Hi, first time poster hoping for some help with my first encounter with Red Eye at bootup. I have a stock phone. I don't really care about the phone but my wife really wants the pictures off it. It doesn't have an SD card or cloud backup and the pictures are on internal memory. I am able to get into the boot options (like AP fastboot) but I do not know what the options will do for me exactly. Can I choose an option that may fix the phone but will not wipe the memory? Is there any possiblity a PC can see the phone at the Red Eye screen if I connect with USB(would a certified Verizon data cable help?) Would actually opening the phone and doing some sort of mod get me any closer to retrieving pictures? I am a complete novice at this kind of thing and only have experience with PC hardware and software and the like.

none of those options will be of any direct help, however fastboot may be used to try and fix it later.
first,
- do you know what caused it to become like this?
- is it bootloader unlocked? if you dont know what that is, there will be some dialogue on the fastboot screen. status code=0 locked or similar.
- do you know what version it was on? if you dont know, did you always update when available? would likely mean latest version.
- do you have a windows pc available, with a usb 2 port, and a cable to connect the phone to it?
edit,
ultimately, this is where we are headed, if you want to take a look at it. specifically the "rsd flasher". i was going to go another route, but this is probably a more direct option.
the rsd flasher will take you to another site, and is made by samuri. im not real familiar with his tool, but know its good. just will save me time in having you tear the fxz apart and flash certain things.
**note, im not sure if this phone was made for multiple carriers, this will only be relevant when getting the correct fxz file. samuri will know more about this than i would.

First off, thanks your reply! I've been to other sites that were not helpful even to this point! To answer your questions:

Not exactly sure what happen to the phone. My wife tells me one minute it was charged at 26% and working fine, the next moment it was 'dead'.
It is locked with a status of 0
My Wife says if the phone had automated updates(if stock phone is configured that way) then yes she has all the updates. If updates require manual intervention then it's probably not updated.
Yes, I have a Windows PC with 2 USB ports and a generic data cable that fits the phone.
I'm looking at the post you linked too now... Thanks again for your help!

no problem
its likely your phone is fully updated, but since we arent 100% sure, its going to be best to go with the most current file. reason being, because you are locked, you can only flash = or forward. if you try to flash back, it will either not work, or bootloop. usually not work.
it would probably be best if you continued this in @SamuriHL's thread for the rsd flasher. he is very helpful, will likely be able to quickly point you to the most current file, and will be able to answer any questions about the tool where i wouldnt.

So my friend got her a window phone 7 from Craigslist tmobile (htc 7) and she can't erase whats on her phone , I think is because it used to be a display phone for the tmobile store, reason I think that is because it let us reset everything but all the stuff comes back again, and I saw an animation playing like the display phones, is there anyway she can erase everything on it ? Like a regular phone , thanks
Flash a retail ROM onto it. If it's actually the same hardware (should be, but it's possible it's not) then this should get it working just fine. Check the device-specific forum for ROMs that are available, and read the flashing instructions carefully - you don't want to mess anything up.
You could also try flashing a custom ROM, if you want to get a few cool features at the cost of needing to mess with the secondary program loader (bootloader, essentially).

So is it like root for android ? Or jail breakin? Mm how long could it take cause I only see her at work , and I would need to take my laptop right ?
No and No, it's not like either of those. It's simply re-installing the OS that would have come with the device if you'd bought it at a store. Make sure the ROM matches - if it's a HD7, the code name is Schubert. If it's a 7 Pro, Gold. If it's something else, look it up.
For what it's worth, there's a non-trivial risk that the phone is stolen (display phones don't typically get sold, much less sold on CL). I also make no promises that its hardware is the same internally, which means it may never be usable as a normal phone. If you want to try, though...
I think flashing a full ROM takes something like 30 minutes, though I've never done it myself. You need to download the ROM and have the RUU (ROM Update Utility) installed on your PC. Reboot the phone, holding the Volume Down button to put it into Secondary Program Loader mode (SPL, which allows you to modify the ROM). Connect the USB cable to the PC; the SPL screen should say USB at the bottom after the PC automatically installs some drivers. Total time thus far ~2 minutes. Then run the RUU, select the ROM to flash, and give it time.

