Don't worry, he will fix it when he has the time, Please don't rush him.
Just had a brief test and the back facing camera had a little problem tho.
The screen is totally black and can't see a thing but front facing one is ok. If I take a snapshot the camera crashes.

no sources, no port. wait till december.
but then we'll work on the top devices first (i9000, i9100), so you'll maybe get ICS in middle of next year.

ICS code will be completely diffrent from GB. Then while porting cynogen mod of ICS do we still have to face problems that time also (like broken camera)...?

oh sad...! Just a last question Is Amit also working with u? Since he is working on this project from long time may be he can help u in a better way. Also in all samsung android devices is galaxy I9003 is the most unlucky device or are there some similar examples of devices exists which face unsuccessful camera porting in CM7...?

i'm sure he'll help, but he's a beginner on cm.
if i look at the stuff he has done, it reminds me of my first attempts. ;-)
don't know if there are any devices out. there are not much developers on samsung phones. every phone we've done is running fine, but we never ported a low activity device like i9003.

really samsung has messed with our phone. They have given strong hardware support but bad complex coding has messed everything. Amit has really great knowledge of kernal coding. He also tried alot differents stuffs related to kernal such as overclocking. But he always failed like skin in getting a stable overclock kernal. They are also frustrated because they never come to know what was missing or messed in kernal codes.
I am sure that if Amit give more time for developement to u then ur both effort's will do some magic.

If u download adam77root's cwm 5.x.x.x in your phone, rename it to update.zip and then use install update.zip option in stock recovery, will that work?

I was experimenting with bypassing signature verification or creating a signature, but didn't manage to make it. I finally thought it's easier to flash with Odin.

I checked it, and I sent the GalaxyR info on july 11th, as you could see.
Probably, he's on holiday nowaday, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't feel as developing to Galaxy R will not growth too much the number of users of Mobile Odin Pro. Maybe, we need to make some noise on his thread to let him know our needs

I completely agree mate. I don't understand why these well known developers won't support our efficient device. What irks me more is that fact that there's support for those ****ty Xperia phones with their ****ty hardware but not for our device. I think we should try and get some attention. Who knows, one big developer and things could change drastically for us:thumbup::beer:

Well, I think Chainfire has work enough... I readed he has some phones "under consideration" to developing support for them in MobileOdin, but all of them sent their dumps and kernels during the last year (2011), so probably, we could conquer GalaxyR support for 2013-Q4 :crying::crying::crying:
Chainfire is one of the most busiest and best developers on xda. He works basically exclusively on flagships just like all the most famous devs do. This is how it is. He has already started to develop on SGS3 and I've read he's even willing to abandon S2 totally due to lack of time. (take a look at the number of just his premium apps on the market.) When he decide to give support then it's really enormous contribution. So I can really understand why he don't have time for other phones. Every little piece of such development takes time.
If I may suggest something, before being punished, don't spam his threads. I really don't think it will make anybody work and another thing different communities can be really very agressive towards such initiatives. Kindly ask him as cooleagle suggested.

Whoever's interested, donate your g-fit to thewhisp...
He can't build since he doesn't have the device, he can try if he gets it...
And I'll be frank on this, when he tried building for g-fit, there was an utter lack of enthusiasm on our part...
Come on, everyone can atleast logcat!
Posts like "good job", "downloading now", "finally you came" in the dev section don't help anybody...
Infact g-fit has the worst dev section spammers, filling up the rom threads with posts that have absolutely nothing to do development...
Don't believe me? Sorry, that's the truth, accept it...

Ok but how do u expect the people to post about developing when they dnt kno developing.. They are just users u cant blame them simply..
They dnt kno how to logcats and why dnt u tell them how to tak them... Simply asking them to logcat wont work rite..
There are tons, and I mean tons, of websites, and loads of video guides on youtube for that...
Not to mention the countless one-click adb installers available on Xda...
One simple google search can give out all the step-by-step info required to get a logcat...
And infact, I did give out helpful newbie-friendly links...
I am not asking everybody to dev...but atleast the one's who are interested help those who are trying to...

They wont do it just cause someone else is asking them to do it. Every developer develops what is he capable or comfortable developing. U cant tell them what to do . Let them do what they are comfortable doing.
Since the devs are busy on Kernel 3.0 they cant look into this stuff. Maybe later sometime down the lane if they want to they will .
Anyways good luck with Appreciating Devs this way :good:

"We commit all to create a single ROM stable and efficient," Are you making speech here, huh? The Devs are working on it, whatever you said that I quote are every AOSP developers dream.
Everyone here is waiting for the Kernel, if you can help, help them. But if you don't, then stop whining like a 5 years old kid at the candy store.
You know Sammy hate AOSP Developers. If this how you appreciated Developers, get a life! even 5 years old kid won't appreciated their parents this way!
CAN SOMEBODY CALL THE MODS? THIS TOPIC SHOULD BE IN TARTARUS!
Proud owner of Galaxy SL that running on Paranoid Android.
See bro if u want have a stable rom u can certainly have dhiru's cm9. Or u can switch back to ddlf2 in gb.
What you trying to point out is work done by lolation, he ports a rom a day and its brilliant
Our sl is in one of the many devices abandoned by samsung. Other devices have a PROPER STABLE KERNEL (readymade). Which we dont!
But people like dhiru adi and lola have saved our device. You are not paying these developers , they are doing because android is like their passion . If u want a stable rom make it yourself and dont discourage devs!

Well... There's always a small chance of getting all your info stolen wheter or not you're using a custom rom, but I think none of the developers in this site would want somebody's passwords, at least in this section of the forum.
Most of these developers just do this for fun, what would you win by stealing a google account or whatever can be stolen?
Of course there are apps in the google play that do that, but if you use simple apps i'm sure you'll be fine.
