click OK and plug in your phone with the back button held. Wait for the bar to progress and the green PASS signal to light up.
6g. When its done, your original identifiers will be flashed to your phone! Another window may pop up making you think you have to flash again, just close it as long as you saw that Green PASS signal you are good.
7. TURN ON YOUR PHONE AND ENJOY US LTE BANDS!!!!!! 2, 4, 12, 13, 17, 66, 71
These cover most of T-mobile and Verizon users!
Go back into your phone settings as in Step 1 and make sure your original IMEI, Wifi Mac Address and Bluetooth Address are there.
To confirm the bands, use the phone dialer and type:
*#*#3646633#*#*
This will take you into engineering mode (use at your own risk, don't mess with anything!) and click on Band Mode. Scroll thru the bands and you can confirm which ones are active. As far as which ones are currently being used, I am unsure of how to do that just yet. Will update when I know (was told there are apps that might be able to do this).
-----------------------------
Things to note:
AGAIN: BE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR FILES and write down your IMEI, Wifi MAC ADDRESS and BLUETOOTH ADDRESS! I cannot state this enough.
If you do not do the SNwrite tool (section 6 of the steps) you will have DUMMY made-up identifiers, and technically those will work for a while.. but you don't want to have the same ones as others, so please do section 6.
I cannot help you with unlocking your bootloader, that part can be easier and the tool I linked was not fun. There are apparently much easier ways, please look into them.
If you can unlock your bootloader, and install TWRP you can do the rest of these steps easy!

I'd like to thank:
Jbazt_katuforzs (XDA forums) for the Unofficial Qin F21 Pro firmware tutorial.
Sense_101 (XDA forums) who I couldn't have done this without, they helped me with learning ADB commands and knowing which files I would need to get this done.
mosheys (XDA) who told me about SNwrite tool.. which I knew about, but couldn't work before, and gave me the motivation to try again, really made this all come together.
jbriones95 (Reddit) who got me into Dumbphones and introduced me, through his videos, to the F21 Pro. The perfect phone for me!
eitokai (Reddit) who worked on tinkering with the F30 and made me believe I could do it too, and make progress - and everyone they thanked helped too!
Quick shout outs to Highpowers23 (Reddit), and 154FAviator (Reddit).
Lots of other random tutorials online where other people were trying to do similar things with their phones!!

4/25/23: Fixed an issue where SPFlash tool was giving an Invalid Preloader error on Step 5a. I had to add the preloader file to the supplied download, but we do NOT need to flash the preloader. Edited step 5a to reflect change. Thanks to XDA user mosheys for pointing it out =)
amazing. looking forward to trying this out later tonight.
It worked! Amazing. Thank you for putting the time in to write this up.
Wow, and I always thought that network bands are hardware that can't be added...
How's that possible?
Hi
I have been using this flashed US Bands thing on my phone, and I notice there's few places that my phone just gets thrown off service, I can be in middle of a call and the call ends, etc
Also I miss a lot of calls due to it getting thrown off service in certain areas. (not talking here in basements etc, just random on street)
Anybody else experience such issues?

I'm sorry I haven't had any issues at all except for one time when I ran out of data unknowingly. What phone provider are you with? You might have to manually add their APNs to your settings.

That's what they'd like you to believe! It can be mostly true, but since the F21 has a US clone, the F30, I was able to make it work via their files. Next thing I really want to try is adding more bands if possible. But it involves hex editing perhaps which I'm no good at.

If you figure this out . Love my f21 so much since I used your guide
Can someone post a step by step video on how to do this
Will this work on f22 pro also?
Hi there! Thanks so much for the guide and the files
I followed all your instructions with my brand new F21 pro unlocked that I got from aliexpress, 64/4 version. when the phone arrived, it was already unlocked and had TWRP installed. So I went to follow your tutorial from that point. I specifically bought this phone to use on Verizon for a family member that does not use smart phones so this would be big upgrade for them, since most of the options for Verizon basic phones are bad choices.
Anyway, I consider myself fairly intelligent and computer savvy, I followed your instructions exactly and got no errors both times. first, I got the green checkmark after downloading the files then I did the imei writing I got the green PASS with 0 errors
so I go to turn the phone on, the system now appears "kosher." the Chinese play store is gone, etc. the system is telling me there is a software update which I ignore... when I plug the SIM card into the phone, I am not getting any cellular reception, however the phone does see that sim belongs with Verizon. my phone number shows up in the about section, as well as the original imei and Mac and bluetooth address. so it appears my writing to the phone was successful, but for some reason the bands are not active. I can do wifi calling with Verizon but not over cellular.
I really dont think I did anything wrong but I do have a question was the sp flash tool supposed to only say "download" in the drop down box from the first step?? was it supposed to be install and format??? I left it on download because I wasn't instructed to change anything and went about my business but I am just trying to figure out what went wrong.
again, I want to reiterate, the Verizon employee said they did not see the imei I provided to them with my current sim already in the phone, so why could they not see the f21 pro with original imei and lte bands after your guide? was he lying because they do not want me to use this phone? he asked me if the phone was Samsung and I just said yeah, he was foreign and I didn't feel like explaining.
really trying to figure out what went wrong here. it's frustrating that you can get it to work but I can't. I successfully copied the imei, Mac and Bluetooth address so I dont think that is it. when I go to look at the bands in the developer menu, I do not see the bands you mention with a check box next them. does that mean they are not active??
I really dont want to have to return this phone or sell it because it was a gift and it is actually quite nice for the money. so I put the SIM card back in the old basic phone (sonim xp5) and naturally, it is working as it should... this is a LTE sim and both phones use LTE, so I do not see what the problem is
is there something that must be changed manually in the cellular settings after sim insertion such as LTE/ CDMA only or something like that? again I am on Verizon and I have decent coverage where I am trying this.
thanks
it worked ! Thanks for sharing this guide !