Thanks for the tip I really appreciate it , I am try tomorrow I saw about phone and compared to online it looks the same, I'll try tomorrow and let you know
okay I just rooted my phone since everyone here told me to. I only did it so I can fix this Skype problem so I didn't have to factory reset.
What exactly can I do now that it is rooted with my LG optimus 3d.
Also I was told there are things you cannot do.
- You can't factory reset or it will brick your phone.
- You have to use usb debugging everytime you plug the phone into your computer.
- You have to have usb mass storage off always when plugging into your computer.

can you explain in more detail.
because when usb debugging is enabled with the phone plugged in there is no way to get anything on or off my phone.
I cannot take the pictures off my phone, I cannot drag music onto the phone, etc.

Not true, when you plug your phone to your computer depending on the ROM it will either automatically enable USB mass storage, or bring up a screen on the phone allowing you to put it in USB mass storage mode. Either way, your phone will still function the same (unless using ICS).
I haven't come across a ROM that doesn't let you use mass storage unless that feature is broken on it.
USB Mass Storage should be perfectly usable for you. Especially if you're still running stock.
USB mass storage doesn't automatically turn on when the phone is plugged in, so nothing shows up. I have to manually turn it on.
if usb debugging is not enabled when I plug my phone in will anything screw up?
and what else can I do now?
I have superuser and I fixed my skype problem.

No it won't mess it up if you plug it in with debugging disabled. Probably the most important thing for you to do now is flash a custom recovery, make a nandroid back up and if you want, flash a custom ROM.

That will point you in the right direction to get CWM recovery. The dev forum is not the easiest to navigate. To make a nandroid backup, just go into recovery and select "backup and restore" and then "backup". I can't comment on the ROM's because I don' have that phone.
Download ROM manager from the market. You can backup your existing ROM, install custom ROM's. There is a free version which I used for a while, but wanted to support the developers so I went ahead and got the premium version.
I would also highly recommend Titanium Backup. You can backup wifi settings, sms, mms, apps, etc.
yeah I downloaded ROM manager and I also have the same problem it only shows the 1 version, not my phone listed.
I looked in the thread you linked me... v.4.8.0.7 is a premium version. I found a link on google to download it but it's from my mediafire, I don't know if that's safe it could be infected.
apparently v.4.8.0.7 is the only version that has my phone model.
is there a safe site to download an old version? maybe there is a v.4.8.0.7 that isn't premium.
can I assume it's safe? It's an old premium version so...
Have you tried any root apps? I have recently rooted and finding some of them really worth the trouble of going through the rooting process
you guys really should elaborate a little bit more, or atleast point in the right direction....
1) you can do a factory reset all you want. it's just going to put the phone back into its stock condition. there really isn't a point in doing it though, so don't bother
2) usb debugging mode is only needed if you want to interface with your phone in a certain fashion. read up on ADB. if the ONLY thing you want to do is be able to get pictures from your phone, or put music on it or whatever, you do not need usb debugging mode enabled.
3) again, you can mount your phone as usb storage all you want. it isn't going to hurt anything. the ONLY reason you would NOT want your phone in this mode is when you are doing stuff with #2.
and to be quite honest, before you do ANYTHING with your phone like this again, do your research. i researched for a week before I rooted my phone. i already knew why debugging mode needed to be enabled and when/why i would want my phone in either storage or charge only modes. learn what you can from your specific phones section as taking info from a different phones section and applying it to yours can seriously mess you up. like brick your device kind of mess you up.
here are a few links to get you started:
LG Optimus 3D forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1073
(I noticed that it doesn't have a Q&A section. Ask questions in the GENERAL section, NOT the Development forum)
A VERY general overview of what ADB is and what it can do:
http://android-dls.com/wiki/index.php?title=ADB
And if you don't know something, or feel like "winging it" when it comes to altering your phone in any way, stop, don't do it, research and ask questions. Trust me you'd rather be the annoying guy asking the right questions than the idiot that says "HALP! I FUX0r3d my phone!" because you didnt know exactly what you are doing.
ALSO: if the ONLY reason you rooted your phone was to fix this Skype issue, and it has been fixed, you don't really NEED to go any farther. You accomplished your goal. That being said, with a rooted phone the possibilities are pretty much endless. The Devs do awesome work
EDIT!!!!
Here is a link to the actual ROM Manager website. At the top of the page it says "ROM Manager APK" download and install that to your phone.
http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
Alternatively, here is the link to the FREE version of ROM Manager on the Market:

