Just flashed dhackers CM10.1 6/29 build. I have a xt926 Verizon phone, but I live in australia and use a telstra sim card. Normally I just change apn settings for data and everything is all good. With this ROM there is no way to change APN settings in the settings menu. Even brought APN up in voice dialer, changed settings like normal and still cannot get data. Is there a fix for this?
Use the xt925 version. You flashed the cdma version which doesn't use sim cards.

This is incorrect. The XT926 is an LTE device and most certainly has a SIM card. The fact that you cannot edit the APNs is a bug.
All I know is every time I try an xt926 rom I can't edit apn's without multiple extra steps and when I flash an xt925 rom it works right away.

I'm confused here. So if you need to be able to edit APNs manually (e.g., for international travel), you have to flash the VZW XT926 with the firmware for the Global XT925? Doesn't that render the phone's radios useless while in the US? Obviously this isn't a problem for the OP since he is in Australia and doesn't care about the VZW radio bands. But for the rest of us who travel....?
-- Dan
Well if someone is on Verizon they wouldn't need to flash anything other then xt926 because the network is already setup for Verizon. As opposed to any other network the xt925 is a better option.

I am also interested in this. Although, I live in AUS now, it is just temporary and I do have a verizon account that I suspend while I am oversees. So when I come back to USA and switch to my verizon SIM card will I receive signal or will I have to flash to xt926 ROM? I would assume I would still get signal since the network mode selected is LTE/GSM/CDMA so it should pick up the CDMA signal. But i could be wrong because I had this selected on the xt926 version and didnt get data in australia. (But I had network and was able to make calls so it was just an APN issue.)
Also, if the Verizon SIM does work with the xt925 build, what are the advantages of using the xt926 build over the xt925 in the first place?
The xt926 build is for the strictly Verizon phone while xt925 covers everything else and possibly Verizon. I don't know because I'm on att.

OK. Thanks.
I was just curious because if Verizon does work on xt925, I don't see why anyone would want to use the xt926 version and lose access to global functions and APN settings. (never know when you might need them.) Unless of course xt926 is providing some sort of extra Verizon support or functions. Would be interesting to find out.
The xt926 has some stock Verizon apps built in.

Here's the deal... my mom got the RAZR HD from Fido and I got mine from Rogers. I have found no difference other than the lack of carrier bloat on the Fido version. I checked her About Phone info and compared to mine and everything seems identical (might've missed something). Would there be a way to install Fido's firmware instead of Rogers? I mean since they're gonna get a bloatless JB OTA wouldn't it be simpler than having to re-freeze all that junk?
If you have any idea on how to pull this off, I'm open to trying!

Well i wouldn't recommend you to get FIDO firmware on Rogers. Reason is that it might not get updated when rogers will release jelly bean in this month.
Interesting : I have rogers razr HD and bought another Fido razr HD for my wife from kijiji. I was playing with Fido phone and i popped in Rogers sim in it. The phone got rebooted and voila.. it had Rogers firmware on it with all the bloatware.
That's really odd... damn rogers and their bloat lol guess I'll have to freeze it, thanks for the reply!
I got my RAZR off kijiji and popped in my rogers sim and its a rogers device(dunno if sim did it or not cuz it was the device's first run), there's gotta be a way to prevent this though

I bought a Fido RAZR HD and when I turned it on the first time everything showed Rogers firmware but no Rogers bloat. Then I popped my Rogers Sim into the phone, the phone did a factory reset and the Rogers bloat came, but it was all stuff you can disable, so it wasn't a big deal for me.

What kind of AT&T SIM card are you using? Maybe you can tell its the first 8 digits or so? A few people in a different thread are reporting they can't use AT&T SIM cards in their Rogers RAZR HD.

I bought a Rogers RAZR HD A.D. as soon as my FIDO Sim went in it automatically switched to a FIDO phone. (FIDO boot and I didn't have to unlock the phone)

There is a warning message when you start the RAZR HD with the neutral Rogers firmware. It says that it'll wipe your phone based on some SIM setting. If you choose to proceed, you get either Rogers or Fido branded firmware. I've reflashed the stock ROM a few times so its tested.
Here is a screenshot of what I'm talking about. Do not proceed if you want a bloat-free phone. It'll brand your phone based on your SIM (only if Rogers/Fido).
What happens if you cancel... you stay bloat-free? And does it ask every time you boot up the phone?

Hey,
But if you wipe and reflash the stock ROM, then it resets this setting right?
Thanks,
Su
If you reflash the Rogers ROM, you're back to being unbranded. If you proceed, you reboot into recovery and it flashes the branded stuff onto your phone. I think it only asked me on the first few startup. Might have stopped after I performed a normal reboot.
It's showing no mobile service, and I have no idea what to do.
help?