Hey there,
The fact that the bands aren't checked off in engineering mode indeed means that the bands aren't active (I did it and the bands showed up) you should of course redo the setup carefully in case you might have missed a step.
About Sp flash tool all you have to press is the green download arrow at the top of the window. And remember to make sure to deselect the preloader partition.
And not sure if I understood you correctly but you mentioned that after you finished the process you got the full kosher version on the phone, that shouldn't be the case because we are only copying the necessary partitions from the f30 for the service to work(I might have misunderstood you on that last one).

I had prepared the phone for the user I bought it for thinking I did al the steps right. when I realized the phone wasnt working, I re did the tutorial. it wiped all the apps and work I had previously done on the phone such as adding the play store, certification, etc and various apps. it was ready to go... so when I did the tutorial again, starting at the step where you load the F30 files, the phone appeared "kosher" when I flashed it and was once again app less... that is what I meant. it looked like I had started over.
was there anything about the bootloader or the unlocking process that may have not been done properly by the seller of the phone? Again, the phone arrived to me already unlocked and with TWRP installed so I skipped all those steps thinking I wouldn't need to do them.
what did I do wrong if I erased all the apps and the kosher version got installed and wiped the stuff I had already done when I tried to redo the process ?? I'm literally just following the instructions on a brand new phone.
the only thing I could think that I did wrong was skip the unlocking process but I only did that because I assumed the phone was already unlocked. I would assume it's unlocked if TWRP was already installed.... am I wrong ?

Do you mean you bought the version with the Google play store ("unlocked") and that's why you bypassed the other stuff?

And now with the kosher version, are you following the steps to fully unlock it first?

I admit I skipped the unlocking part because I bought the "google unlocked world" version from aliexpress, and so I assumed it was done. and in the developer menu it said the phones boot loader was already unlocked... and the phone had TWRP already, so I assumed in order for TWRP to be there, it was unlocked already.
so I guess you are telling me that I shouldn't have skipped it because it wasn't truly unlocked then? okay, I will try it again.
I do not have the kosher version, I was referring to my f21pro phone after flashing with scatter f30 file.
also I just realized that when I was trying to unlock I was holding the wrong two "top buttons" I thought it was the owl button and the back button, not the camera button and the back button

Maybe give the two top buttons a try before trying the full unlock route? Only a suggestion! I also got the google unlocked world version and was going to try putting all of this on here this weekend. Hoping we don't actually have to go through the full unlock process and maybe it was just the wrong button combo!

I've read some conflicting reports about which buttons it's supposed to be. The actual readme says it's the top two buttons (Owl+back) and someone else, an administrator here actually, posted a photo circling the #+back button.... and someone liked that post assuming it was true
also, someone else said you can only get into TWRP by holding the Star and Owl button when the phone turns on then you have to immediately press the up and back button to boot into TWRP... which isn't entirely true... all you have to do is hold Star+Owl button to boot into TWRP...
I will admit I am new to the world of modding phones but not modding electronics which is why I felt confident enough to take on this project. I have modified many iPods with rockbox in my day and done physical modifications. I find this fun but it's teetering on extremely frustrating.
I am going to have to do the entire unlock process from the very beginning because I don't have any other choice, otherwise I am left with a phone I cannot use on Verizon. it will be waste of ~140usd. not the fault of the aliexpress seller, just poorly written instructions and dumb windows compatibility issues.
I cannot get the phone unlocked because I cannot get my computer to recognize the phone via usb. no amount of button combinations are letting my windows computer see the phone so I cannot unlock it.