Hope I helped.

I have optimus 3D and when you connect to pc via usb you should see a message on phone saying to press its button to enable usb storage.
Press the button on screen and it will then enter usb storage mode.

Uh oh I do all three of those things probably on a daily basis....
Nandroid backup is your best friend. Get used to using it first and foremost. It's a total snapshot of your system. Once you get used to backing up and restoring a few times, and see how great it works, you'll gain a lot of confidence in trying out custom ROMs, which is where a lot of the fun begins.
It is so easy to take a backup, flash a custom ROM, get your email, calendar, phone, etc etc up and working on it quickly, play around with the settings, then take a nandroid backup of THAT (so you can come back to it and continue playing with it where you left off) and restore your "original" system -- it will be exactly as you left it. You can almost think of it as putting down one device and picking up another... the only limitation being you can only "hold" one at a time.
You can essentially live on 2 or 3 different ROMs at once. I generally have my go-to CM7 ROM which is my daily driver, but I've flashed a few different ROMs to check them out, including some pretty stable looking ICS ROMs.
Titanium Backup is helpful in this regard if you have certain apps and user data you want to bring over to a new ROM you're trying out. I've found doing a whole hog TB restore to a new ROM to be too much at once, and restoring system settings from one ROM onto a completely different ROM is often a square peg/round hole situation.
Lurk around on the relevant forums too and you will learn a lot of things you can try!
Oh as for what not to do - first and foremost DON'T PANIC! Anything goes wrong there is a lot of help available but it might take a little time to work out...
Second I agree with the above posters who say don't do something you don't understand. Read and research first, ask questions.
Third, if you really, really rely upon your device for your livelihood, or you mortgaged your house to purchase it, etc etc, don't mess with it. If you can't afford to be down half a day or two days if you messed something up and it might take a while to fix, go buy a cheap android device somewhere for just fooling around with.

this is really fantastic advice. this forum (along with others) is an amazing resource, and it's really because of the help you can get from really knowledgeable AND unpretentious people. for someone who is new to root/android like me, it has proven to be invaluable. whatever you mess up, you can probably get fixed. just don't be too hasty or too careful. i came to android from a work-paid-for BB9630 (tour) i did all kinds of crazy stuff to that phone without fear b/c i knew if i bricked, my company would just give me another one no questions asked .. but i recently bought an evo (for personal use) when i switched jobs, and i wanted to root it and mod it immediately..but... i was a total noob to the process with android AND (just as importantly) i COULD NOT just break my phone and get another like it was nothing. so i read and read and read and asked a bunch of questions on various forums. then one day, like a little kid about to jump off the high-dive for the first time, i rooted and flashed a custom rom. pretty scary that first time, but now i flash a new rom a couple times a week. i have learned so much and am now rooted and enjoying all the things that come with that (except for going to bed later.) don't panic...great advice. i love it.
I have factory reset my phone 3 times while rooted. I didn't think much of it. I have a dinc 2, mabey it depends what phone you have.

I put them as questions cause I'm not sure.