I haven't use CM on my Razr, but on my old Defy you had to use the included Baseband Switcher app to set your country and provider before you could get any cellular signal...
I'm in the same boat at the moment. Still can't connect despite adding the APN.

I think what I did wrong the first time was to wipe dalvik. I flashed back to stock using the utility that you can download from one of the stickies. Then I reflashed CM10 and only wiped cache and data. That worked for me.
I have an unlocked and rooted XT926 and have been successfully installing roms on this regularly until the 4.3 roms have come out. Each time I install a rom that is based on android 4.3, they install and work but cannot detect the SIM card. It is like the device doesn't see the card at all.The selector is always stuck at NV and switching to RUIM/SIM does not stay set.
I can install 4.1 or 4.2 based roms just fine, either from a backup or by doing a clean install and have the sim card detected and data connectivity, just not any 4.3 based ones. Can anyone suggest a cure?
Resolved
I was able to resolve this. I had originally rooted back in December from stock with motochopper. That was apparently my problem because after I re-rooted using the Razr HD Utility version 1.21 all is fine in the world now. Let the flashing begin......

So my XT926 is running the latest PacMan ROM but I am restricted to 2g data. When I unchecked the 2g only box, the phone doesn't even register. I am using the Pacman GSM rom. I am using Net10. UMTS works with the stock rom but i thing i still need to do some digging to get it to work with the AOSP rom
Does anyone know if the gsm network for the xt926 works with later builds of cm 10.2 or cm10.2 based roms?
Best regards

I was just in Spain and tried to use a Vodafone SIM card in my Verizon xt926 (CM 10.2 ROM). The phone was set on Global and it detected the SIM card, but could not find any network. Updating the APN list did not work either. Sucks, thought the xt926 had international radios.

It does. The problem is with the ROM. Stock ROM works great internationally.

CM 10.1 works fine with GSM, just edit build.prop to comment out CDMAv7LTE (something like that, it's near the bottom) by adding a # in front of the line. I have used my XT926 on TMobile via this method (with the RadioComm hack to unlock TMo.) You will probably have to enter an APN to get data, but that's trivial. You can leave the CDMAv7 thing commented out while on VZW, doesn't seem to have any ill effect.
CM 10.2 is more work to get on GSM, nobody has reported if the issues have been fixed with the latest M1 build.

making xt926 rom work on xt925
I tried to get the Blur rom to work on my xt925 with minimal success. It works and data works but its flaky and reboots mean toggling the netork mode to get data re-working.

Yes I realize this ROM was made for the xt926. I also know there are no hardware differences between the 2. people keep referencing the thread called "how to get xt926 roms working on xt925" but It doesnt work good enough. It works and wifi and 4g DO work, but the transitions between the 2 suck and toggling between GSM and global network mode is required after a reboot even with the build.prop edit and a factory reset.
Has anyone been able to get the Droid razr HD or razr maxx hd on Pageplus on kitkat with working 3g & mms?

Not that I have heard of. There is a thread on Howard forums about this very issue. After root and bootloader unlock was available, I upgraded to 4.4.2. I could not get 4.4.2 to work with the old methods. Tried writing a 4.0.4 modem into 4.4.2 and it would not work at all with the KK update. I have heard that you can flash a CM 4.4 rom after you have everything working on 4.1.2 and will still have PagePlus. I have not tried this approach yet. Others more knowledgeable than I, have not yet gotten PagePlus service with the stock 4.4.2 yet.
Jackie
I've been trying everything I can think of but no luck yet. The best I was able to do is take advantage of the bootloader unlock. Downgrade to 4.1.2 stock. Flash the ics radio driver. Get page Plus working. Install twrp then flash cm11. there are several 4.4 roms made for the 3.0 jb kernel. But now even cm builds are starting to build on the new kernel+bootloader and do not work with the ics radio.
Tapatalk'n it from my XT907 (MoKee 4.4.4) on Page Plus Cellular.
And I was loving the new setup to kitkat.

There was a post over on Howard Forums by Milo1946 about the Mokee 4.4.4 rom having the ability to set NV only mode from the rom itself. It is under Mobile Network settings. I don't know anything about this rom. Has anyone tried this and if so did it work to get onto PagePlus?
Tried it, no good
Edit: to elaborate on this. The setting is on all the new cm11 builds but it seems to have the same problem as editing the setting via dfs. It'll always revert to ruim on reboot unless running the ics radio.
Thanks thewraith, I guess we are stuck on 4.1.2. I have heard that Verizon is going to allow LTE on their prepaid. There is some talk of that filtering down to PagePlus. If and when that occurs then will go back to KK.

Yeah that would be nice but I'm not holding my breath waiting for them. The jb bootloader cm11 builds work very good, the only issue I experience is the screen dimmer bug.. It'll sometimes get stuck a bit dimmer then I'd like but it's not that bad. If I ever get the time I've been considering pulling in the source myself to tinker around