Hello,
I'm sorry to bother you with an apparently repetitive thread, but I assure it is not.
I've been dealing with this problem for over a year now. Of course there were times that I simply gave up, but every now and then I searched all over the internet (seriously; very resilient, I am) and tried everything. Nothing seems to work.
The issue is: one day I was reading something on Google Reader and the tablet restarted. When it came back, it was in this password screen.
[AS A NEW USER I COULDN'T POST THE IMAGE - please see attachment ending in 41]
Detail: I had never, EVER set any kind of password. I don't do this with any of my devices unless I'm obliged to (as in Windows 8, this big piece of shiite).
So the thing is: I did not set a password, I did not choose to ask for a password in any situation and there isn't a single combination that I haven't tried. The thing doesn't even ask me to stop -- like 'hey, you've tried your 30k input, I think you should stop now'.
Now, for you not to start cursing me, I tried EVERYTHING that is basic and post-basic to fix it. I did wipe the data, I tried flashing another ROM, I did cold boot, factory reset, EasyFlashed, nvflashtf and whatnot. I swear to GoogleGods that I, as a non-expert-but-very-keen-on-technology, could.
Another thing that happens is when I try to enter the recovery mode, after using the nvflash, it doesn't work. The image that appears to me is this one:
[SAME THING -- attachment ending in 38]
Again: I'm not a complete noob. I know how to get into things; all I need is a simple guidance. I'm really sorry if this has been posted before and only I couldn't find it, but I won't be so if someone helps me to get it and solve my problem. I can't stand this anymore -- now it's just a matter of pride.
Thank you all.
This happened to me on my SL101 after I flashed a ROM of some sort. I used ADB commands to push the stock ROM back to it and to push another Recovery to it. Mine was in worse shape, Recovery loop, and then I finally got it to where yours currently is. My physical nor on screen keyboard would even work. Look up some ADB commands, perhaps you already know them, and attempt to either push the stock ROM or a new Recovery blob back to it.

Yeah, well, y'know, I'm not at this level yet, but I'll dig into ADB and stuff.
I tried to use this sometime in the past, but my computer was so bad back then that I had to give up to keep my sanity. Now I've got a fairly good one (very good, considering the few things I use it for), however much less time.
Tonight is the night, though. I'll study as much as I can and I'll fix this ****. Any tip you may remember now would be useful.
Thanks.
I'm struggling with something even before I start: there's no way I can get access to the system and turn the USB Debugging on.
I know I'm not getting much attention, but I won't give up. Please just do not accuse me of spamming; I'm just a desperate geek that has been kept away from his toy.
Alright, after the childish speech, here's the latest update: I cannot use de ADB thing because there's no way I can turn on the USB debugging mode.
Or is there? The latest news is that I can get access to some system files through the ASUS File Manager (turns out it still reads the MicroSD Card, even though I could not update the device this way). So, technicians, is there a way to hack into this beast? Fu ck, I don't even know how to call it anymore.
There isn't much I can do with this File Manager. Mostly visualize the folders and rename this and that (which is the only thing I reckon might be useful).
Jesus, I'm sleepy, I can't even write properly anymore. Please someone help me. It can't be that hard.

For some reason i thought you were on th sl101(slider) so i didnt comment. So heres the deal, any fix is going to be data destructive(nothing you can do at this point as even if you manage to pull data from the tablet, it will be encripted) You need Easyflasher(dev section) follow the instructios there (basically donwloading stock firmware from asus and by using nvflash in apx mode it will re-partition storage, and upload the stock firmware to the tf101)
If you hit any problems, post them here and ill help you further
Edit: just read you post more, if you tried easyflaher and it didnt work, please post the details of what you tried within easyflasher.
Its a strange issue, if it happend to me and id tried the things you already have, this is what id try:
-Flashing ubuntu from the dev section(i known very little about how nvflash works but it maybe only re-partitioning certain partitions, ubuntu i would imagine would require a full re-partitioning)
-alternativly (or on top of the previous idea) use one of the ubuntu installers(OLiFE on ubuntu worked the best for me, but franks tools/ newer software based on franks tools should work fine) and flash the Prime! rom on its own.
If these dont work, your last resort is asus - but thats a long shot lol

If you can't get into anything, but you can enter APX Mode, but NVFlash doesn't work, then I'm not sure anything will as NVFlash completey deletes and recreates all the partitions on the drive
So unless you have been unlucky and downloaded a bad version of an NVFlash ROM....
I know you say you have used NVFlash but I`ll stick this here anyway
The way I restore is:
Connect tablet to PC and make sure the tablet is turned off (Make sure it is the only USB device connected other than keyboard/mouse)
Hold Volume Up + Power for a few seconds until you hear the USB connect sound on the PC, release the buttons, you are in APX mode
Install APX drivers if you have not already
Now extract this
http://www.xdafileserver.nl/Files/Asus/Asus%20Transformer%20(TF101)/STOCK%20ROMS/ICS%20.27/NVFLASH_ICS_9.2.1.27_WW_NOROOT.7z
And run "download.bat"
I think you should see some text appear on the tablet screen, and progress will be shown in the command prompt window on the PC
Wait for it to complete 100%
Its been a while so I can't remember if the tablet will reboot on its own or if you need to hold power for 30 seconds to get out of APX mode
Either way, make sure it is completely finished and reboot the tablet
Only thing I can remember going wrong with NVFlash was the first time I rebooted after a sucessful boot, it would hang on a black screen
Just hold power for 30 seconds and then power on normally, done, if it has worked you have your tablet back, if not, I think its a hardware issue > see asus
Im very keen to get this fixed/ find the issue as uptil now I thought the tf101 was virtually software invincible, you need to pay attention to what the nvflash process says, the one thing I can think of as to why nvflash didn't work is it can't write over encrypted partitions although that would make no sense why it wouldn't.
Just a suggestion... make sure you're not docked. Some people report issues when nvflashing while docked (I can't replicate those issues except with the Tubuntu tool).
Is there a solution?
I also have an error! see picture
Anyone else have one? I want to completely remove the demo software and use it as a tablet. Now please note I am looking for an answer that puts the instructions in steps like you're talking to a baby. Assume I have no experience in any of this. I also only want answers from people who have been successful at doing this and own the device.
Also I want to know: are the specs of a demo unit exactly the same as the normal retail version?
Build number if needed is: LRX22G.G920XXXU1AOD7_LLK
Bought in the UK.
So far I've turned the demo stuff off as far as I can. I entered the password 5444 and whatnot to disable it.
Also:
Fast charge doesn't seem to work. Charges quite slowly.
I get this error when I try to install certain apps: unknown error -501.

If it's a live demo unit it's probably crippled in most ways. Wifi, Fast Charging, Cell Radio, things like that are all probably affected by this. Live demo units are primarly there to show a "finished" product. It's there to show of how pretty the exterior of the phone and the screen. Maybe the camera. But it's probably a pre-release version. You're going to have a bad time trying to make it work for your needs. Best of luck.
Thanks but I'm looking for help from people who have the demo unit. I have a galaxy s4 demo unit as well and it's fine, had no problems
OT why are u fun of getting demo units, aren't these supposedly be for demo purposes only?
Why not get the retail and get rid of issues. If u bought it then you should be getting a retail/production phone than demo UNLESS you paid it for less ... Lol

Yes I bought it for 1/3 the price of the normal phone, and I don't need the phone features. I am asking how I can completely remove the demo software. I prefer someone who already owns it and has tried it, to answer.
I've bought the same. mine is clearly removed from display because it's had a bash. So I think it shouldn't be a problem.
I've been trying for the last couple of hours. Can you get yours to be recognised by odin? I couldn't at all.
I turned developer mode on to use adb sideload but it has been no use. the device says everything has the wrong footer and validation denied.
what else do you have besides 5444? That's the first I've heard of that.
Hey Quarzar, the other password needed to turn disable factory reset off is M729Q16K8546, after you've entered 5444 to enter the Samsung Retial software. But even after factory reset I'm stuck with the demo software. I haven't tried Odin, will have a look. I don't want to flash something and risk bricking it.
Quatzar can you try something? Can you try installing 3DMark and run the ice storm unlimited benchmark on your demo unit and tell me what you get?
I would love to but I went looking for what you'd used. found the factory reset code. wiped.
signed in including the fingerprint thing. Samsung installed a software update even though I didn't sign in for samsung. wouldn't let me cancel it. It auto rebooted. Now I can't unlock the damn thing. It knows it should check for thumb prints. won't do it. There is a backup password thing but it won't let me use it.... I'm locked out.
It might be deliberate.
Darn that is annoying, so glad I never tried the fingerprint thing now. It auto installed two updates for me as well without asking me
Easy easy dude
Hi, look its very simple!
You have to ROOT your device, then istall Titanium Backup on it and the open up the Programm and through its options you can UNINSTALL anything you want, even the retail software! Thats it:good:

Ok back awake now.
If anybody gets locked out, just use android device manager in a browser and wipe the device.
If you download this.
https://download.chainfire.eu/733/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-zeroflte-zerofltexx-smg920f.zip
Extract it. There is a copy of Odin in there and the file you need to flash with Odin.
Run Odin. The window will open....
Shutdown the demo unit. Then hold down down+home+power until the logo "demo unit" etc comes on.
It will go into the warning page. Press up to put it in download mode.
Connect your computer to the unit with the USB.
But my guess is of yours is the same as mine Odin won't recognise the unit.
Does Odin show a blue/green bar?
Does text come up in the message window?
If it does find the zip file that came along with Odin inside the original file I linked. Put it in the box that says PDA (or its PA now I think from memory they relabelled it.)
Press start.
I bet it doesn't work and nothing will change.

Please can you show me how to root it in baby steps? The most important thing is, have you done it yourself on a galaxy s6 demo unit? I don't want to follow a procedure for the normal s6 and then end up bricking my device.

Hi Quatzar, yes Odin recognises it I think. It says 'added!!' and the blue bar under ID:COM. When I plugged the S6 in at first it did have to download 'Serial Gadget' update and Samsung something. But I don't want to flash anything until someone else has already tried it and succeeded, in case it ends up going wrong.

After flashing this file my demo live unit stuck on Samsung logo, any help please
A guy that is apparently a hacker hacked into all my devices and have been controlling my phone. I just don't know how to get him off. Here's 2 pics of the recovery log.
It's taken me 2 months of reading different forums to kinda figure out what he has done to my phone. I just don't know how to fix it and get him completely off. Right now he can control all apps and anything I do on my phone. If I need to upload more logs I will do that.
I see NO logs whatsoever here. Can you please add the logs?

Yes sorry I thought I did put them up here's 3 pics I'll post the rest in a minute I'm gonna get an app that will generate logs.
If this post vanishes that means he deleted it. If been trying to post here for over a month now.
How did you find out he hacked you?
What's your phone model? (Edit: from the logs it is probably a Moto G Stylus 5G 2022)
(PS I saved those photos so I have them even if they're deleted)
@HackD_1 you might be able to reflash the firmware if you're scared, but I still want to know how you found this out (it would be helpful) and if you know what exactly he did.
Sorry for the delay in response.
Yes my phone is a moto stylus 2022 5 G.
I found out after a series of events took place that ended in me catching him on my network. When I confronted him and told him I got a screenshot is when the attacks really started.
He hijacked my network by installing openwrt on my router. I had TMobile home internet and they supply the router so I couldn't just go buy a new one. I eventually got a new router but he just did the same thing to the other one. It got so bad I had to just turn my internet off. In the beginning the attacks would be in direct result of things happening. He moved out but he still has my phone under control. When I buy a new one he just hacks it this is phone 5 in 2 months.

Im actually not sure what all he has done. I do know he uses system apps and changes permissions. He uses project treble to get system root and then he somehow has root privileges over on the phone. He can delete or just turn off any app he wants. It's so complex it's hard for me to even explain. Here's logcat logs hopefully it will help so you can help me.
I tried to reflash the firmware with the moto rescue and recovery but it stopped half way through. He messed the computer up so bad I can't even get on it without him knowing. Then he stops all downloads that have to do with fixing the phone.
It's extremely aggravating.
Ok this person is extremely intrusive and seems to be targeting you.
I have a question: the TMo gateway already runs openWRT, so how do you know he has access?
Did this happen to all your phones? Does he have physical access to your phone?
Can you reset your PC from Windows recovery (or settings if it is a Mac)?
And how do you know that he did it?
Can you boot to Recovery (volume down while powering on) snd send a pic?
Download this program and reformat your device

@Cheshire147 @HackD_1 Don’t use that MediaTek flash tool; it won’t work in this case.
You should use RSDLite (Motorola’s internal flash tool; it works on 10/11 in my experience if you don’t plug your phone into a blue USB port (usb 3.0) ) to flash this (firmware for US retail version of the G Stylus 5G 2022).
and @HackD_1 The extent to which people on XDA can help you with are with tech related issues. If this gets serious, please report this to your local authorities.
Also, backup and reset any other devices (you said your pc is messed up) to remove any makicious software lingering on your computers, and DO NOT give this person access to any of your devices to make changes.
You should also change you WiFi password and take ALL devices off the network (for security purposes).
@HackD_1 Also, how come you now have 5 phones? You can reset all of them and sell off / give away the ones you don’t want.

I know there's only so much people on here can do. This whole thing has really been one of the worst things that's happened to me. People don't think about how much loosing control of your cell phone will stress you out. The aggravation I felt in the beginning of this because I didn't know what was wrong or how to explain it so everyone would say things like. It's possible to control a cell phone but it's HIGHLY UNLIKELY your phone is hacked. The helplessness I felt from not even being able to get tech people to believe me was unreal.
It's already gotten worst. There's no money in it for him so I thing he is getting bored with it all.
Worst part about all this and imagine how helpless you would feel when you finally say ok enough is enough and call the police just for them to say there's nothing they can do.
So here's what I know. He hacked into my network. Once on he could attack my devices. To get into the device he used either Google apps or Motorola app or even system update then once I unknowingly click his package it's game over
Project treble gets enabled and the recovery partition gets a genteric system image from AOSP once his OS is installed on my device he controls it like a developer building an os except he does things to stop me. I'm not even sure how this is possible if my bootloader is still locked.
I did read something about project treble and being able to flash certain images without unlocked bootloader so I guess that's how.
I wish i could have gotten the MOTO R&R to work but I think he did something to the download file. If I'm downloading a file he don't want me to have he will do a man in the middle and take away from the file or add to it to mess it up. I've download the Stock OS fir the stylus probably ten times. He will mess them up during download or delete them when he sees them in my phone.
I don't even have a computer anymore because he screwed mine up and got it stuck in boot loop.
If I had a USB OTG cable then I could download it onto a USB drive and install windows but mine unfortunately broke.
I have a question. Can I flash the phone using wireless debugging and another phone using tetmux or something similar?
He probably has tetmux configured to not flash it.
It seems every solution I try he has blocked.
Also if I flash the phone will that delete all the partitions? He has a bunch of partitions I've noticed. He's been kinda quiet these past couple days. Usually this post would have been erased and me blocked from this site.
He is also using my USB interface to gain access.
Rmnet. I know he's using it but can't figure out how to stop that either.
@HackD_1 flashing wirelessly is not going to work.
If he was intercepting requests to Google/Motorola servers (although idk how he signed any system apps for update), you should first fix your PC and network before trying to flash your phone.
You can order a Windows usb from eBay or something if you need windows now. And keep a USB around next time.
And can you remove all connected evices from the router configuration and change your wifi password?
